I just wanted to say thank you for having plus-size measurements available. We get left out of wearables sometimes, and it really stinks! Thank you so much
When that happens, leave a comment asking the designer for the “ multiple”. This will give you the # that you have to increase or decrease the original chains to make in your size. For example, a size small is a multiple of 40 ( just using a random #, not actual multiple) with a multiple of 4- 3 for the stitch and 1 for the space between (lik3 the granny stitch above). Then you know to make a large you take 40 and add 4 twice=48. Usually there is a +1 or 2, etc. after the multiple meaning you chain an additional 1or 2 chains at the end. You can also ask how many rounds it is. Either way, let the designer know you are interested in the plus sizes. Some of them feel it might be a lot of work to determine the pattern for all sizes. If they know you’re interested, they are more l8kely to do it.
Just wanted to thank you for this. My mum is a 60 something gigaboomer who has always said she doesn't see the point in TH-cam. This blew up on Facebook in the crochet groups were in and she's now super happy about TH-cam lol
Wow! That's amazing, I have converted your mum! TH-cam is great, that's actually how I learned to crochet! By following videos on basic stitches I picked it up and haven't stopped since!
Hi there, as a neurodivergent folk I usually watch videos with subs and no sound, but I broadcasted this video on my TV and omg I love your voice bad accent best discovery ever ❤️ I also absolutely loved the tutorial for it's my next project, keep going you're awesome 🎉
This is amazing! Thank you so much!! I used to get tested terribly for my accent so to hear that is really lovely! Thank you for taking the time to comment 🥰
I’m in heaven finding this tutorial❤️❤️😁 I’m over the moon I’m actually thinking I can do this. You are a great wonderful teacher. I looked at several tutorials I could have never made this watching them. I’m so happy thank you so much for this tutorial❤️❤️👍😄🎃🎃🎃😄I’m on Round 5 and I actually have 6 corners. I’ve amazed myself. 😁👌❤️❤️ Keep these wonderful fabulous tutorials coming. I’m a beginner I wanted to make this so badly. I’m thrilled. ❤️❤️😄
I have now made 3 of these (easily) because of your clear and easy to follow video, I just wanted to thank you for showing this (and also the printed measurements).......Thanks again
I haven’t finished my cardigan yet but I just need to say this is one of the best crochet videos I’ve watched. I initially found it because I was trying to piece together some hexagons and squares I made (I’m not a pattern-reader) and this video was SO helpful! Especially with the sizes listed in the caption
well I finished my Cardigan only took me like 5 days on and off and I am over the moon , I changed the edging my husban was like , that looks awesome , I am so so stoked , I have never made anything for myself , this is the 1st ever item of clothing I have ever made myself , except for the slippers i have made.. man I wish I could show you..
Very well done! Are you on any social media? You can tag me or message me a pic on instagram, Facebook, tiktok, and threads! I love seeing everyone's creations ❤️
Thank you so much for your Hexagon Cardigan tutorial. I have made my first ever hexagon wearable! I crocheted along with you every stitch of the way. So easy and fun! I'm going to make several more of these in different colors for myself! Thanks again!!
I'm only about a third of the way through the pattern but I wanted to say thank you so so much for this! It's so nice to see this style of cardigan done in plus sizes that won't end up as a square sack. Your instructions are so nice and clear and the measurement checkpoints help a lot!
I'd found this cardi pattern on Pinterest and sent it to my friend telling her I hoped to make one like it. She fell in love with the image and wants one as well. Them I come across the video. This had made my day. I cant wait to start this. Thank you for making such a beautiful cardi and sharing it with everyone so they to can make one. 💗
I’ve been crocheting a few years now, but following this video I made my first wearable item for my daughter and she absolutely loves it! Now I’m going to make one for myself! Thank you for this wonderful tutorial!
I started this a couple of days ago. It comes together unbelievably quickly!! Such a joy to make. The only problem is that I'm already coming up with colour schemes for the next one, I don't think I'll ever want to make cardigans any other way ever again. Thank you ❤❤
Hands down this is the BEST joining technique I've come across in my five years of learning to crochet. I absolutely love the cuffs as well, fantastic. Thank you so much for sharing and giving great tips and information.
Thanks to your clear and detailed instructions it's been so easy for me to follow along and crochet my own hex cardigan! Unlike some other cases (with other people's patterns and tutorials) where I haven't been sure whether I was doing it correctly, here I have no doubt, everything is explained so clearly I'm always sure of what I'm doing. Thanks so much for this tutorial.
