First, let me say that I just discovered your channel a couple of weeks ago. Let me also say, I really like your persona and delivery. Don't change! This TTArtisan 50mm f1.2 lens is actually pretty sharp, wide open. Certainly usably sharp enough. To my eyes, it did sharpen up, a bit, at 1.4, but I didn't see a huge difference when stopped down, more. I've been doing photography for over fifty years (even had a photography business). I've owned a lot of cameras and a lot of lenses, over the years. All that said, this appears to be a very nice lens. One that I would consider getting, if you promise not to tell my wife. She thinks I have too many lenses, already. Of course, there's no truth to that rumor. Keep making informative and amusing videos and I'll keep watching.

I chose the Fujifilm platform BECAUSE of the manual controls. I have grown to love manual focus lenses. Forces me to take my time with my shots and be more deliberate with my clicks. I have a bunch of obscure vintage lenses using an M42 adapter. Right now my favorite is Zenit Helios 58mm with a Red filter for amazing Black & White photos.
On a whim, I bought one last week. It's good enough that I'm now selling all my vintage Pentax lenses. Perfect? No. But I'd be happy to use this professionally for outdoor portraits. What surprised me was just how easily this lens works with Fuji focus peaking. Fun review, many thanks.

You gotta try the ttartisan 50mm f0.95, I have one for sony e (they give you whatever adapter you need), it's glorious. edit: sorry, t0.95, didn't want to confuse anyone.
Viltrox 56mm actually has really smooth focus pulls in this video. They must have new firmware. I really like the look of the 7 artisans kens, but it does not need the BPM filter. It's the first time I ever thought the diffusion was too strong. Looks like a steal for $100
