Rich, as usual, your driving skills are pure sorcery. Finally subscribed. Thanks for all your info, I just ordered my Typhon 3S and will be going through all you vids (and any others I can find) for upgrade info! Keep up the killer work, thank you!
it just snowed like 2 feet where im at in Canada watching you rip on these jumps got me missing summer but it is a lot of fun building huge jumps out of snow great exercise and fun and almost impossible to break things landing in 2 feet of snow
Thanks for all the tips Rich. Love the 3s BLX. Such a nice basher for the price. If you haven't got it already I highly recommend the tbone racing basher bumper. I've hit a pole at full speed with it and no damage at all. Also stops it digging in when you mess up a jump.
Thanks so much Brother 🤗. Just saw your comment 👀. Fantastic basher for the price indeed. Truly appreciate the feedback on the Tbone too 👍. Been running the 6s Basher bumpers for years on the other rigs and they've done great. I'll definitely grab a 3s one. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Thanks so much Stevo 👊!!!! These Trackstar Turnigy shocks are like 15-16$ per set😲. Throw some softer springs on and your golden 👌. Full adjustability, great dampening with all aluminum and hardened 4mm shafts 😜🤘🤘😎💪💪💪👊👊
I wish these shocks weren't discontinued. I've tried the zd racing shocks and I'm not too impressed with them. They leak and the shafts bend just as easily as the stock ones. I just bought a new set from Jenny's rcs from the V3 Typhon. We'll see how they hold up and if they leak or not.
Hey Rich, try using a Granite body mount to protect your shock towers. You can snip the nipples 😮 off for a smooth finish. It does a great job protecting the tower. I use a Granite mount for the front and a Senton mount for the rear for my Senton-Typhon hybrid Mega. I run no wing, so the Senton body mount works for the rear tower.
Thanks so much Chris 👊!!!! That's funny cuz I was already thinking about doing something similar up front atleast 👌. Really appreciate the tip Brother 👍🤘🤘😎💪👊👊
@@richduperbash2966 the Arrma mounts are instructable. The mount sets come with a front and rear, and one of them hangs over the tower further. Paired with the TBone Granite bumper, my towers won't touch the ground without extreme force bending the body mount. Thanks for all the cool vids 👊 Peace from Vancouver, Canada.
NIce Video man, I am thinking of buying all the upgrade stuff before getting one but it seems like hobbyking does not find the shock SKU or Serial anymore...
Thanks Brother 👊!!!! Looks like they're out of stock at the moment anyways 🤔. I'd recommend doing a shock upgrade search on the ARRMA 3&4s Facebook Forum. Lots of other good options out there. hobbyking.com/en_us/1-8-alu-shock-absorber-set-106mm-2.html
@@richduperbash2966 rich I really have to say thank you. I bought my first rc car. A used hpi buggy flux as a grown 33y old man and started to learn and really fell in love with this hobby. Since about a week I am soaking up all your explanations and tips. Thank you so much. Since parts are spare and a lot of needed alu parts aren't available anymore I will switch to a typhon 3s to learn balancing and airtime.
As you said 3s BLX rigs, these shocks should fit the Big Rock also? I was on the fence about using 6s typhon shocks but this is much more justifiable financially. And thanks again Rich for helping to take out the guess work for us all.. really helps save $$ =)
Thanks Garrett👊!!!! So happy to find a quality 4mm shock at a bargain price 👌. It's nice the color scheme matches up too. Happy bashing Brother 🍻🤘🤘😎💪👊👊
Looks like this is in the Sacramento area. Where specifically. I've been trying to find a place somet hing like this locally. Chico is too far of a drive for me to use their track.
This is at 7st and Richards Blvd. Unfortunately, the pump track "Township 9 bike park" was flattened a year ago in October 😞. There's other jumps near the gravel pile at the same location. 😎💪👊👊
Thanks Rich👊!!!! This Typhon smokes it with a 20T and HR mount 👌. Probably my favorite 3s overall for speed and handling. Much appreciated Brother 👍👍😎💪👊👊
So I bought a 3s lipo with 50c and 5200 and I charged it up and when I went to plug it in it was the wrong plug how do I plug it in or what do I need to buy for it to work
Always Great Videos ! Thanks for parts #'s ! just got my T-bone Bumpers for BRCC plus 4x 3S 4500 Lipos,Diff & Shock oils so my 2.8 Backflip tires & wheels and Hex Extensions will have to wait till first of March! : ) : )
Great bench vid Rich!👊I had looked at the Track Star shocks a while back but was worried about the quality. They look to be pretty sweet though! Glad they worked for ya! I'm still on the fence about shocks for my Granite. For now I just did 50 weight oil all the way around. Feels MUCH better. Just not sure how long they'll hold up🤔😬There just isn't a lot of options without going cheap Chinese offbrands..😂Wicked footage of rippin and jumps at the end bro! The Outcast looks totally BADASS!! Sweet body too! Great vid as usual!!😎👊🤘🤘🍻
Thanks so much Eric 👊!!!! Yeah I first saw these Trackstars in Vasco's Outcast vid like a year ago but forgot all about them. Thanks to Alex on the forum 👍 I'm super stoked. Haven't seen anything this nice for 32$ both sets. Feels plush with the Durango springs. I ordered another set for the Big Rock. Appreciate the kind words Brother 👊🤘🤘😎💪💪💪👊👊
For dry bashes, I blow them off with air compressor and wipe them down. For wet bashes (or after enough dry dust bashes), I rinse them off, spray them with Simple Green 50/50 water mix, scrub wherever needs it with scrub brushes, rinse off, dry with a shop blower and air compressor, hit all bearings with WD-40 Silicone spray and run the car again briefly.
Thanks brother 👊!!! I use Tekno rod ends (TKR6140B) with either Arrma or Tekno steel pivot balls. Arrma Nero HD rod ends are also beefcake and may actually be stronger. Tekno's have a locking spring perch so you never loose your spring or holder. 🤘🤘😎💪👊👊
Hey Rich. It has been a year! How this and the 3S senton did??? Any preference between these two? In looking for one for racing with my friends. Awesome video!!
Thanks so much Diego 👊!!!! I still love the Typhon and Senton 3s. I do favor the Typhon, but that's cuz I have a thing for buggy's 😍. Both could work great for racing with friends. 😎💪👊👊

