Everyone really needs to stop complaining about the cook using hands to crumble the lumps of rice. Please! They are at home cooking not your food but their own for educating you. What cook doesn't use their hands anyway! To the cook, thank you for taking your time to show us how to make this. Can't wait to try!!
I just came here to watch someone cook authentic Chinese fried rice. Instead I find myself embroiled in reading the comments section. Reading people cussing each other out over why someone does or doesn't like peas. Reading how one guy questions the "authenticity" of this particular method of cooking fried rice because the cook added peas and carrots. Reading people wonder aloud if the cook said adobe, agobi, agave, or what? Laughing at English renderings of Chinese accented English words. What is it about youtube that a video of someone cooking fried rice creates such an array of hilariously useless, vulgar, comically insulting and insipid comments?
+slx lohocla The TH-cam comment section is a place where millions of people around the World vent, insult, convince, and bash other commentators (people they do not know, and probably never will). For those who may not have experienced the World yet, but spent sometime on the internet, we apologize for the negative behavior you see across internet. The rest, if not the majority, of humanity is pretty decent. Lol
1,000 thanks for not giving a 3 minute introduction. i’ve never been sure why so many uploaders feel like they have to tell you what they’re about to do when it’s already been said right in the title.
Hahahahaha...I thought the same thing. So loud hard to understand her. I was thrilled to know I make my rice correctly except...never used Agavi...thats interesting.
My family and I lived on the beautiful island of Guam for a total of 5 years, and we all love Asian cuisine. The fiestas we were invited to contributed to some of our best island memories. I love hearing Mrs. Ming talk us through her recipe - it brought back even more memories, like our Filipina friend Christy, who taught me how to cook pancit bijon. Fried rice is a personal dish, and very flexible. No 2 people cook it the same. Thank you Ms. Ming! You're awesome!!
I was looking for a fried rice vid and found this. I have used this recipe many times. Now this is my go to method for fried rice and everyone that tries it loves it! Thank you for this.
everyone has a different way of making it n as long as the result u are looking for is achieved, it's all good. i used to work at the chang hing inn of brooklyn, illinois years ago, but it's gone now. rice was prepared in huge rice cooker all throughout the day and used the same day but would be separated. the rice on top towards the middle, like the rice used in this video, was primarily used for frying because all moisture dries out n can instantly apply oil. the rice closer to the bottom would cook with more moisture n would be used for dishes like egg foo young, pork n rice, beef n rice...so on. so, if u can hold out for your fried rice, this technique is awesome. but if you're like me n need your f"fix" now, then go get it!lol great video!!!
This recipe is EXCELLENT! That is all I have to say :) Anyhow, just a little tip, and for ANYONE ELSE who decides to make a video for fried rice, not complaining, but the pre-cooking the rice part, in my opinion, is one of the most valuable pieces of information for fried rice.
Iam not one to leave comments, however when I came across this video for an easy/quick recipe, I see and hear of an indivdual lending information for seekers such as myself. I am highly entertained and amused of the comments rather than the information given on the video. Miss Ming kitchen did not share her insights for a score, i believe she done this video only to give/share advice to help others. Do haters, as they are called nowdays, really spend their time searching for anything to release their anger onto others? WOW that is unbelievable. Thanks for the vid, I'll give a try. Seems like good ole homemade cooking method, Good luck to all...
I love how you can see how all people around the world cook various types of food in their own kitchens. Thanks so much to youtube, otherwise this would never happen!! I plan to travel all around the world trying exotic foods and sharing my own foods! i love this place!
I love mingskitchen & I love the fried rice.... This has been a staple in my home for many years. I love her voice, her instructions, all the sounds that I also have in my kitchen!

onlyoldnavy There's no mention of color. Its just People being shitty. Regardless of race. I think You singling out an entire Race makes You hateful. And No, I'm not even 'White'. I'm Mexican.
Not gonna lie I could probably eat myself to death with this stuff, there's always room for a little more fried rice. And yea yea I know its not good for me, it's unhealthy, you only live once, enjoy life to the fullest, now time to get me some fried rice!
Thanks for the video, I made some.. it didn't taste as good but I still ate it. looking forward to learn how to properly do the traditional chinese fried rice.
Shows in the description " This video shows you how quick and easy it is to make a delicious fried rice dish, authentic Chinese style! You will love the taste of this fried rice! Ingredients include shrimp, beef, egg, and mixed vegetables. I used light soy sauce, small amount dark soy sauce, Agave, salt & white pepper."
If your still wondering the second liquid she used was blue agave sweeter I buy it all the time, it's low glycemic so it won't spike our insulin and its tasty. I use it for many different things its basically a sugar replacement. Use it whenever you need a nice kick of sweetness without the damaging effects of sugar/splenda
Miriam Sokora You're not supposed to leave food out overnight according to some person in the comments. It sound right. I wouldn't leave my food out and eat it.
josue rojas Many people including myself leave rice out. When you cook white rice if you put it in the fridge it gets all hard so we just leave ours in the pot. Tons of people do this and we learned it from a friend in Thailand.
You do understand what happens when you leave water and rice alone together, right Miriam? Why do you think it is, when you steam or boil rice, all the water disappears? It absorbs it.
I got kinda hard as well. Are we normal, I wonder? Or are we just hungry? BTW, I've heard that peanuts are great in this stuff. Does this make me appear even more hindered in the public eye? I am so ashamed! lol! I don't care, I like what I like! I'm a certified fruit cake :)
Im african american. Im sure this video is directed to people other than Asian decent. This video is easy and basic for us. Not everyone has a wok. Please don't bash her efforts. Okay if this is not Authentic, okay well she meant well. Thank you Ms Ming for sharing I appreciate it : )

