Yes Robert, BT-Moto sent me the update file Monday morning after I sent my data to them around noon on Saturday. I will be going back to Cruiseman's this Saturday to actually flash the ECU with this new file. Hopefully all will go well. I will let everyone know my thoughts about the results.
Got the tune, got it on the Bata time. Sometimes I feel this bike pulls hard and sometime I feel it doesn't. But that's just me Overall, with the speed limiter removed and the rpm limiter increased, I'm happy with it.
To each his own, and please don’t trash me, but I find my bike FANTASTIC the way it is….I wouldn’t waste my money….but good luck getting it working properly….ride safe
Well-It is great that your ECU Flash team continues to take the necessary time to work through all protocols. And, your sharing of all this information helps a tremendous number of enthusiasts decide if they would like to perform or have it done for them (Traxxion Dynamics). Good stuff, Tom!
Hi Mark, thanks for watching! I received the tune file from BT-Moto yesterday, less than 48 hours after uploading my data to them on a Saturday. I am just waiting to go back to Cruiseman's Garage this next Saturday to do the final install. More to come.
First thank you for the special Bible verses at the beginning. It sets good ethos. Special thanks you to both of you. Without either one of you none of this would be possible. Knowledge is power. You are getting there Tom. Hallelujah!
what a process...cant believe its so complicated...no other vehicle is like this, normally its plug in the tuner, it will download your stock tune onto the device and then you select what tune you want to upgrade too... the upgraded tune is ALREADY on the device! Can't believe its the same process for Honda cars so why is the GW this way?
I am afraid that you are asking the wrong person about why it is this way. That is far above my pay grade. I agree that it is a bit more complicated than you might expect. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I think it's due to different P/N ECUs being installed into the different model Goldwings for 2018-2024. You also have to consider ECU updates from the dealer for recalls, upgrades, etc, not to mention ECU updates an owner may have installed or had installed by another tune shop. Please note, this process is not just the Goldwing, it's basically the same for all motorcycles that BT-Moto have on their working list. All the Best.
@@jameshales6958 that maybe the case, but when I did a power tune update on my Mustang it was a simple case of plugging the tuner in and it copied the stock tune onto the device and then asked me what tune I wanted to install, which was already on the tuner.... Why a GW ECU is any different to any other vehicles...adding a tune to a Harley is the same process as it was for my Mustang!
Not sure why they can’t just provide a tune based on your bikes vin# in the package they send initially. All the US bikes should be mechanically the same, so the tune should be the same you would think…
Hello Tom, so was the download fix holding the ignition switch to off position rather than momentary? Sorry, I could not give you update my end as I’m still waiting for my package from Traxxion Dynamics. They were hoping to have a new shipment in yesterday. Hopefully, I will receive it sometime this week. All the Best, James.
@@jameshales6958 Hi James, the fix was that BT Moto sent out a new device. Holding the ignition switch in the off position is part of the next step which is uploading the new file to my ECU. Thanks for watching.

@@tom81773 Hello Tom, I received my account approval this morning (07/31). Original ECU data and questionnaire uploaded and sent to BT-Moto. Now standing by for BT-Moto Flash file.
All great information Tom. We are taking notes from the Pro's as you guys figure this out. Great work.
Stay tuned, I currently plan to perform the last step this next Saturday morning with Cruiseman.
Tom, I heard the file came back so all that's left now is loading it. I will be keen on hearing the improvements it has made !!

You should adjust the gains on your microphone in your helmet. Mic levels too high?
Thank you for your comment. I should have been able to fix this in post but I am still learning. I hope to do better in the future.

I guess it’s down to personal choice. I’m glad your happy with your tuner for your Mustang and Harley.