Thanks so much Kenny 😊!!!! This 3s truly is sick😜. Hope you'll try one of them out. With a few mods they're screaming fast and very capable. Hope all is well Brother 👍👍😎💪👊👊
I got a broken typhon mega 3s. Dude kept the esc for and gave me a broken motor. So I scrapped it and got a 6s esc and motor. All I’m waiting on is a pinion gear to get it going. I’m thinking it’s going to be a little fast
Question #RichDuperbash, I have a pair of the 6s #Typhon shocks on my 3s #Typhon ok! I am doing more speed runs vs bashing with this rig! Would weIght shock oil would you recommend if I am only doing street runs with 6s ARRMA #Typhon shocks installed? I think they come with 80w stock from the factory that I bought from JennyRC.
I'm not totally sure on the best weight for speed runs, but think most guys run on the heavier side 🤔. I believe the Typhon comes with 500cst or 40 weight (atleast it used to) and Kraton/Outcast comes with 80 weight/1000cst. Most speed run setups are lowered with droop adjustment and shorter shocks. Obviously, there's no droop screws on the 3&4s models, but there's ways to limit travel. You can place spacers or fuel tubing inside the shock body under the the pistons...etc. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Nice update and upgrades my brother looking solid definitely taking those jumps 😎 sorry about the glitching hope it works out can't wait to see more on the outcast 👊
Thanks so much Brother 👊!!!! Hope this vid helps people with upgrade options 🍻. These shocks were only 32$ for all 4. Definitely not bad for hardened steel 4mm shafts and nice solid construction. Got my Outcast sorted🤘🤘😎💪👊👊
Killer killer video my friend. Awesome updates on all things RC! LOVE the different bashing locations with the Typhon 3S in one video. Just recently picked up one myself. It's Sold Out pretty much everywhere. Had to drive a damn hour to pick up mine but definitely worth it LOL 😂. Bash away brother.
Thanks so much Chris 😊!!!! That's friggin AWESOME 😝👌👌. With a few upgrades these rigs are extremely tough and tunable. Super easy to wrench on and maintain. The quickness and agility is super impressive. Bash on my friend 🤩!!!! 🤘🤘😎💪💪💪👊👊
Sick video man. Do you prefer the truggy set up on typhon?, it seems your running stock wheels. Also, did you put the HR hex extenders on the typhon? thanx
Thanks Brother 🤗. I like switching between buggy wheels and my 2.8 Badlands glued on original Proline F11 2.8 rims (17mm hex). They have a 1/2" offset and are much lighter than MX28's for speed and nice handling 👌. No need to change hexs on the Typhon 3s. 🍻😎💪👊👊