I love these Hexagon Cardigans. I have made several of the child's ones. And now it's time for some Adult ones. Thank you so much for all the clear instructions and the time you take to do the tutorials for everyone.❤
You have inspired me to make my own version of this beautiful cardi. I finished it last week and I am Sooooo proud of it thanks to your wonderful step by step guide. Thank you 😘
I tried to watch so many tutorials on how to do this but this is the best video and I actually got the hang of it. Thank you so much!!! Easy gifts for Christmas and birthdays
Making this my next project! Ive wanted to try a peacock themed project for ages and this could be perfect! Various Blues and greens, with some gold and white thrown in.
Thanks for sharing this video. At the moment I’m binge watching TH-cam videos as I’m crocheting my current project. This is next on my list, shunted up after seeing someone wearing one of these made in Sirdar Merry Go Round Rainbow and black it was beautiful (two rounds in each with black ribbing and cuff) . I saw her in the yarn isle of a shop and we got chatting, as you do, my husband sighed as said "I’m going to sit in the car" 😇😂 I like the idea of doing two together when changing colours, I hadn’t thought about that. When I join at the end I don’t do two chain and a slip stitch I just do a half treble (British), turn, then a stack instead of three chain, that’s a double topped with a chain. Not making three chain makes it harder to see where the round starts and ends. Thank you once again for sharing your video and keeping me company as I finish this project. 👍 P.S. How many have you made? As, so far I’ve seen at least three different cuffs and sleeves. All looking lovely I might add.
I finished my sweater today with a matching scarf - you made this experience so simple and easy - measurement listed matched real sizing. Grateful for your talent and sharing!
My daughter asked me to make it for her and I was hesitant because all the sweaters that I've made before have had separate panels and sleeves to put together at the end. Absolutely enjoyed making this cardigan following your clear and detailed instructions! It actually turned out perfect, and my daughter loves it - which was my hope all along:-) I am so grateful for your invaluable tutorial, thank you!!!
I’ve purchased your written pattern for the cardigan and it’s so well written. I’m really loving the video too for additional support 😁 I’m a visual learner so it really helps me to see videos as well as the written pattern. I’m starting my very first hexi cardi in chunky yarn and it definitely won’t be my last of these! Thank you 😁
Grannies are how I started crocheting many moons ago & I have done granny squares, hexagons, triangles, oblongs & even circles but I am always looking for new things to crochet. I have made a cardi for a child before now but not one for an adult so this may well be my first adult granny cardi 🙂
Currently working on my second one of these! This tutorial is amazing - I only started to crochet in January, this was the first wearable item I made that wasn't a beanie and it felt so easy having this as a guide. The measurements and timestamps in the info are also so so helpful for the making of my second one as I didn't need to watch the full video (even though I did at some points anyway because your voice is so lovely to listen to 😊) Thank you!! ❤
This is ny first crochet project! I did a dmall amount and decided it was so tedious i wanted to stop... So, i just made a tiny baby cardigan! Exactly the same but smaller and way less work. Now im going to give them to my whole family for christmas presents. (Lots of babies this year) Thanks so much!
Hi Kelly, I've just started this lovely colourful cardi. I'm doing it with only "one tail to sew"!. I picked up the technique from madebyanita (Made by Anita video tutorial). It's called Granny Squares With Only One Tail To Sew". I've tested it with your hexi and with a tiny adaption of the starting corner, and sticking to your 2R contrasting colours then 1R main colour, works just as well!! And once on the off, only ONE tail to sew in at the end. It'll be back to sewing in ends once out of the hexi, but, hey....😊 best wishes, Sally
Thank you so much! I'm making one for my mom, and the size inclusive pattern is a live saviour. Love the video. It's one of the easiest to follow that I've seen in a long time ❤❤❤
I had started a hexy cardi following another tutorial but they did not allow for neck space and obviously, I had figured that I need to add rows to the back of the cardi. So glad that your tutorial popped up in my timeline with all the measurements worked out for that saving me time for trial and error. THank you for making such a clear and detailed tutorial. ❤💖❤
Finishing my first crocheted garment thanks to you! I will tag you tomorrow when I am done with the last rounds. So happy and pleased with this experience made possible because of your awesome tutorial! Like you: I love all the colors. I am big and tall guy so I made a 4XL and it’s massive!! Many hugs from Provence
Just started this pattern and although followed the measurements i was worried that it was way too small for my "model" (my mother) - now I am reassured that once finished it will fit her - thank you.
