Oscar Peterson is transcendental in a multitude of ways. He gets you high without drugs. High on life itself. God has a special place for people like him.
And let's not forget the awesome bass player? Not mentioned in the credits, but almost certainly Sam Jones (Webster, Gillespie etc and of course Cannonball Adderley) who joined with Bobby Durham in the new trio (1966-70) following Ed Thipgen and Ray Brown. What a fabulous bass player he was. A lovely session altogether and so good to see two greats, Dexter and Oscar, working together with such swing.
I think both gentlemen were quite happy with each other. Especially Dexter was in a blowing mood. Right from the beginning of 'Polka Dots' he took some real harmonic risks and I really appreciate that.
Some of the comments are mind blowing. Some are pleasant and some of line with sublimated messages. There's no words to describe the genus of this music. I'm still learning from these wonderful souls .

I had the honor to personally meet Bobby Durham in a Jazz Club in Marostica in Italy. I remember we shook hands.