I have used Typhon 6s V2 shocks with lighter oils and softer Team Durango springs on my Senton 3s. Did a vid about it months ago. Yes the driveline can handle 4s. Just depends on wheel mass and driving style. 😎💪👊👊
Hey there duperbash, is there something wrong with the stock shocks that come on the typhon 3s? Just curious cuz I’ve been upgrading a few things on mine and thinking shocks may be next. However is it necessary to bash fairly hard, or are the stick ones gonna hold up? Sucks they’re not adjustable other than the spring tensioner clips. Let me know if you’ve found a better upgrade for shocks? Will the 6s typhon shocks work? Thanks man!!
@@richduperbash2966 I checked out them Pro Line shocks..... HELL no, am I paying $150 for damn shocks, when the entire RTR car was $340. That's insane lol.
@@bra1nc417d yeah that's completely absurd 😱. Best to find some alloy threaded body 4mm shaft shocks close in length to the stocks. Hot Racing might work? Another idea is Typhon 6s shocks off eBay or Jenny's RC. I run V2 Typhon shocks on my Senton 3s.
@@richduperbash2966 RC4WD looks decent too. I'm still a bit skeptical of them "thicker" shafts, as not all metals are created equally. Cheap parts, typically means, cheaper materials. Only one way to truly know for sure. I just gotta take a chance on something. I'm not planning on sending my ride to the moon, or anything, anyway lol.
Awesome! Thanks for all the part numbers! I have these shocks on the way. Got the spacers for the A-arm. Will figure something out for the shock towers to take up the slop 👍 Glad you got the electronics issue sorted 👍 I like Savox but some of them are noisy and do the play nice with rtr electronics 🤣
Thanks Aaron 👊!!! These shocks are a nice upgrade 👌. Way more durable and tuneable. Fitment is pretty simple. Yeah I'm glad to get the Outcast electronics sorted. 🍻🤘🤘😎💪👊👊
Rich after all of these years did you ever come up with a Kraton wing mount solution? I break one every 4 days (although it’s cold here in NYC). Rpm broke faster than stock lol. I will say the Tekno wings hold up great, I used to break the Kraton stock wings easily in winter.
Some guys swear by Hot Racing aluminum ones🤔. I still just run stock Arrma HD ones. Try soaking it in WD-40 for more pliability. I'd let it sit overnight at least. Cold weather is brutal on plastics 🤪🤘🤘😎💪👊👊
Aluminum??? No Fn way lol, sounds like disaster because I have the Voltage towers and wing mount. I think it’s a design flaw TBH, it’s a long mount compared to trucks that mount it to the tower directly. Maybe Mitch can whip up a delrin one or a different way to mount. It’s def a problem.
@@wolfpack7182 LMAO 😜!!!! Yeah I personally don't think aluminum is a good idea either....Lol🤘. It is frustrating when they keep snapping. Tbones Delrin wing bracket looked solid, but that definitely didn't work for me either👎. I feel the mount should have some flex to protect the tower. I'll bring it up with the test team and Mitch. My method is do my best not to wing land but that's not always possible....Lol🤪. Hard rolls can break them too. I'll see if we can come up with a different design. 🤔
Rich did you even use those 17MM Hex adapters that are 10mm off set along with the GPM racing Rear and Front knuckles on the 3s Typhon? Also, yesterday I bought a new servo for her, I got the Savox SW-0230MG Waterproof HV Digital Servo W/FREE ALUMINUM HORN ! Would you recommend keeping the stock plastic horn vs the free aluminum one for the horn!
I'm running the stock 17mm hexes with GPM front aluminum knuckles only. Haven't busted the stock rears. I would maintain the original plastic servo saver/servo horn personally. It helps absorb energy with nasty angle impacts. 😎💪👊👊
@@richduperbash2966- thanks for the speedy reply mate! @@FLSharkdiver thanks so much Brother 😊. Just need to clarify on the hub extensions. Remember the Typhon 3s comes with 17mm hexs already. It's the only 3s model that has them. ARRMA designed them to fit a specific axel that's different from the Big Rock, Senton, and Granite 3s. My original mod using the Slash HR 12-17mm (10mm offset) extenders works on those other 3s models. Hot Racing then later released a direct fit option for the Granite that also works on the Senton and BRCC. The only way I've found to widen the Typhon 3s is by using Redcat 17mm hexs. I tried it to run GRP's with no wheel rub and they work. Think I had to drill out the hex pin holes slightly. Make sure to join the Facebook ARRMA 3&4s forum. All this stuff is on there in the search function. 🍻
@@richduperbash2966 Crap!!! So the ones I ordered will not fit correct, only the Redcat 17mm hexs correct? Do you have a link by chance so I can get the correct ones please?
Hi Rich. Enjoying your channel after finding it while looking at Arrma cars. Out of th3 box, would say the Typhon 3s or Senton 3s is better for the kind of driving/ bashing / jumping yo7 do?
Thanks brother 👍!!! I'd say they're both about equal for general bashing 🤔. The Typhon handles better and has way more speed potential with the buggy body. Both are MAD fun and surprisingly durable. The Senton does parachute off of jumps, but is very impressive overall. 😎💪👊👊
Thanks so much Yvan😊!!!! To be fair, my rear A arm was broken 80% of this footage 🤣. I had it zip tied to the rear wingmount support to keep it in position with the hinge pin. Hopefully Arrma and RPM will have arms soon. I had to shoot straight and not get too Crazy for it to stay put....Lol. Don't tell anyone. 😝🤘🤘😎💪👊👊