Yes, but she is giving an option to have something from home to taste like what we consider good take out. What's the difference anyway? Either a wok or frying pan, might taste a bit different but what ever.
I just made this and it is So Bombs!! So delicious and I used up my day old rice and left over pork. Fried up some chopped bacon. Cooked some onion and garlic in bacon fat. And topped with green onion cause I had no frozen veggies.
That pan is destined for greatness.

You know this lady is serious when she pulls out that industrial size bottle of soy sauce...
+Karuk Rhys nah I only have the little soy packets from whenever I get take out
+Jek Tono Porkins you call that industrial. You haven't seen the home depot bucket.
+Matthew Louie lol, I know, right? Where's the large tin container that looks like it should be holding gasoline or something?
+Max McIntosh you must eat well.
Matthew Louie
Huh, why is that? Granted, I do eat well when I cook for myself, but I am curious as to how to came to your presumption.

Sarah E Hi sorry to bug you. What's Agave ? never heard of it
Daniel Maranzana Its like the syrup from an Agave plant. Agave is also used in tequila...
I Made the Best Fried Rice tonight thanks to you.........
15 minutes fry rise
If your still wondering the second liquid she used was blue agave sweeter I buy it all the time, it's low glycemic so it won't spike our insulin and its tasty. I use it for many different things its basically a sugar replacement. Use it whenever you need a nice kick of sweetness without the damaging effects of sugar/splenda
I think she said DARK soy sauce, and the first sauce she put in was LIGHT soy sauce
ROB HEC what brand
Eating mine right now! Delicious!
2019 anyone???
Making this tomorrow! It's going to be on and popping!
If I don't have dark soy sauce can I just use light? Also do you put the rice in the fridge or just leave it out? Can you use freshly cooked rice?
Miriam Sokora You're not supposed to leave food out overnight according to some person in the comments. It sound right. I wouldn't leave my food out and eat it.
josue rojas Many people including myself leave rice out. When you cook white rice if you put it in the fridge it gets all hard so we just leave ours in the pot. Tons of people do this and we learned it from a friend in Thailand.
Miriam Sokora leaving it out in a pot with water is different than leaving it out as if you were going to eat it
josue rojas The pot doesn't have water in it just the cooked rice.
You do understand what happens when you leave water and rice alone together, right Miriam? Why do you think it is, when you steam or boil rice, all the water disappears? It absorbs it.
Awesome simple recipe! I made mine with chicken and leftover vegetables that needed to be used up. Thanks!
What was the last sauce she pulled out of the cabinet? ?
dark Soy Sauce
Michael Lacy Thanks!
Light soy sauce and dark soy sauce use both
Thanks so much! my Cooking teacher wants me to make this tomorrow at least now i have a better understanding! thanks again!

Never before in my life have I heard of white pepper
Turkeyrolls it is basically peeled black pepper
I use white pepper when I make homemade mayo so it doesn't look like a fly shit in it. :)
Turkeyrolls Have you been cooking long? No offence intended.
Yeah I love cooking, I use black pepper in almost everything.
Chinese use white pepper in everything. They don't like black specs in their food.
Im african american. Im sure this video is directed to people other than Asian decent. This video is easy and basic for us. Not everyone has a wok. Please don't bash her efforts. Okay if this is not Authentic, okay well she meant well. Thank you Ms Ming for sharing I appreciate it : )
What's with the background noise???...as if someone was vacuuming!!! I couldn't make out what 3 of the bottled ingredients were!!
It's the fan, that way the smoke doesn't flood the house, that would activate the fire alarm!
Thank you for this video! I can't wait to make it! You made it so simple and easy to understand! Thank you again!
I would eat that, it looks good except it has peas in it 😩
You cant even taste them, grow up
Rolland Hall Apparently I fucking can or I wouldn't mind it, get the fuck out of my replies.
Just because your old ass taste buds are losing their ability to taste doesn't mean I can't taste them.
Andrea Travis damn what kind of tragic even happened to make you so hostile over peas kid, and how would you know if you're too much of a baby to eat it?
Rolland Hall Nothing tragic. I'm not getting hostile over peas, I just got an attitude because your irrelevant ass telling me to grow up because I don't like a certain food. I don't have to like peas? Df?

Quick and easy, thumbs up from me!
You don' really "fry" the rice. All your doing is heating everything up in the frypan. Its the sauces that brown the rice by coloring it. Just mix everything up in a big sauce pan for gods sake.
Yes, but she is giving an option to have something from home to taste like what we consider good take out. What's the difference anyway? Either a wok or frying pan, might taste a bit different but what ever.
