I like the Rye but mostly have used it in cocktails. Now I primarily drink single malt scotch, mostly peated. I like the Bourbon as well. It's not bad for the price! I usually go for a higher ABV Rye at 95/5 or 100% - which Bulleit is (95/5) but I prefer a better quality Rye and Bourbon. Dill, menthol and lots of spice! I see both of these whiskies as entry level. Barrell Bourbon is interesting! Great video! Cheers!
Cheers! Yeah I always used to see these as entry level but prices have been rising in the UK! I have a bit of a soft-spot for Bulleit in general as it's slight oddities from being rye-heavy were something very different to what we usually got (you couldn't buy any rye whiskies in our supermarkets until a year or two ago!)
Great reply!! I hear you! I just had Bulleit Rye last night and enjoyed it!! I am a scotch person but if I am having an alternative I usually go for the spice, dill and mint in Rye!! Love your videos!! I do love my spice in Rye!!
I absolutely love Rye but find it really hard to go from a glass of Bourbon to a Rye. For me personally it needs to be one or the other or Rye first.
The Bulleit Rye is very enjoyable and very easy to drink.

In recent times I’ve started to lean towards rye. How you got a favourite rye?
Have you tried to Woodford rye?
I haven't tried the Woodford yet - I've already got a few different Woodford's so trying to spread out the brands in my collection but I'll get to it eventually I'm sure. I haven't found a mainstream American Rye that I see as a stand-out favourite yet, but I tried a Finnish rye from the Kyro distillery last week and that was fantastic!
Fuck it buy both, treat yourself.
