That looked like a fun project. I have a pit barrel cooker and gave really enjoyed using it. Fits nicely with my other cookers. Maybe I need to “upgrade” to a larger drum.

What type of spray
paint you use to paint your drum?
Rustoleum 1200 degree paint and red caliper paint

I seasoned it. Is that what you mean?

Turn the drum sideways and attach a firebox. I might can use it then. Drums are a poor design for cooking protein. Half of your protein is cooking in hell hanging next to the coals while the other half cooks. I wouldn’t take a drum cooker if you gave it to me. It’s counterintuitive to the offset. Cheers!!
Yet countless bbq competitions have been won using a drum smoker.
Interestingly enough, there are offset drums. Maybe I'll make a show about them someday.
