I make $106k, single with no children. I claim 0 and still owe taxes at the end of the year and I bring home $5600 a month after taxes. It’s not doable without two incomes.
THAT IS HOW THEY ALL COME TO OUR COUNTRY. THEY DON'T LIKE US, YET THEY COME FOR THE CONVENIENCE AND TO BECOME RICH WHILE THEY CONTINUE TO DESTROY UKRAINE AND ITS PEOPLE.
After doing some quick arithmetic (based upon an average one bedroom apartment in Toronto costing say $2,500 a month plus utilities) it seems as a single woman living alone, I would apparently have to be earning a minimum of $100,000 a year to be considered for an equivalent rental price in New York (or have a willing cosigner earning $200,000 per year.) Are there actually that many people earning that kind of wage in the U.S.? I would be hard-pressed to think of many people I know of, including a number of sole practitioner lawyers, or retirees no longer earning traditional salaries, who could claim that level of income,. Surely there must be many people in New York who are employed in service Industries, middle management office jobs, and startup professional offices and would basically be screwed by this formula. Your information definitely conforms with a number of other sources, so I am left genuinely confused about where modest income, single people live if they work in New York City.
Most of the single people live with roommates or they live in Queence/Brooklyn/ Jersey City. Also, it is possible to apply for a housing lottery and you will get 1bedroom in Manhattan for 800$/mo
They all are so stunning and new. Williamsburg would be my favorite with the water view
Thank you! Agree, one of my fav as well☺️
Love the selection of the apartments and the views ! 😍 I wish I moved back there again !
Thank you very much! NYC misses you!💔
A BIG advantage to downtown Brooklyn is walking distance to Wegmans -- best grocery chain in America according to Consumer Reports.
Good to know! Thanks!:)
1:14 the Google Maps tip alone was worth watching this video for! I’ve never seen that in any other apartment hunting video
I mean 100k annual gets you around 7k monthly net. Seeing most of them around 5k, how can one expect to live alone when making 100k?
Unfortunately, yes. It’s NYC. That’s why LIC & Brooklyn are better options

I hear you. It’s definitely easier for family of 2
Make a few sort shopping trips, and then a long one.
Yo estoy de acuerdo con todo eso...hace sentido...
Hello! How did you move from Moscow to USA? Did you study there or did you find a job? Thank you!
I came as a tourist, fell in love, got married:)

They come for the convevinience and to become rich. Their country is putting everybody at risk fir a world war.
I apologize about what I said. I take it back. You have nothing to do with that. Welcome to New York City.
