@Chaotic Borya I think I know what he is talking about. It just games don't feel like games anymore. There hasn't been a game where I could go around and feel like a badass. I thought god of war was gonna satisfy that but it felt like a movie and less like a game. Which is cool but I was expecting more game you know. I wanted to feel like the god of war. Prototype and Web of Shadows are the only games that make me feel like a boss

And you got a point in there, "games that make you happy" or at least that trascend the time to bring back some of the context of your life in that moment. I played a lot of games, but always the best memories are from the past and often I don't get the same energy from modern games, plus today's world its nothing like when your only responsability is to aprove a math's test. I loved this game, for me was way to similar to Asssasin's creed, and AC were a huge bomb. From that time of my life, the games that made me happy and mark me in someway were Age of Mythology, Diablo II, Sacred, God of War II, Fable, TES: Oblivion, GTA:SA, CS 1.6, Half-life II, Halo II, COD II, SWJK: Jedi Academy, Sims II, NFS: Underground II. I was a 15 old year boy that enjoyed too much being all the weekends in the PC or PS2. I think that it's the point that this fellow it's talking about, not feelin' a god mode, but being inocently happy in golden times.
The only thing i hate about this is they made Alex Mercer into a generic villain in the second game. They could've given him more depth, but no, he suddenly turn into the most generic villain.
The reason Alex Mercer becomes evil is because after killing the Supreme Hunter and preventing a Nuke from destroying New York, After roaming across New York saving Civilians and getting more tired as he goes, After a while he realizes New York can't be saved.
Games back then were so good. I remember picking it up at my local Gamestation, back when they still existed simply because of the box art. Sank so many hours into it. Wish they would bring these kinds of games back. Prototype. Hulk Ultimate Destruction. Such great games.

The main thing it has going for it is its speed of attack but it still can't compete with other slower but more powerful attacks from other powers. It's a basic power and makes sense since it's the first one you get. Hammer fist: Very strong but also slow. Only used for tanks or a horde of enemies. It's mostly an AOE power but it also has the hammer toss which can be used for transportation and it's a lot of fun to use Whip fist: Good for crowd control and reaching targets. It's also good for fighting when trying to keep a good distance away from a target but it doesn't nearly have as much damage as other powers. It's only powerful when you charge it for its whip attack combo Muscle mass: Arguably the second or third most powerful and useful weapon. It cranks up your normal powers by a lot and basic attacks, while normal, packs a bigger punch that makes normal enemies explode into a bloody puddle. Blade: The ultimate weapon in your arsenal and probably the most powerful. It's great for crowd control, tanks and other powerful enemies. The only thing it doesn't excel in is the reach which is outdone by the whipfist but you make up for this with the aerial slice (other powers can do air attacks too but the blade has more damage) All weapons have their own little unique thing but the blade is probably the swiss army knife of Alex's powers once you get it and upgrade it.
I would go absolutely insane if a current gen remaster was done. It would definitely be a big undertaking though. This game has so many different particle effects and detail that still remain impressive til this day. Especially considering the time it was released.
I don't usually pre-order games and this was one of the ones I ever pre-ordered and did not regret it. Awesome game! Definitely need more games like this.

It's funny because what made this game so successful, is what killed the Saints Row series. Although me personally, I loved the Saints Row game and story. I prefer it over GTA...
@@we-must-live no, I am usually brave enough not chose easy mode but I just have to little time for higher difficulties. But it definitely had its tricky moments. Sometimes my success after several failed attempts felt a bit random. Then I often feel like this about open world games.

When playing these games, after maxing out the characters, you can just feel the difference between Mercer and Heller. Mercer is faster, and stronger, while playing Heller feels slow, and there isn't enough power to one shot a helicopter like Mercer could. That's how you can tell Mercer let Heller win.
You simply can’t get as creative with ways to torture your enemies in P2. Fights in P1 actually feel like a fucking battlefield and it’s straight up chaotic fun

@@datboy038 plus the camera zooms out way to much out of the pov in P2 and doesn't have that same impact like in P1
