Like Joe Perry once said: “those songs are your babies…and people come in to cut and maim and ultimately take them away from you….and it hurts.” I heard that in some interview years back and never forgotten that statement. I’m sure Luk can relate to it. Thanks Kenny for netting Luk and dragging him in for the hang. It’s always interesting with Luk in the room.
Yes it is alway interesting and fun with Luke in the room.. I love that guy.
A very seasoned guy who’s been through just about all you can think of, and came out the other side to tell the story - and some to be forgotten about. That’s all of us though...we all have secrets! Love your channel brother. How I wish Hal Blaine was still around so you could coax some stories out of him!
@@luvbasses5487 Thanks so much.. Oh man. I wish Hal Blaine was around. I would have loved to have him on my show.
i put my sunglasses on to watch this...i didn't feel nearly as cool, but it was still great to watch!
lol.... you probably are cooler than us..
This is the best, Steve cracks me up. you two here are awesome.
lol I know Steve cracks me up also. : ) Thank You
I love these guys. Great musicians and hard working guys!
Thanks Rick
The Gospel according to Luke is such a great account of music history... and so entertaining... so many stories for the ages
I love how they're both wearing sunglasses indoors...two of my favorites.
Thanks for checking out my podcast
Wow, Steve explaining how the magic happens and the artist is moved almost to tears by the session team's creativity and effort really lays down the essence of what goes on in the studio. Thank you, Steve and Kenny!
Thanks for your comments and checking out my podcast.
Two legends and personal musical inspirations, really glad I stumbled onto this today!
good he was there to correct you. His Toto work is more than enough for anyone with 2 working ears needs to know. As a drummer, I know you already, Kenny. Love hearing two legit vets of EVERYTHING get together and have a good session. Thanks guys! Luvin ur music for over 30 years. Like Eddie VH said, late in life...."Keep playin....you gotta keep playin...or I'm gonna find you."
James thanks for your comments.. : )
Love it KA, you the man for bringing Steve in. At 56 I’ve been drumming to all his stuff For a very long time, including Toto for so many years learned so much and from you as well. 🤘
Thanks dude..I love Steve.
Absolutely loved this - made me smile listening to all the shared stories. Fabulous careers - Kenny hit the nail on the head in his intro. Not only good players but team players with great attitudes.

Stellar interview Kenny, thanks man ! My fav guitar player & fav drummer all in one interview . Read his book & loved it . Yours is next ! If anyone has never seen him play Little Wing at the Les Paul tribute concert when he’s playing his 59’ burst I highly recommend they watch it and turn it up loud, it’s truly amazing. Rock on 🤘!
Thanks Scott.. Need to read his book also.

I wear sun glasses to bed at night, LOL
@@KennyAronoffOfficial Apparently ELVIS wore them in bed at Graceland ,,,In the shower & latrine...In the kitchen doing the vegetables...lol....Elvis liked to keep his cool even in his domestic life....He was so amazingly cool that you could keep FROZEN PEAS in him for a MONTH.....Elvis was so HIP he had difficulty seeing over his PELVIS....lol
Two of my most favourite musicians on the planet just chewing the fat. Could listen to it for hours. Hadn’t realised you’d started this Kenny, then this popped up because I’m always looking for Luke vids. Bloody great. Satch tour was unbelievable- front row in Manchester so great to see you up close after so many years
Thanks for your comments. Glad you like my pod cast and cool you saw the Satch concert in Manchester..
@@KennyAronoffOfficial Thanks for what you do Kenny. All the best, Karl
@@Elshonio Thanks fir your message Karl..
We are both wearing sunglasses and we like to think that makes us look very cool.
Great interview. Kenny you are super cool! Love your style and rhythmic groove in this interview!
Thanks so much Mark.. : )
I think it would of been easier, to name the artist that Luk didn't play on,I love listening to his story's, he's rock royalty to me, he's like, I'm not working,I'm just playing the guitar, that's the kind of guy he is,nothing like growing old with your hero's,I've followed him for years, great interview.
Thanks for checking out my podcast.
One of my favorite musicians! ❤
Yessss .. I agree
oh man. two of the most decorated session musicians talking. yay.
Great interview! Kenny I grew up skiing at Butternut (I grew up about 30 miles south of there...).
wow. Butternut Basin.. lol I skied there 5 to 7 days a week. I love that place.
@@KennyAronoffOfficial I grew up in the land of Joe and Jeff Porcaro, Emil Richards, Al Lepak and Rich Lepore (obligatory drummer reference)....
