Hey Vince! What kind of laptop are you using! I am currently using a Gigabyte with a 3050 RTX but Premiere Pro lags when I started using my new Sony A7III in 4k

​@@cleo.creator Try converting the 4k footage into low-resolution uncompressed proxy files (it can take a bit, so do it like when you're having lunch or something). Otherwise, your computer has to uncompress your 4k h265/h264 codec in real time. Of course, when you export, all your cuts and edits will be applied to the original 4k footage so you're using the dummy footage just to make the playback super smooth. If you're editing an already uncompressed format the issue might be something else, like the speed and organization of your SSD drives. I hope this helps.
