    In my opinion many folk overlook the backdrag of many ratchets in favour of things like handle type, tooth count, chrome finish etc. But if the backdrag is above acceptable, it kinda makes the tool useless in many applications.

    Great to see practical examples of using the tools along with ease of use and getting the job done comparisons.
    This will help those who have edge case uses as their everyday work activities compared to those who may just want to ensure as many bases are covered as possible

    That's great, thanks for the video, I also appreciate you showing different bits and how they fit. Does anyone else make a rotator bit ratchet? This is the first I've seen.

      Deen makes one that also comes with 1/4'' and 3/8'' anvils. I got one and it is very handy.

    That Wera adapter you put in the PE360 is a bit long. Facom do one with a shorter hex shaft, model number ECR.1, which will bring socket up flush with the ratchet head. Diezelle57 demonstrates it in at least one of his videos. Gedore do a similar stubby hex/square adapter but I don't have the model number and for me it was more expensive (bought it before I found the Facom). The PE360 kit that includes the screwdriver bits also includes the ECR.1, although no sockets.

    Deen DNR-60TWS (from Factory Gear Japan) the handle bottom had a 1/4 drive for u to put in T bar, and leverage the rotation. Which i think is a nice feature.

      deen with bottom 1/4 drive feature is really good. but the whole ratchet is little bigger.

    It would be nice if it was 18 inches long and it was a flex with that ratcheting handle!

    • @AutobahnDan
      @AutobahnDan 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@aarondavies8486 you’re obviously not a mechanic. Twisting actions eventually move the bit or socket off the fastener. So you need another hand to hold the head of the ratchet. TWO HANDS! think of it, with that space you can just use a regular ratchet! If it had a longer handle, you can remotely twist the handle at a remote location for one hand, then the head of the ratchet can be in a confined location if any… even then, something you’re not gonna be pulling out of your box often..

      @AutobahnDan it's not for cracking off or getting it tight as you can it's for once you have cracked it off then use the handle don't make assumptions you know nothing you mug

    I think that nearly all of Facoms socketry is made in Taiwan now.

    I've got half a dozen bit/bit ratchet combos that would remove that screw 10x faster. Rotary ratchets are cool to play with but real world applications are zero

    The VIM VHC77 would beat them all for clearance.

    • @halama172
      @halama172 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do you mean VHC77 set? I don't think it can beat them all. Rotating handle feature is really efficiency especially when you tight a screw in the start or loosen a screw that is loose.

      @@halama172 Thank you for the correction. I have the box in front of me but typed a C instead of the V. If you read exactly what I wrote I stand by that. I was only stating for clearance the VHC77's half size bits can't be beat. You are stating other features I didn't mention. Clearance is what the VHC77 was made for. Other tools will perform better for different functions but when you need clearance this is it.

      @@philv3941 "this one" is still made in Taiwan. Just checked again. As for 60% of hand tools still being made in France... highly doubt it. The majority is def. outsourced. I have the USAG equivalent of the MAC RBRT wrenches. All made in Taiwan. Facom 1/4 tiny ratchet set also Taiwan (ratchet made by Rotar). 205C hammer also Taiwan. From the top of my head there are few ratchets, the 1/2" telescopic for sure, a few hammers/mallets, one of the older wrench sets, certain accessories (France, although not directly manufactured by Facom). Since SBD aquired the company there isn't much made in France anymore.

    It looks more like an expensive and useless toy than a practical tool that does not even have a minimum of torque to work on slightly tight screws.
