I think the important thing to remember about the ending of this movie is kinda the lesson learned with Tien, Piccolo, even Gohan and Vegeta.. At the end of the day, the plot of Dragonball is that.. any character that isn't Sun Wukong can at points take the center stage.. but when things get too much for anybody else to handle, Goku is the only one who can stand toe to toe with the things even the people he rolls with can't fux with. It could be more elegant, with like Goku restraining Hiruda and Trunks landing the final blow.. but it's hard to argue that it doesn't follow the established course of their universe, especially after Super and Multiverse tourney. 8 Dragonfists out of 10.

Trunks was holding an egg salad sandwich I don’t think Japanese people eat grilled cheese all that often. Japanese egg salad sandwiches are the best egg salad sandwiches to me. With a Bikkle, or milkis, or melon ramune, or calpico! These Anime always make me miss Japan. All because of the food there. I miss the scenery, theme parks, Tokyo, and the manga at the nearest 7 eleven also the polite towns people in residential neighborhoods and places of employment when I am a tourist of course. It’s really beautiful there. However, as a woman I would more than likely hate living there. It would be too stiff, prejudic£ difficult, exhausting, and dangerous for me! I would visit then come back right away! If you learn about Japan you’ll understand exactly what I mean. Really watch how the characters in the anime are treated and really study them and see what I mean. A lot of these characters are representations of actual people in Japan and how they feel in the real world!

As for reviving the people and fixing the damage of the city- Remember they have Dende which can contact elder Muri for allowing them to use the Namekian DB. Yeah I don't like that everyone is always relying on one Saiyan to do the job. Tapion's sacrifice loses it's purpose when Goku is the one to finish Hirudegarn. That being said, as much as this movie has flaws I still love it.

This movie is kid Trunks having his moment in that world, and Goku is there the entire time, saving that world. This is a deep lore payoff, for the storytelling closure.
Some of the dialogue changes are also very questionable. In the dub, here, they made it look like Videl was ready to cheat on Gohan lol, but in the sub she just said she likes heroes.
