The LG V60 is still a beast. I'm still rocking a 2019 phone as a daily driver. As you call them, "The oldies but goodies" still perform well enough for me.
The V60 is the longest phone I've ever had. But with all the software updates, I've noticed its a tad wonky at times. Im upgrading this year and hopefully HTC announces something soon because I don't want to go back to Samsung.
This is my 2nd LG V60 and you know why I chose to buy it again? Things like this: You're always learning something new you can do with it. I didn't knew Screen+ could be used wirelessly 😮
Yeah I didn't realize it could be used wirelessly. I don't really use wireless desktop modes but it's interesting to know. I usually stick with the cable just to keep the latency low
@@danieliacomi the sound is perfectly reproduced, but I have wired headphones with metal cups to the phone so that the sound resonates there. Sony 650 headphones are simple . I like the sound, although I've stopped listening lately. I haven't tried the second screen, and it wasn't interesting to be honest. The phone is really outdated, but to this day it opens applications smartly, namely v50s! There is also a G8x with 6 gigabytes of RAM , I think it will be weaker, although with such optimization as lg's everything will work well ! I would advise you to take the pixel 6, it will be a newer smartphone. If you want jeck 3.5 and a good video recording with stabilization , then lg will go ! But already the smartphone has a lot of jambs, I have my own and I have closed my eyes to them, someone else has others, yet they overlap with the expert himself, which gives the phone
Something new: If you have the "Projecting to this PC" enabled on Windows 10/11, you can also use Screen+ on your PC. However, on Windows 11 I don't how to enable the inputs to not use the phone, and instead, use my PC's keyboard and mouse (yet) Edit: You can use the keyboard from your computer, but still can't use the mouse unless you use a wireless mouse connected to your phone (or wired as well, but wasn't wireless the point?). It's a bug that won't allow you to change that particular setting on Windows 11.
Thank you! This is awsome! I just checked my LG G8 (TMobile) and it can also do wireless desktop mode, but I can't find a way to use my phone's screen as a clicker. Any thoughts, or it is only works on V60? Thank you!
I tried this with my LG Wing but it just did screen mirroring. But that was with the Chromecast when I did it with the Fire TV Miracast setting, it gave me the option to click to start screen Plus. I have to say I thought I knew everything there was to know about this phone and you taught me something today. I didn't even have to fiddle with developer mode settings although maybe that's because I had done it in the past
Yeah for some reason on the LG Wing you do not have to click Force desktop, it just gives you a notification and you can click on it to go from screen plus to screen mirroring. The only downside is I can't seem to get the touchpad to work. On the wing it's desktop mode you normally have to open the swivel mode and use the cursor on the bottom screen. Doesn't seem to work wirelessly so that's a bummer but I have a V60 as well so I can always use that. I guess I'll experiment with my g8x just out of curiosity to see if that also supports this
I absolutely love my v60 apart from a battery drain issue which has killed my battery life after I updated to android 13 I only just discovered this feature so I searched and came here I knew that screen sharing existed, I just didnt know that screen sharing plus existed (Or DEX for those of tou femiliar with samsung flagships)
@@TheTechPreacher thank you also if you don't mind me asking is there any difference with the updates between a Verizon or factory unlocked model? Right now I have a Verizon branded but unlocked model and it has a lot of bloatware I was wondering if it's better to get one that is factory unlocked
Until now, I still use LG V60, I don't need new cell phones now because it has what I need, it can be dual screen, it can be gaming and it has a game pad and I made it my game station and comics and books to read can be installed
Um samsung DeX menos evoluido criado pela LG? Muito interessante, creio que o futuro é exatamente este, poder rodar qualquer coisa sejá de windows ou dispositivos moveis em um unico dispositivo que pode estar no seu bolso. A even evolved Samsung DeX created by LG? Very interesting, I believe that the future is exactly this, being able to run anything from Windows or mobile devices on a single device that can be in your pocket.
Fyi: I tested this on the G8X as well and it works. I didn't have to use force desktop mode I just got a notification giving me the option of switching the screen plus. Didn't seen option for a cursor though. And while I had the dual screen case on, I couldn't use the dual screen while I was screen sharing. Still I would guess that probably every LG flagship that got Android 12 can probably do this. Probably be worth testing with the v50 or the G8 or something but I don't actually have that
i know this video isnt about this but i was trying to use the xreal glasses and i got that little screen plus in my glasses any idea how to get rid of it? i just want to mirror my phone to my glasses, am i missing something to do with the settings i've been trying few things but no luck 😬 thanks a lot..

Yeah for what it's worth I was able to get wireless desktop mode to work on my LG Wing. It only work with Miracast and you didn't need to go to developer settings or force desktop mode. The only downside was there was no way to get the mouse cursor working. With the wired desktop mode you can use the mouse cursor on the bottom screen but I couldn't get it to work with wireless. I suspect it was an after that because they don't actually have a notification the way the v60 does to cue the cursor. I'm going to test out the G8X as well
You're not supposed to, but its certainly possible. Might involve cutting a hole in the back glass to accommodate its size, and probably a bit of soldering.
@@TheTechPreacher I hope the next update for the Wing will bring Touchpad mode. When using Screen+ from the Wing, the built-in secondary screen won't function. Outside of Screen+, that particular screen can be used as touchpad.