Rich Duperbash what size are the ones you got. Been looking for them an seem to find only small mm ones. I was told the 3s were 102mm and 115mm. I have been reading a lot on the typhon 6s but of course they are out of stock everywhere. So I’m thinking what you did is the best way to go.

I’m new to this hobby. In fact I just bought a Talion based off watching your videos and bought some of your suggested upgrades. Could you recommend a charger for batteries? I’m having a hard time picking one out. Thanks and bad ass videos.
Thanks so much Bro 👊. Congrats on the Talion 😱!!!! She's the best handling 6s you could get👌. I'm actually in the market for a new charger myself 🤣🤣. Been getting by with a Prophet Duo Sport and an older Sport Plus. I'd recommend looking at a quad charger that can charge at around 10amps per port and has balance storage charge function. I'll let you know what I decide on 🤔🤘🤘😎💪👊👊
Both handle very well, but the Senton has a little more weight to help keep it planted. Neither rig is ideal in rougher terrain. Both are light and will bounce around like a 1/10th normally does. It comes down to tweaks, tuning, and throttle control, but the 6s and heavier rigs do better in choppy rough terrain. 🤗
@@richduperbash2966 thanks man, that's helpful to know. Every time I watch your vids I learn something new that makes me lean another direction. All of the 1/10 Arrma trucks I'm looking at (Granite/Senton/Typhon) seem to be on backorder virtually everywhere, so I'm not pulling the trigger yet, just doing a lot of research. I will most likely run on grass, street and some sand, just want to make sure they'll do pretty well overall in these conditions. The slight tweaks seem to make huge differences and your vids help a lot with understanding what mod helps where. Much appreciated man!
LMAO 😂!!!!! Heck yeah on the Awesome Orange 👌👌. I'm still using 50/50 Simple Green mostly. I forgot you had these on the Berserker🤔. Have you had a piston crap out??? Wondering if it was a fluke. I'm super impressed with the shocks at this price especially. The stock 3s ones have limitations for sure. 🍻🤘🤘😎💪👊👊
What pinion are you running on it. I can’t go up to a 21 or 20 cause the esc starts to act like it’s on lvc mode and it dials down. I have to turn it off and back on and I get another maybe 60 seconds and it doesn’t it again on a fully charged 3s lipo. Would you happen to know why? I’m running the stock 15t pinion.
I'm still running a 20T pinion with original Badlands 2.8 tires glued on older Proline F11 rims. My guess is something is off with your ESC. You can get cogging on takeoffs when your gearing is too tall, but your ESC should only be shutting off if you're hitting thermal (getting too hot). That takes some running around to happen. 🤔
@@richduperbash2966 I thought it was 15T stock? That is what’s on mine. Do I need to go up teeth in order to backflip? It rotates super slow on the 15T and stock tires. I have to get massive air to achieve one slow backflip.
IK I'm late, but start with 2s lipo and DON'T full throttle! you should drive slowly until you feel like you can drive it great. then you can go faster.