Thank you so much! I was scared to start a garment piece but your video has been amazing ❤️ I'm almost finished something I've admired for such a long time x
I love how different hooks made my work different. I did 2 of these G (4mm) and P(3mm), with the very same yarn, only changing hook sizes. Got to admit the one I used 3mm for looks more neat to me
Absolutely loving this - for me personally this has by far been the clearest tutorial - Thank you so much - I now have a hexy cardi on the go an I found myself agreeing with u an then responding to u 😂 I’m using just the one colour as it’s a gift an her fave colour but I cannot wait to come back an do more following your guide x you’re amazing thank you x
I want to thank you for making this tutorial and putting in measurements for different sizes. I've only been crocheting for a couple of months but wanted to try and make a full garment instead of samplers, and a few little items. This is fantastic for me to follow as I haven't mastered pattern reading yet. Massive thumbs up to you, best tutorial I have seen.🤩👍
By far the best tutorial I've watched. I love how you explain everything. Great to have it in real time. You are a great teacher. Can't wait to try this one. Thank you so very much.❤️
So I decided to make a one colour one in a red cranberry colour. Loved it, but hated it on, so made a really bright one using white instead of black and I completely love it, had so many comments when wearing it, thank you for an easy tutorial x
Absolutely 💯 % GORGEOUS AND YES I THINK I’M GOING TO BE HOOKED JUST LIKE YOU ARE AND MAKE LOT’S ~ JUST HAD A THOUGHT ~ THIS WOULD BE NICE FOR NEW BABIES LEAVING HOSPITAL ~AND YOU WOULDN’T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT COLOURING!!❤❤❤ THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING HOW TO MAKE THESE ~ VERY GRACEFUL!!
Just finishing my cardigan for my daughter for part of her Xmas present, thank you so much for your clear instructions,I shall be making this again,it’s so easy. Thanks again xxxx
Thank you for detailed video. I am working my first one and really wanted to add cuffs. I think it makes it more finished and not quite as boxy. I thought that part would be more difficult but it looks quite easy. Your cardigan is very pretty. I'm doing mine in fall colors .
Just wanted to shoot a quick message over to you and say how thankful I am for this tutorial! You explain everything so well and make it easy and fun! Mine turned out great!! ❤
Big hello 👋from Belfast! I'm just finishing a chunky green and navy one!! First time EVER...my sis had made a DK one and told me about this wonderful tutorial!! Absolutely brilliant and so easy to follow! Great that plus sizes are included!
@@MB-zy4cm ah a big massive hi back! 👋🏼👋🏼👋🏼 I'm so pleased you like the tutorial! It was my first one and I've improved since then with regards to picture quality 😆 Happy crocheting 😍🥰😍❤️
Thank you so much for taking the time to write out the measurements for plus sizes. I’ve been struggling to work out how many more rows I have to do in order for this thing to finally fit me. 2 weeks in to making this cardi with a light weight yarn and I’ve given myself golfers/tennis elbow 😂.
Thank you for making a video to this! I’m sitting in a chair with Ribblr open on row 2 and hopped over to TH-cam to see if anyone could clarify the *sk 3dc in person. Thank you!!
This tutorial is amazing! You are a great teacher, thank you for going into such comprehensive detail and including instructions for single colour. Can’t wait to start my first cardigan! 😊
My friend has just finished one of these cardigans for me, I love love love it, thank you for your wonderful video & your voice is so easy to listen to. ❤
Me encantó la forma en que vas explicando. Aunque no hablo muy bien inglés, el ir viendo paso a paso el tutorial, es fácil de entender. Me encantó tu video. Ahora, a empezar mi propio tejido.
This was so amazing to watch and the cardigan is absolutely beautiful. No wonder you can rip one of these beauties up in next to no time…you are just so fast 😮😅 Thank you for taking the time to show us how it’s done. The varying sizes is much appreciated 💕
Thank you so much! Oh these take me ages to make 🤣 the quickest one was my Christmas version. I made that in 4 days, but totally neglected my entire family 🙈😆
oh my gosh thank you sooo much for this!! I've been searching for a simple hexi cardi tutorial and everything I find is a "spin off" of the original hexi cardi and I was banging my head against the wall! this has been sooo helpful
I love this tutorial, so now I'll have to make one of course ( as if I haven't got enough projects going at the moment!) Will make a start today the more things I have to make the better I never get bored. 😄
This is the very first cardigan I’ve ever made, and I absolutely LOVE it. The pattern was so easy to follow. Thank you so much for this tutorial. I plan to make so many more 😂
I've made 2 of these cardigans now from your channel. You've probably heard this before, but you have a nice voice and your instructions are so easy to follow! I'm making one more now so both my daughters and I all have one to cozy up with as fall is really hitting us now. Thank you! xx
That came out fantastic! Plus you gave a great tutorial all the way around. Thank you for teaching and sharing this with us. I can't wait to start picking my colors! 🧶🤓
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I am on to making a third version of this for my youngest daughter 🥰 Absolutely love the simplicity and ease of the pattern!
