Literally the only helpful advice on the internet. Heads up I have this exact laptop but with Windows 10 and i ended up using the F12 button and it took me right to the recovery page.
I got it to work and it helped. The only thing I did differently was hit the F12 key and run the system diagnostic. From there, I followed your suggestions. BTW, I have a Dell Latitude XT2

I have two Dell Latitude 3480 computer in our lab today. Both had passwords that the people don't need and want to restore them to 'out of the box' factory settings. I plugged one in and watched your video about 3 times. I powered it on, immediately tapped the F8 button until I was blue in the face. Each time it took me to the Windows 10 screen which you put the password in. This computer does not have a CD ROM drive. It seems the new ones don't. I shut the computer down about 24 times, waited a few seconds and power it up tapping the F8 button and got the same results. I don't know if there is something in the BIOS that over writing this feature or what? Any suggestions.....

This didn't work for me this Dell Inspiron red foldable tablet stays on the hi there screen I've done everything you told me to do but it still goes back to the hi there screen even after clearing everything out waiting for 2 hours goes back to the same screen I've troubleshooted it to check and see if there's any problems it says no problems with this computer or tablet never did a backup on it my daughter took it upon herself to do a factory reset and that's where we're at with this problem. Is there another solution fixing this?

When your hard drive fails and you have no backup use another PC and head to the Dell website. Once there download their recovery USB bootable drive software enter your service tag number and it builds your system. Plug the bootable USB drive into your PC with the new hard drive and follow instructions it takes a very long time but it restores everything back to factory. Must be connected to the internet so you will need a cable.

Guys just hold the shift key when the computer is open to the log in and press on the restart button while you’re holding down shift and it’ll take you to that screen
Hi--I have the Dell Latitude 2120 that came with Windows 7 Home Premium. I did the Microsoft upgrade to Windows 10. The 2120 is 32 Bit and the Windows 10 is 64bit. The 2120 is having a horrible time working properly with the Windows 10 Operating system--especially when watching a TH-cam video or any video--the video is all broken up and the sound is terrible and out of sync. The windows 10 upgrade just won't work correctly on the 2120. I want to go back to the Windows 7 system!! I have had the upgrade for more than 30 days so I can't restore back to windows 7 easily. Can you help. I know I can't get back all my files from my Windows 7 program but I simply want to get rid of Windows 10 and reinstall a new windows 7 system. Can you help. Thank you, Joseph

use your Android phone with some space in it download firmware for password reset also download Windows 8 Upgrade with what do USB cable in place debugging set sit on P2P and then let the computer recognize it get the drivers on there and let the computer download then restart the process of much as she to download f2f a few times and you go from there and it works very easy you don't even need a disk you just use your phone tell me it's very easy good luck to you this will work