Thanks Mark 👊!!!! Great choice with the Typhon 3s 😍. I'm running a 20T Robinson Racing Extra Hard pinion with Hot Racing adjustable motor mount and GPM aluminum steering blocks. My preferred wheels are vented Badlands 2.8's glued on Proline F11 2.8 17mm hex rims. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Man she flys so flat and looks super planted even at the speeds your doing 👍🏻 nice cheap upgrade for the shocks and as much as I love tekno shocks it’s a lot of money to spend! Duper bash as always dude 🤘🏻
Thanks so much Brother 😜!!!! These shocks are the answer so far as I can tell 👌. Love the butter smooth Tekno's, but these are just as tunable with 4mm hardened steel shafts. For 32$ I don't think you can beat them. 🍻😎💪👊👊
My guess is the front bearing crapped out 👀. These rigs need the the slipper box cleaned out routinely. Dirt and silt get trapped and infiltrate the bearings. A good prevention strategy was discussed on the ARRMA 3&4s Facebook Forum. You use a punch Dremel bit to bore a slit in the chassis below the spur to allow all debris to exit just like the 6s rigs. Horizon will warranty your motor. Just email them. 😎💪👊👊
Hey rich between the talions and typhon 6s which do you prefer im looking at getting one or the other i currently have a cen reeper so im not looking for a monster truck but something with a good fun factor and durable i know buggies generally are pretty durable, use to own a nitro buggy never actually broke anything on it other than diff gears over the course of 4 years lol just would like to hear your thoughts! Thanks
Both are great rigs👌. Buggies are always a little tougher being so compact. That said, the V3 Talion takes a great beating with a few aluminum upgrades and fly's and handles brilliantly. It's up to you in the end. The Talion can handle rougher terrain. 🤘🤘😎💪👊👊
Like i said i have a monster truck so terrain i will leave to that haha im torn i do want a buggy again an generally im not a fan of truggies they usually seem kinda unstable specially on like tarmac or a road if you turn i guess im curious how does the talion handle in those conditions? Most of the videos ive watched of yours you are absolutley airing a vehicle out on some dirt jumps haha your videos have led me to the intrest in an arrma rc. I wont do traxxas not because they dont have a good product but when i bought my cen genesis 16 years ago forums were riddle with traxxas fan boys who told me to get rid of it an get a traxxas instead of helping me lol plus arrmas vehicles to me look more appealing to the eye!
@@Havenscoming1 the Talion is more planted than the Typhon in stock form. It's incredibly stable and fast. I'd say it's the best handling Arrma available. Put some original Badlands 3.8s on and it's like driving on rails. I absolutely love my Typhon 6s, but it's "Truggified" with Kraton hexs, axels, and hubs for an inch wider stance. Put MX28s on and it's 2" wider total. For high speed drifting, nothing touches the Talion in my opinion. 🤘🤘
Thought you might say something like that haha i never really looked at the talion untill your videos, so durability wise how does it compare to the typhon and what do break the most often? Im gonna have to see if my local hobby shop carries the talion and parts for it i know they do for the typhon 6s and i would prefer to give them some business so that will also kinda influence my decision ill have to look when i go up there tonight to rip my rc around on thier indoor track tonight lol thanks again Rich!
@@Havenscoming1 I don't typically break parts on either with my Voltage Hobbies upgrades. The chassis will bend with huge airs if you don't fab a tower to tower brace. We're working on an M2C Racing 7075 4mm Talion chassis right now 👊. That will be the final solution 👌

