Hey Fred I don’t know if you have tried it yet but I live in Wisconsin and my plan was to remove the entire mechanism for lifting the mower deck (frame and motor) just to keep it out of the salt etc. Only to discover that if the electric lift motor assembly is removed it throws a nasty code and won’t even allow the pto to operate snowblower attachment. This was also somewhat verified by the dealer and looks like I’ll just have to reconnect the motor and just leave it on...
+Jonny jetstreamer Hey Jonny I just dropped the frame only on my machine. The way I had to arrange my garage for winter, had to pull the top half of the rops roll bar off as well, so everything would fit when I close the door.
Use this manual manuals.deere.com/omview/OMLVU30964_19/?tM= Go to the section Removing Mower and make sure to include Step 14: If mid PTO will be used for other applications: (Such as a Front Mounted Snow Blower or the Sweeper)
I do still have this machine. If you need more lift capacities with loader and rear 3 point, then 2032r would be better. I had the 1025R as well, which I DID run out of lift capacity with the loader, but it out lifted my X729 tractor that I had a 45 loader on. Each tractor has its advantages and disadvantages for sure. Seriously consider single point hydraulics, if that is an option for you. I've heard you cant get single point hydraulics in 3 series tractors. My x729 mowed the yard the fastest, I could and did dig a trench with it. The 1025R, i never ran out of power, but like i said, did while picking something heavy up.
First! We own a x729 with a 54inch mower deck with a power flow bagger and a 47 inch snow blower! And for my own tractor a 47inch snowblower and a 54inch auto connect deck!
I am trying to figure out if a angle snow & dozer blade might be a better way to go. Both for dirt grading and driveway gravel and also snow. What you think? There just about the same amount of money I think.
Any chance you can get the exact part numbers for the Tee fittings (and other misc. fittings) your dealer installed on the front loader hydraulics. I would like to do the exact same modification to my 2038R. Thanks in advanceSincerely
kingpinsportfishing1 You have to take the 3 point off. The 2 front cylinders that lift the blower, stay attached to the tractor on one end. Very easy to take off/put on. Planning a video soon!
+P uug You cant get a 54" in the new redesigned 2017 2032R's. 2016 was the last year. I was quoted 54" as well, and then my salesman discovered the mistake. 2017's have the beefier front 3 point hook up, previous years is not 3 point. It isnt a typo.
I'm sorry for the confusion but I have a 2017 2032R as well and want to make sure I get the best option. Is the 59" available for the 2017 redesigned 2032R and the 54" is 2016 and earlier?
Your prediction came true. I asked about the 59" and they quoted that for much more money. I then asked will the 54" work on my tractor and even referenced our conversation. After assuring me the 54" would work, I ordered it. After a day or two, got the phone call. Thanks for your input, at least I was expecting the issue before they knew about it.
P uug Thanks for the update. Soon I will be going on vacation, and plan on making a how to video to remove snowblower and a how to on installing blower. Its pretty easy. I figure good folks out there are wondering whats entailed. I will definitely mention how the 54" blower wont work. Funny how you tried to tell em and they proceeded anyways. Maybe the salesman talked to a guru who said, "54 WILL work, that youtube guy is an idiot!" Or similar.
Thomas Bridges You have to take the blower then the 3 point off to attach the loader. It's very easy. Well you be the judge. I will be making a video on taking off/installing 3 point soon.
The dealer installed those hydraulic T fittings instead of installing a Quick Disconnect Hydraulic connector for the snow blower? Is the Quick Disconnect Hydraulic connector only available for the loader? I sure hope not.
+Erik Asquith I tried to have a quick disconnect for the snowblower thru the dealer, when ordering, and when they were figuring things out. They told me this wasnt possible. Thats why they went with the tees. Maybe you and or your dealer can come up with it. Please let me know what you find. I think part of the problem is that the lift cylinders are always on the tractor, and u shaped pieces retain them when not in use. These lift cylinders are always hydraulically hooked up. So if it were possible to have a quick connect, 2 of the 4 fittings would have to be blocked off, on top of the snowblower quick connect. My thought was, once I put the blower on, its on for the winter. Quick connect really not needed for blower in my case.
Thanks for all of your informative videos Fred..I just bought the 2038r with all the identical attachments that you have.

once you remove the command cut system, raise it to full up and it will allow it to operate as normal

@@PaulChristenson I passed the bar exam but was able to navigate that link. What does 14 say?
Fred...do you still have this machine? I am looking at a 1025r but may step up to the 2032r. Wouldn't mind some feedback.

Thats great! Do you have any videos of your awesome john deere?
Boy you shouldn’t be able to engage your blower without being on the seat. I have a 2030 and it would shut down if I tried that of the tractor

That would be very cool. You've got an additional function there year round.
Love the tractor weight in the seat. Was wondering how it started without an operator in the seat. Lol

You got a good eye!

Hope this helps...

Can you put the loader on with the front 3 pt hitch still installed? Mines coming in next week, just curious

Great setup for winter. Do you get a lot of snow? What state are you in?
Judging by the Dealer sticker, its most likely Mid Minnesota but Midwest is a safe bet.
Is this a 59" or typo? I was just quoted a 54" setup from my dealer and wondering if there is a larger model?

Yes, 54" snowblower is 2016 and older. 59" snowblower is this yrs model. If they order 54, they will discover it wont work.

Kind of under powered for that snow blower
How hard is it to install and remove when you want to put the loader back on?
Thomas Bridges
You have to take the blower then the 3 point off to attach the loader. It's very easy. Well you be the judge. I will be making a video on taking off/installing 3 point soon.
No cab?????????

No cab here! Need bigger garage! I would buy the backhoe attachment first!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great video would love to see a complete install from scratch
Thomas Bridges
I am definitely planning on doing this video. I'm about 10 days out. Install is easy, yet the video will be informative
