Was just out fishing yesterday. We had a storm come in a few days back so the bite was a bit weird this time a year. Took me a couple hours to figure out where they were and what they wanted. They were hanging out in deeper water than usual this time a year, around 12-15 feet over deep grass. Drop shot with about 8 in lead and I just couldn't not catch fish. Spent more time fishing one setup than I ever have because thats what these fish wanted. Dropshot straight tail roboworm in bold bluegill color with 1/2 ounce weight. Tried a shakeyhead zman Fattyz for a bit and nothing. Switched back to that dropshot and was back on the bite. It was a weird fishing day, but it was a hell of a good time.
All due respect to the G.O.A.T., this is appears to me to simply be normal drop shotting, just with heavier than normal drop shot weights for deep water fishing. TRUE Power shotting involves, heavier gear...rod, line, larger hooks and baits, to access bass in heavy cover and structure. Still a great video and instruction!