So rich what are you running as far as your electronics and pinion and spur gear
Rich, as usual, your driving skills are pure sorcery. Finally subscribed. Thanks for all your info, I just ordered my Typhon 3S and will be going through all you vids (and any others I can find) for upgrade info! Keep up the killer work, thank you!
Thanks so much Brother and Congrats on the Typhon 3s 😱!!!! She's a little Ripper no doubt. 🍻🤘🤘😎💪👊👊
I get that u run waay bigger rigs on the reg so it's fun to watch u enjoy a 3s Typhon like u do!
The arrma adjustable motor mount part# is AR310898 and its listed at $15.99 so itll be a tad cheaper than the hot racing one.
What is the purpose of this part?
@@ghostmasterpresents the purpose is adjust the spur/pinion mesh at your choice.
I Enjoy My 3s Typhon..No Issues as of Yet,But will look into The Parts U Have Listed..This Buggy Is Mad Fun for 3s..Great Vid..Bash Gang..🤘👑❤
it just snowed like 2 feet where im at in Canada watching you rip on these jumps got me missing summer but it is a lot of fun building huge jumps out of snow great exercise and fun and almost impossible to break things landing in 2 feet of snow
That's friggin AWESOME 😍!!!! Make the most of it no doubt 🍻🤘🤘😎💪👊👊
Another awesome bash Rich, thanks for sharing those upgrades n part numbers, looks like I got some shopping to do
Thanks so much Stevo 👊!!!!
Thanks for the shout out buddy .
You Rock Bro
You bet Bill 👍. Keep doing your thing Brother 🍻🤘🤘😎💪👊👊
Had to round out the wardrobe and get a couple of those T shirt's.. cant go wrong with that kind of RC upgrade ! the Typhon shirt was a must get too.
And I have to admit sadly I was about to give up on my 3s till I watched this. Thanks as always Rich. You da man!
y were u gonna give up
Great driving dude. Man it blows me away what you get from Arrma for $300 these days. That thing is a weapon.
Thanks brother 👊!!!! It blows me away too 😱. Arrma nailed it with these 3s rigs👌. A few mods and tweaks and these rigs are just Killer 🤯🤘🤘😎💪👊👊
Only stumbling across this video now and wow, you can drive brother
Thanks so much Brother 🤗
Thanks for all the cool vids 👊
Peace from Vancouver, Canada.
Snip the nipples 😂

NIce Video man, I am thinking of buying all the upgrade stuff before getting one but it seems like hobbyking does not find the shock SKU or Serial anymore...

@@richduperbash2966 rich I really have to say thank you. I bought my first rc car. A used hpi buggy flux as a grown 33y old man and started to learn and really fell in love with this hobby.
Crushing all terrain with that Typhon! Most impressive sir! Thanks for posting

Thanks so much Eric 👊!!!! Yeah I first saw these Trackstars in Vasco's Outcast vid like a year ago but forgot all about them. Thanks to Alex on the forum 👍 I'm super stoked. Thanks brother 👊!!!! Mighty cool of you 🍻🤘🤘😎💪👊👊
You have any how to clean your rc videos? I know theres tons on YT but I wanted to see your way of doing it. Thnx
@@richduperbash2966 awesome! Thank you!
Great info Rich, can you tell me what replacement shock rod ends you use for the Kraton v3 ?
Thanks brother 👊!!! I use Tekno rod ends (TKR6140B) with either Arrma or Tekno steel pivot balls. Arrma Nero HD rod ends are also beefcake and may actually be stronger. Tekno's have a locking spring perch so you never loose your spring or holder. 🤘🤘😎💪👊👊
do you have a video on your senton 4x4 with all the parts and upgrades you have done ?
Not exactly 🍻. But I'm running all these 3s rigs with the same basic upgrades. 😎💪👊👊
Hey Rich. It has been a year! How this and the 3S senton did??? Any preference between these two? In looking for one for racing with my friends. Awesome video!!

