"we don't want to be worshiped like goddesses, we just want to be respected as people or better yet we just want to be left alone."

I believe there should be a basic level of mutual respect between humans and then you can decide based on their actions if you want to give them more respect or leave them alone, don't want to do anything with them. Idk what have women done to not "earn" even a basic level of respect and if you don't respect us read that sentence again there's this part "better yet we just want to be left alone."

@@JdjdBrhr so according to your logic you men haven't earned even 0.0000000000000000000000001% of respect... Rather actually you men force women to respect...it's not a choice for women

It’s absurd how society operates in a way that still suppresses women, usually under male-dominated structures. But the moment a crime against women gets attention, suddenly everyone floods social media with images of goddesses, praising and idealizing women, as if that somehow undoes all the everyday inequalities women are forced to navigate. Let’s be real using deities as symbolic praise, while setting unattainable standards for women, isn’t genuine respect. It’s a smokescreen for the blatant double standards that still exist. How can you glorify women as goddesses in one breath and then restrict their choices, freedoms, and rights in the next? No one should be “obligated” to embody some divine image just because society slaps that label on them. Every person man or woman deserves the freedom to choose their own path without being burdened by expectations based on outdated ideas. Women don’t need to be “goddesses” or “superwomen.” What they need is the right to just be human, to make their own choices without judgment or pressure to live up to these impossible ideals. And hey, if I’ve made any mistakes or if this perspective falls short in any way, I apologize. As a man, I recognize that my understanding of these issues is shaped by second-hand experiences through interactions, reading, and media. I may not fully grasp the depth of what women go through, but I’m always open to learning more and improving. So, if there’s anything off in my take, feel free to correct me. And good luck and continue your great work. ♥️

I came here through your Instagram, I was searching for Indian feminists debunking men's rights activist on fake rape cases or other issues from men, because there are no feminists from India who cover these topics critically like western feminists criticize the men's rights movement, then I was searching for a Indian feminist who covered all these topics and found you in my following list, then I visited your TH-cam channel saw the men's right video, I haven't watched that video completely but I am so glad that I found you.

There is a fucked up view of women as something holy but an aversion of women in the Indian diaspora to accept women to be anything less than perfect, your video is a great to show the humanity of the feminine presenting person ( I'm sorry I'm a bit drunk I hope I got my point across)

Its all on men. I moved to a safer state in India and was so shocked to see how safe it was to walk outside freely. Even in a crowd men were not paying attention to you and it felt so good like you can finally breathe. So it’s all about how men see women with respect and not someone they have to chase.
My personal solution to this “good girl” notion was to be horrible than most guys in my family so I put they in place with low expectations. After that even if i did lil bit better they were so grateful 😂 but I hate it sometimes that i do all this instead of being a better version of myself just to avoid being treated unfairly. But its still better than being treated like a doormat.

Hatred towards a whole gender and they are the ones who are sexist. Blaming other sex for everything is wrong. Doesn't matter what gender does it. When men spread hatred towards women or women do the same for men. It's unacceptable. And both should be condemned. Humans need eachother. For new innovations and better life.
EVIL Corporations, leaders, influencers are milking this hatred for profit.
We MUST ASK THE RIGHT QUESTIONS AND MAKE SURE PEOPLE WHO DO BAD THINGS GET PUNISHMENT NO MATTER HOW RICH OR POOR .

Girl I mean, what do u expect from a society that says “boys are easier to raise” and then leave them to raise themselves. 😂😂😂. The parents of such boys are more at fault, and it includes their moms.
So let’s not pin it all on men. (Also nah, a lot of men choose to not grow up even after seeing the need to change, such men deserve this hate for sure. Infact I encourage hate for such male honey bees)

Also it is important to note that in the shakteya philosophy the goddess is above alll deities, but yeah I agree that we are very backward in our belief that only a certain subsect of women deserve respect, i hope with all my heart that we change this regressive thought process, i am a devout Hindu and I believe that we have severely strayed from the path of general acceptance of all things human

I once observed how a male priest was highly devoted to dress up the female goddess idol in a detailed manner. He also put makeup on the idol and jewelry. I then wondered if he respected his daughter and wife in the same manner. I still wonder if the verses of chandi where women are worshipped was applied by the man.

One does not become a goddess or a god just like that, for that one has to do penance, meditation, soul dharma practice, truth and give up all worldly desires like lust, anger, greed, attachment, jealousy and hatred.

Even that will not make you god or goddess, superpowers by meditation will only make you god and there are good, bad goddess in Hindu mythology too

Ive always wanted to raise my opinions on this topic but did not really how to, without offending people.
Just like how men's importantance in this world is not based on them being brahma or shivji, we dont need to be like lakshmi or sathi. Stop.this.