Thank you thank you thank you. I have been wanting do make a hexagon cardi but other tutorials have been to complicated yours is amazing and fun to watch It was like a friend teaching me, every step was so clear and easy to understand and my cardi came out looking fantastic. Thank you ❤
Thank you I just watched again the video and am so pleased I finished my first ever cardigan you are such a good teacher the work cant fail thank you ever so much
Hi. I’m a brand new subscriber- but not new to crochet. I just wanted to tell you that I’ve saved this and it will be on my hook just as soon as I put the finishing touches on my current project- a cardigan. You are an excellent instructor for the tutorial. Thank you so much. Smile😊
This is on my to do list. I have done the continous granny square shrug. So i am ready to try my hand at one of these cardigans I have seen all over the place.
You have inspired me, too. I started a summer cardi for myself. I live in FL and use light sweaters or cotton jackets in the a/c here. I will post a picture soon. THANK YOU!
Thank you for your clear concise instructions!! I wish I had found you first, because making both hexigons at the same time would have kept me from making the second one with tension different. 😑 I figued out how to adjust to avoid ripping out all the stitches. I love your colorful work!
These cardi r soooo popular, started 1 about a yr ago and ran out of the yarn i was using half way thro 2nd Granny hex and couldn't get hold of anymore so i frogged it. Ive even seen a celeb wearing 1 the other day on a quiz show. Gonna have to do 1 again. Ive got rainbow fuzzy yarn, but im torn between this but oversized, the jumper and the cropped cardi 😂
Thank you so much for this extensive explanation. I am so happy to finally have found an explanation including measurement for so many sizes. I started yesterday with my vest and curious how it will look like. Thanks again ❤
I made this for my mum and she loved it! Thanks for the pattern and video, super easy to follow and looks great, will have to make one for myself now 🙈❤️
Thank you for this tutorial! I’ve become obsessed with making these and am on my second one in a week 😂❤ it’s my new favorite project. I would love a tutorial for the stunning looking sweater you’re wearing in the beginning of the video with the white cuffs and blue/orange sleeves😍 it looks gorgeous
I just wanted to say thank you for having plus-size measurements available. We get left out of wearables sometimes, and it really stinks! Thank you so much
You are so welcome ❤️

Thats interesting to know! I always tend to go for the larger hook in the hopes that it won't take as long 😂🙈
Always go up a couple of hooks sizes on most clothing items as i tend to find the drap is so much better and yes definitely quicker lol.
What weight yarn did you use? I'm about to start one and am not entirely sure what size hook to go with.🤔
Absolutely loving this - for me personally this has by far been the clearest tutorial - Thank you so much - I now have a hexy cardi on the go an I found myself agreeing with u an then responding to u 😂 I’m using just the one colour as it’s a gift an her fave colour but I cannot wait to come back an do more following your guide x you’re amazing thank you x
Ahh thank you so much! I'm so pleased that you are enjoying it! ❤️
Thank you so much!! Im pleased that you are enjoying it!
By far the best tutorial I've watched. I love how you explain everything. Great to have it in real time. You are a great teacher. Can't wait to try this one. Thank you so very much.❤️
Thank you so much for this amazing feedback 😍🙂
So I decided to make a one colour one in a red cranberry colour. Loved it, but hated it on, so made a really bright one using white instead of black and I completely love it, had so many comments when wearing it, thank you for an easy tutorial x
Thats amazing! You are very welcome ❤️

Thank you so much. I bet it looks amazing ❤️
By far the easiest tutorial I’ve found - a great big thank you! Your soothing voice is also helping to keep me sane!
Ah amazing thank you ❤️
Just wanted to shoot a quick message over to you and say how thankful I am for this tutorial! You explain everything so well and make it easy and fun! Mine turned out great!! ❤
I really appreciate that! Thank you so much ❤️
Big hello 👋from Belfast!
Hi can I ask how many balls of chunky yarn you used please
I am making a size small. Thanks
Thats ok!! 🙂❤️
Thank you for making a video to this! I’m sitting in a chair with Ribblr open on row 2 and hopped over to TH-cam to see if anyone could clarify the *sk 3dc in person.
Thank you!!
