Is it possible to save a tooth with extensive decay?

- In cases of severe destruction either due to dental caries or fracture, the tooth can be saved by performing root canal treatment (RCT) and ending with a direct restoration with Composite Resin, an Inlay or Porcelain Crown.
In order to know if a tooth in this state can be saved, you should go to the dentist, preferably a specialist in Endodontics and later a specialist in Oral Rehabilitation.
These videos are to raise awareness among the population about possible solutions that dentists can offer to save teeth, since currently the first option is no longer Extraction.

Any spaces unfilled become a site for future infections with micro abscess causing final root failure .

Isnt that what they call bonding a tooth? Not really a good idea for back jaw teeth since they can crack and break I would think..an actual crown would be better..but very nice work..I think bonding is actually alot cheaper too but it stains and will need maintenance more often...but good work❤

El martes que viene voy a ir al dentista porque una muela está por la mitad parecido como en el vídeo, pero solo me a dolido en contadas ocasiones, unas hace ya un tiempo y una vez hace pocos días, en esos casos aún seria solo una cita o tendría que hacer una endodoncia?

Una cosa es que lo hagan en moldes de práctica como estos y otra es que lo hagan en un paciente real y también es dependiendo el daño dentro del diente muchas veces por más que se le busque y se le haga no hay manera de salvar el diente por eso se termina en extracción o endodoncia

My premolar have the same case, currently i’m undergoing RCT and half of my tooth dissapear, same with your video, I wonder if I need fiber post and crown since it will be very expensive 😅
Honestly, it is better that you invest in a post and crown if your dentist suggests this, since you will avoid fracturing your tooth in the future.
