I have not driven the GT4 so I can’t comment on it. However I have raced the 981 GTS PDK around Speedvegas and it is still my benchmark when I drive anything else.

I agree....truth is the 981 GTS represents outstanding value and delivers in terms of performance and driving experience all that any regular driver can ask for, especially when driving on public roads - not track. I find comments about steering feel and lacking feed-back rather questionable when a car is driven on a public road at a fraction of its ability and the car can handle much more than a regular street driver is able to do in the first place. If you had put Michael Schumacher in a base Cayman against any You Tube Channel driver in a GT3 RS, Michael Schumacher would be already out of sight after the first corner......

@@uweheinrich6784 The 981 GTS (with PTV, PSE, PASM and SC) is in my view one of the best all round sports cars Porsche has ever produced. Very nice balance of performance and liveability. In the real world it gives up very little in performance to the GT4 especially if it has PDK and sport chrono. Moreover, steering feel is often a function of tire type and level of wear. I own some great cars (296 GTB, 720S and 991.2 GT3 RS) and still own a 981 GTS (on Pilot Sport 4S). It doesn't give up much in the real world, sounds great and is very chuckable - its a lot of fun.

GT4 has GT3 front end suspension, brakes etc and the rear suspension is bespoke to the GT4.
They are very different to a GTS

Knew front suspension is different didn’t realize rear is completely different too

Is there clutch weight different between the two?

This GTS looks like it has 70000+ miles. At least it does to my old eyes. Possibly some of the suspension and steering gear is tired. What tires are on both cars?

The gts premium isn't worth it over the S

I promise you it is. More HP, more torque and three radiators Vs two.

@@VK6AB- more power leads to wanting more. The boxster S is on 315bhp, the tune takes it to 355bhp....so maybe one day. An additional radiator is like £400 but i don't track and it has never over heated (cool climate in the uk)
The gts gets the hype, but a fully loaded S is where the value is.

@@Jay-xr3sb Depending on where you're located the GTS comes fully loaded - even the most basic GTS has a high quality interior with most of the fruit plus 20 inch wheels and a very different front facia. To spec a S to the GTS level costs a lot more than buying the S and as previously said, you get more HP torque and third radiator, without third party involvement. Thats why they hold their value and I don't think you can get the front fascia. Its the same with the 911 thats why the GTS is considered the sweet spot for a lot of buyers. Add to that you get much harder on the S with depreciation. Don't take me the wrong way, the S is excellent. Any day you drive a good Porsche is a good day 😀

@@VK6AB- I hear you, I've done my research too. When NEW the gts offers more value, but i purchased a 2013 boxster in 2024 with every option and it offered a massive discount over a gts in the same spec.
The front and rear facia are the sports design package, I cam pick it up for 1,800 but I have steep driveway, maybe later.

Great & thorough review, though doesn’t the Gt4 come with rev match that eliminates any need for heel & toe altogether?