Ahh no worries! I'm glad it's helped! ❤️
This tutorial is amazing! You are a great teacher, thank you for going into such comprehensive detail and including instructions for single colour. Can’t wait to start my first cardigan! 😊
You are very welcome!

Me encantó la forma en que vas explicando. Aunque no hablo muy bien inglés, el ir viendo paso a paso el tutorial, es fácil de entender.
Me encantó tu video. Ahora, a empezar mi propio tejido.
Thank you so much 💓
This was so amazing to watch and the cardigan is absolutely beautiful.
Aww you are very welcome 🤗
I'm on to my second in 3 weeks. It sure is a very addictive pattern!
Thats amazing! Yes I really love making ones out of scrap yarn ❤️

Hi. I’m a brand new subscriber- but not new to crochet.
I just wanted to tell you that I’ve saved this and it will be on my hook just as soon as I put the finishing touches on my current project- a cardigan.
You are an excellent instructor for the tutorial. Thank you so much. Smile😊
Ahh amazing! Thank you so much for your support ♥️
Great tutorial, love seeing the sleeves of your crochet garments too. So many ideas and I’m using your idea and making my 2 hexis at the same time.
Thank you. Yes I also make mine at the same time if I'm changing colour, I don't know why but it always feels quicker!
Ik ben m ook aan t maken, gaat super mooi worden.
@@gerryteeuwen3810 thank you 😊
This is on my to do list. I have done the continous granny square shrug. So i am ready to try my hand at one of these cardigans I have seen all over the place.
Be warned they can be very addictive! 😆😍
Amazing tutorial! Thank you for sharing. I started this afternoon. I'm only on my 7th round 😘
Ah amazing! Thank you so much 🥰
PERFECT PRACTICAL IDEA TO MAKE 2 AT ONCE. YOURS IS GREAT EVEN AFTER THE TRIO OF DC WHERE YOU DO NOT CHAIN ONE. I LOVE THIS DEMO!
Thank you 😊
This is so wonderful! It’s on my list to make! You’re an excellent teacher! Thanks for this fantastic tutorial. ❤️💜💗
Thank you so much! 💓
Just completed my first hexi following your simple instructions. It worked out great. Thankyou x
Ahh amazing thank you!
This is the best Cardigan video I have ever seen.. thank you for making it 💕💕
Oh wow thank you so much! 💓
You have inspired me, too. I started a summer cardi for myself. I live in FL and use light sweaters or cotton jackets in the a/c here. I will post a picture soon. THANK YOU!
Thats amazing to hear! I would love to make one in cotton too as soon as I find the time! 😆💕
Can you possibly do an add on tutorial for adding pockets? I’m a pocket fiend!
Ha ha yes I love a pocket, I hadn't thought about it to be honest but it's a good idea! 😀
This will be my make for the EAYF 2023! Thank you for the demo
Amazing!! How exciting 😍
I just found your channel and subscribed. I love your tutorial for the hexagon cardigan. I'm going to start mine today💖
Thank you so much!! I cant wait to add more content. I'm just making my little girl a cardigan and then record a new tutorial!
Thank you for your clear concise instructions!! I wish I had found you first, because making both hexigons at the same time would have kept me from making the second one with tension different. 😑 I figued out how to adjust to avoid ripping out all the stitches. I love your colorful work!
You are very welcome! 😁🥰
Maravilloso trabajo 👏...seria genial si lo tradujeran al español 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Yes I need to sort out subtitles! Thank you for reminding me! 🥰😍
They are good fun and a great stashbuster!
Thank you so much for sharing your talent xx🐝💕
Aww thank you 🥰🥰
Thank you so much for this extensive explanation. I am so happy to finally have found an explanation including measurement for so many sizes. I started yesterday with my vest and curious how it will look like. Thanks again ❤
You are very welcome!
Thank you so much for this pattern!! Starting to make myself and my nephew one
Your very welcome 😍🥰

Ooh lovely!! Have fun 😀
Thank you I am
brilliant you make it look so easy 😍
Thank you. It seems so much harder than it really is. Once you get going and learn the pattern of the stitches, then the rest is easy 🙂
I am working your pattern now. I love your outfit changes.......all the different sweaters you had on while filming.
Ha ha yes, I do live in my crochet 🤣❤️
Thank you for this tutorial! I’ve become obsessed with making these and am on my second one in a week 😂❤ it’s my new favorite project. I would love a tutorial for the stunning looking sweater you’re wearing in the beginning of the video with the white cuffs and blue/orange sleeves😍 it looks gorgeous
Thank you, these are so fun to make! ❤️
