I wouldn't hide this from your Dad. I am a parent to three children. In my opinion, I think that this video shows intelligence and the ability to choose what you are most comfortable with, to find your own way, to admit your mistakes (or near close calls), and dare I say, the morals you have been taught. If you were my daughter and I saw this, I would be proud of the choices you have made and the person you have grown into.

I'm so so glad you chickened out. My mom used to work at the rape crisis center when I was young. She used to take my sister and I with her to these classes she used to do where she would show movies of situations and how they can turn out wrong and what you should do. When you were talking about this, everything in my head was screaming NOOOOO! Again, glad you didn't do it.
Lia, it just show how smart you are. Situations like that could get young women into trouble. Thank goodness you made a different decision. With age comes experience,wisdom and perspective.

You are so personable and would have done well at it. You can talk to anyone and they would have loved you if it only been out to eat , going to a pub or to the cinema. On the other hand, it would have been so scary and you never know what the person's real intentions are. Thanks for sharing!!
I went to college in Palm Beach Florida - lot of old money there. One of my friends was a companion to an elderly lady. Turns out it was THE MRS KRAFT (the condiment tycoon). She literally just wanted his friendship. He took her to the mall, carried her bags, etc,,, she like to try and do things on her own and she’d ask Brady to wait for her. She’d go shop and then try to find her way back to him she usually ended up lost and had to call him so he could find her. So cute!

I'm actually a really conservative woman but.... when I was like 23 I was in a hard place in my life and I went on a sugar daddy site and had some interested but the "terms" were weird to me and I slapped myself right back to my morals. I'm so glad I never did it. Not trying to shame women who do this, it just isn't me.

Not sure where you come from but where I come from and the programs and articles I have watched, sugar daddy's and their young sugar babies are "usually" in more intimate relationship than just being "arm candy" whilst going out on the town and keeping each other company. If you are interested there are quite a few shows on you-tube, ABC Nightline on Sugar Daddies and Babies & 60 Minutes Australia - The Secret World of Sugar Babies. Both very good programs. It tells the same story about the industry as most of the others. Not that there can't be exceptions in these relationships but it seems to be the norm, that there is a physical relationship. Thankfully, Lia listened to her intuition that was telling her it was not a good position to put herself in.

I think a lot of people enter into those things with a lot of misconceptions which could end badly. You would definitely need to establish some ground rules.
Just watched a dating safety video the other day. Going to a stranger's private house is a high risk move. It is so easy for the man to suddenly get physically violent behind closed doors. Another point is that it's usually just a short walk from the living room to the bedroom. It is theoretically possible for the man to overpower the female, drag her to the bedroom and then sexually assault her on his bed. I have heard of people renting the company of others as a "loneliness prevention" move. One way they can do this is by hiring someone from an escort service. However, escort services have a very slimy, nasty reputation in the US. Some people think that an escort always ends up naked giving favors to the other person in the end.
It's sad when you have to pay someone to pretend to be your friend.
In some Asian countries it's normal to pay someone to be your friend or even to act like your family member 😂😂. They also have a rent a friend website that I believe is for more than one country but it does emcompass the US

Hey Lia, you ought to think about getting a ukulele. It will help you to play guitar, the fingerings are the same, uke is like the guitar with a capo on the 5th fret. Plus it's very easy to pickup and just start strumming, so people tend to practice more. For $100 bucks you can get a very playable uke these days. Enjoying your work ! Glad your health is back !

Men who would accompany older ladies to the theater or other events used to be called "walkers". I did know a young woman who told me she "dates for a living", but I noticed that although she lived at a good address, her apartment was rented and so was her furniture. Her furs were inexpensive and so was her jewelry. If the "daddy" left then she'd be left with nothing but wasted time.

Oh, Dearheart, I am so, so glad you changed your mind. Going to some strange man's house could have put you in so much danger. I shudder to think about it. You are too lovely and maybe a bit too naive to think that these men would just want a friend, but more along the line of "friend with benefits." Don't consider it as "chickening out," but more along the lines of "smartening up."
Very, very true. Their are plenty of shows on you tube from the U.S. and Australia about the reality of the sugar daddy & sugar baby relationship. Lia certainly dodged an uncomfortable situation at the very least. Thankfully!

No matter what your income is everyone says the same thing...."If only I had twice as much as "insert income" I"m making now" It doesn't even matter if you're well off. People who make a salary of the national household income think..."man I'm struggling. If I could just make an extra 2k a month my life would be perfect" But when you reach that level those people still think the same thing. Because you've just bumped up your standard of living and life just demands more of you. And it feels like it's never enough. Yet people figure out how to survive at a poverty level.
I make a little more than the national average household income as an American. (which is about 50 - 60k per year) So like 95% of Americans live off of this amount before deductions from your paycheck. But it's a hustle cause let me tell you....even though you're making the status quo it's STILL not enough to live like you'd think an average american house hold should look like. That is .... a 2,500 square foot house on a half acre property supporting a wife and 2 kids and a pet. Fully covered with enough to splurge on vacations and maybe an expensive hobby.
The truth of the matter is you can really afford being a renter. That most of Americans are living in debt and spending above their means. Or they have alternative income you don't hear about like inheritance or maybe theyre renting part of the house out to a family member. Or some kind of side hustle. Then after 10 years or so of living it up they down size back to trailer in florida or something when they hit retirement and move back in with their adult kids and are completely broke lmao.
Anyways I've rambled on enough. I just thought it was funny when you said .... 6:19
When I think of Craigslist. I think of the Craigslist Killer. I'd be so scared of being raped & killed. Thank God you chose another path.

I would have been the same way. I was such a chicken when I was younger with that stuff. I would have been afraid of what else would be expected. What if he was a secret serial killer or something and that was how he got his victims. I have a vivid imagination for things that could go wrong. I think there's a lot of sugar babies in entertainment business. People don't want to commit and potentially lose all their money if they get married so they just pay for company. They can cut them loose when ever they want then right?

Googling the term I found it to be a small square container used for irregular sizes fruits and vegetables and usually about 250 grams or about 8.8 ounces.
