      Sorry this was not clear: In the comparison of sharpness and contrast, it is the lens itself I compare at different apertures. In the color rendition section, it is the Nikon kit lens for the Z50. I will update the description. THANK YOU!

    I have a Z50 and have some questions i may ask. I started doing photography not so long. Did some weddings with my lenses a 16-50 f/3.5 and 50-250 f/4.5. But i found my smallers lens better at indoor photoshoots but i want better f value to do better Indoor pictures without noise. Do you think this TTartisan can do better indoor with low lights and can i mount it directly to my z50 if i order it? Thank you for your answer!

      Hi, the lens from TTArtisan is made to be mounted in the Nikon z50, but be mindful that it is rather soft wide open and that the lens does not have auto focus. So if you plan to shoot where there is little light you'd need to be really good at manual focus and accept that the images are not tac sharp.

      @@frederikboving Thank you for your fast answer! So what you say, I rather use the Nikkor 16/50 F/3.5 for indoor low light places or I would do better with third TTArtisan?

      @@alexandragulyas6231It depends on what your requirements are. I prefer to add light to a low light scene - that could also be an option. Many fast lenses are soft wide open and that doesn't work for me. But YMMV.

    According to Nikon the Z50 is whether sealed and to the same extend as the D7500.

      All the more reason to miss a gasket on the rear of the lens. My d7500 drowned btw.

      @@frederikboving I saw that episode. As I recall it it was submerged in salt water - salt water and circuit boards is a bad combination. I lost a D800 that way 😞

      @@michaelrasmussen3347 Agreed. Salt water and circuit boards should be kept far apart! Sorry about your D800.

    will it vignette or misbehave on a full sensor?

    • @frederikboving
      @frederikboving  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Must admit I haven't tried but I would imagine it would cause vignetting on a FF camera. I can't imagine it would misbehave as there's no CPU contacts - the lens is basically metal and glass only.

    that aperture blade is dealbreaker, weird bokeh

      Unfortunately slightly rounded blades is the compromise most lens manufacturers choose today. As a landscape photographer I would wish that straight blades was a more common option.