Hey again rick. I know its a old video. But do you know about some aluminum shocks that are complete i can use on my typhon 3s.? Kindly

I just bought a Typhon 3S. First time back in the hobby since it was only brushed motors lol

@@richduperbash2966 Thanks, sometimes it's a little bit difficult to get some parts in germany. Would you suggest using a 20T pinion in the BRCC?
Why not run the 6s shocks for the 3s? and will the 3s driveline handle 4s? and what about using progressive springs? good or bad idea?
Damn!! Shocks are discontinued. I'm a few years late lol. Any other recommendations?
I'm honestly not sure Brother. The ARRMA Forum is a great place to see what others have recommended though. 🍻

@@richduperbash2966 - Where did you get those 2mm Axial spacer from brother?

Rich Duperbash thanks bud 👍🏻
I know they're different, but your opinion Rich on Senton vs Typhon overall? And does one handle better than the other in rough terrain?

Did you change out the pinion or use bigger tires to achieve those flips? Or are they stock?
Still running stock 20T pinion, but put on Badlands 2.8 glued on Proline F11's 2.8 with 17mm hex . 🍻😎💪👊👊
@@richduperbash2966 I thought it was 15T stock? That is what’s on mine. Do I need to go up teeth in order to backflip? It rotates super slow on the 15T and stock tires. I have to get massive air to achieve one slow backflip.
I just ordered this RC for my first ever RC car. Might be to powerful gor me but its ordered.
Any tips or hints on how not to break it day 1?
IK I'm late, but start with 2s lipo and DON'T full throttle! you should drive slowly until you feel like you can drive it great. then you can go faster.
bro same here in Vegas, weather has been crap. Its been windy , cold and rainy.
LMAO😜!!!! Yeah it sucks Brother. It's pissing rain here again since yesterday 🤐. Been a very wet winter so far. Trying to wrench and tune👌. Hope all is well Tee. 🍻🤘🤘😎💪👊👊
Hey rich those gpm steering knuckles do you think they are still worth it? Think i should get hot racing stuff instead? Hope all is well bud
Hey Brother 😁. The GPM knuckles have been flawless for me. Still running them on all my 3s rigs. Seemed the HR ones had a fitment issue from what I heard. 🍻😎💪👊👊
@@richduperbash2966 awesome a huge help going to try to order some soon. Thanks for the help and quick response
@@richduperbash2966 you don't possibly have a link? Or something to be sure i don't get ripped off?
@@sMoKeN904 I'll send you the link. Only catch is they take about 10 days or so to recieve (to the US anyways) cuz they ship from China. 👍 www.gpmparts.com/arrma-granite-4x4-mega-monster-truck-aluminum-front-knuckle-arms-8pc-set-gpm-mag021-p-11240.html
@@richduperbash2966 thank you very much gonna order one soon. Need to order some shocks aswell just can't decide. I had the stock ones for like 8 months bashing hard so I bought some replacement from Jenny an one of them already broke so trying to find a good replacement was thinking about the proline shocks
thanks Rich for the great tips, love that rig !!!!😍😍
Thanks so much Stephane 😊!!!! This Typhon 3s has quickly become a favorite 😍🍻🤘🤘😎💪👊👊
If you had to pick either the Typhon 3s or the Big Rock 3s, which would you choose?
Damn.....tough question. Both are pretty awesome. The BR stands too narrow in stock form, but with HR extenders it's BADASS. I honestly couldn't pick a favorite. 😎💪👊👊
Awesome bash session this rig rips out their thanks for the part #$ bash on bro
Thanks Simon 👊!!!! Happy bashing 🍻🤘🤘😎💪👊👊
Me being new into the hobby : WOW that thing really flies man! Great video. I need to get me one of these. Is the speed of this rig just 3S out of the box? It does blast
Thank you Brother 👊. I'm not sure how fast she is out of the box with stock gearing, but pretty quick. Super fun and durable platform 😍
Are the front and rear Trackstar shocks in this video the same length/size? I can only see one size (90mm) on Hobbyking's site.
Click on the front and rear shock links I put in the pinned comment Nigel 👍. Rears are longer. 😎💪👊👊
Rich, Do the Typhon 6s shocks fit on the 3s BLX?
awesome bashing , the typhon was in the air flying more than it was on the ground lol
Hey, Rich, bad ass video as usual with plenty of insight. Do you have the part number for those HR adaptors? I'm having an issue finding them.
Thanks so much Brother 👊. The trick to finding HR parts is Google Hot Racing Arrma. If you put anything else/more you'll get lost with a crap ton of parts you're not looking for 😝😝😝. hot-racing.com/?partnumber=ATF117XT02;c=1385
👊💪
I heard the back wheels fall of these all the time is it true ???😅
Definitely not true. Just have to secure your nuts 😂
I have a question for you I am between 3 RC cars right now the hpi savage xs flux, Losi tendency mt, and a used traxxas slash 4x4 vxl, which would you recommend
I'd lean towards the HPI from everything I've seen and heard. The Tenacity and Slash both run hot with stock electronics. 🍻😎💪👊👊
@@richduperbash2966 thanks
Hey man - great video. I just picked up a Typhon 3x today. Other than the shocks is yours stock? Also, what gears are you running. Thanks
Hell you can drive!!!!!! That 3S is a rocket! Was it running on 3S? Great videos 👍🏻
Thanks Brother 🤗. She's super quick with a 20T pinion. That was all on 3s. Really appreciate it!!!🍻😎💪👊👊
Just broke my motor in my arrma typhon 3s blx 😞😥
My guess is the front bearing crapped out 👀. These rigs need the the slipper box cleaned out routinely. Dirt and silt get trapped and infiltrate the bearings. A good prevention strategy was discussed on the ARRMA 3&4s Facebook Forum. You use a punch Dremel bit to bore a slit in the chassis below the spur to allow all debris to exit just like the 6s rigs. Horizon will warranty your motor. Just email them. 😎💪👊👊
@@richduperbash2966 got mine off amazon bro 😞 you think they'll send me a new one
@@connarmarsh9060 I'd think so. They typically warranty for 2 years and the rig hasn't been out that long. 👍
@@richduperbash2966 alright I'll try that then, thx man love the vids✌
@@connarmarsh9060 thanks Bro 👍. Good luck with it 🍻
Hey rich between the talions and typhon 6s which do you prefer im looking at getting one or the other i currently have a cen reeper so im not looking for a monster truck but something with a good fun factor and durable i know buggies generally are pretty durable, use to own a nitro buggy never actually broke anything on it other than diff gears over the course of 4 years lol just would like to hear your thoughts!
Sick! I hear ya, cali weather has it raining all week here! Can't wait to smash the new typhon!😁
Thanks brother 👊!!!! Yeah it's rough when you're itching to bash😝. Our state badly needs it, but it puts a crimp on outdoor fun time for sure. 🤘🤘😎💪👊👊
Very nice!.Great deal even with buying extra pistons
Thanks brother 👍!!!! Definitely a solid price for quality shocks👌. With softer springs they work great. 🤘🤘😎💪👊👊
@@richduperbash2966 I may have to pick some up
How did you manage to drive that at rush park. There’s usually like a ton of kids there
I've bashed there lightly a few times 👊. Usually packed like you're saying. I'll run for maybe 3 minutes max if the kids are sparse. Only there cuz my daughter rides the park. Granite and Tanzanite are more my style but I'm equal opportunity for sure. 🍻🤘🤘😎💪👊👊
Sweet update rich 😎😎😎, shocks looking good🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 , I hate the metal cross things that go on the pistons, had them on my bsr shocks , I found they would move and restrict flow , possibly contributing to blowing the pistons out , I got rid of them and no issues since , great to see the arrma pistons fit 😎😎👊👊👊👊👊
Sweeet bash footage to brother , it's been to long 😅😅😅😅 I love my Mr D sendy vids 😎😎😎👊👊👊👊🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

@@RcA_Rc thanks so much Matt 😜!!!! This little Typhon is so agile and quick, just a Demon geared up with the buggy wheels 😱😍😍😍. Never expected to fall for these 3s rigs🤘🤘. They're so different from driving 6s, but easily as FUN🤩. Stoked about this 35$ shock upgrade 👌. The pistons seem too thin for harder bashing and that metal piece is probably a valve attempt I'm guessing to slow rebound 🤔. The Outcast is feeling Beastly with the beefcake M2C chassis and motor mount😲🤯🤯. I realized today after a SEND It attempt #2 that it was my bloody Savox 1230 causing brownouts 💩. Running smooth after plopping the 1210sg in off my Tekno😝😝😝😝😝. I was running a glitch buster, but think gearing up may have increased the draw🤔.
