this video in particular is sort of a sigil for me. I always come back to it to charge up when im feeling a bit all over the place. Sort of buttons up my focus. I listen when im online searching for books or re organizing my space. Thank you..so much.
Wonderful and .thought provoking content as always. I must compliment you on your alter. I love the interesting juxtaposition of objects such as the cute happiness of twin hello kitties flanking the stunning image of the lady with the skull. It’s making my mind go in weird directions. Thank you for sharing and always making me question and think!
Thanks so much for this video! I think there have been some times that the structure of Wicca is comforting to me, and other times that I've felt uncomfortable and broke loose.
My first magickal book bought was Liber Null and Psychonaut in 1996. But didn’t get far because it intimidated me. And now I’m getting the feeling chaos Magick might have been my thing all along. Didn’t realize till seeing your definition to pantheism that I’ve been that my whole life. As always. Thx for the valuable content you have given and are giving. I don’t feel quite so alone in my outlook in this world. ✌🏻
lovely and well done as usual, I adore your alter...mine has a similar setup...totally not your typical alter...I also pull images from different spiritual paths and various quirky items. .I have never been able to label my practice, nor have I wanted to, but Chaos magic makes so much sense to me. I agree with what you said about Grimm's fairy tales. As an adult, I have learned so much more from them. Thnx for the video xx
glad I found this. Been thinking a lot about the idea of Chaos Witchery since I found your channel. I really resonate with the idea of belief as a tool. I have always been more curios about the psychological/spiritual and mundane function of belief --rather than the truthyness of any belief. I feel that the enlightenment period changed the way people thought about belief and created this idea that beliefs must be provable--I'm more interested in weather they are helpful.
I love your videos. The Organic spiritual path :) I am a writer and when I am writing I feel like I connect with God and become God and everything and I am everything :) I am feeling this right now everything is falling into place in some many ways - synchronicity.
by the way, i also go into Catholic churches. There are so many beautiful churches around me here in New England... i love the visuals, the smells, the tranquility...i like to go in them when they are open, but no masses being said.
I am just finishing up Liber Null and Psychonaut. I have never identified as a pagan or witch and have been very hesitant to use the word magician, however, various individuals in my life have noticed my interest in spirituality and magic and have inadvertently helped to initiate me, if that makes any sense.(con)
I have always been vaguely drawn to the idea of magic, psychic abilities and otherworldly beings, but have a background in fundamentalist Christianity so am extra skeptical and careful. I have experimented with hallucinogens since my de-conversion and experienced some seemingly significant realizations that contributed to and accentuated my interest in religion/philosophy/psychology/mythology/spirituality and then most recently magic(con)
Indeed. There's something about opulent reverence that speaks to my love of symbols and signs.. In a way, the way Catholics carry on in terms of their iconography and altars and incense and such is pretty darn pagan!
Oh no, neither do I! Otherwise I wouldn't believe you could be both and I obviously know that you are.. But, for me, I just find the idea of the words 'masculine' and 'feminine' to be too restrictive in terms of everything else I imagine the divine to be, I guess. I wanted to be Wiccan for a long time though. I still feel drawn to it but I have to be honest about the things which prevent me from really feeling comfortable with the label. Your channel has opened my eyes to a lot though!
The machine.... isn't a machine. It's an organism. That's how I'd describe pantheism :) You know I'm a pantheist too, I don't find that it clashes with Wiccan practices.
Words are extremely important in magic. No such word as Descriptor exists in this context. de·scrip·tor [dih-skrip-ter] noun 1 a significant word or phrase used to categorize or describe text or other material, especially when indexing or in an information retrieval system. 2 Computers. a data item that stores the attributes of some other datum: a task descriptor. Origin: 1930-35 for an earlier sense; describe + -tor, with vowel change and devoicing by analogy with similar L derivatives.
I really don't understand why protestant and other spiritual practitioners believe Catholic iconography as idolatrous. It's not. They are symbols to represent the divine as with anything else. It drives me a bit nuts sometimes. My mom is Baptist and my dad is Catholic and she has told us (I was raised Catholic) that many people feel we idolize statues (and Mary) too much. That's why a lot of Baptist churches are so plain. I guess it is from my Catholic roots that I too love images and statues and incense, oh my! :P But it does still drive me bonkers that people who are not Catholic describe those who are as idolatrous. Gr! Lol. Representations of the divine are such powerful tools for contemplation and getting in the mindset, as you well know. :)
I don't see it that way, personally. Aren't you supposed to actually be allowing the god or goddess to move, speak and act *through* you, rather than 'becoming' them as a psychological exercise. I see invocation much the same way I see channelling..

Same! I watched this so many times.

So interesting to hear more about chaos magic, thank you :)

So far, from what i know of it, chaos magic really resonates with my understanding of reality and magic.
Mmm, church explorations in New England - that sounds delicious!

I like that spirituality evolves like that and we can allow ourselves to go with it.

thanks you for your wisdom and sharing your path with us :)
I love Catholic churches, they are fantastic, they are just so visually powerful. I love the way you talk, you're so eloquent!
'Software to interact with the world.' Exactly! :)
:) Thanks for watching and it's nice to know that you relate. I mean, I'd believe what I believe anyway, but it's human to enjoy not feeling so alone!

Fascinating journey you've been on so far, by the way!

:) I love the way you talk too. You float my boat :)
Seems like you're on the cusp of some wonderful explorations then! It's nice to be at liberty to reserve the right to withhold labels and just BE! :)
Thanks for letting me know your response. So, you may be a chaos witch like me!? :)
Wow...yu just explained how I been thinking of God. ..cuz I don't feel it's a person....im still learning about types etc...

and thanks. Yours too.
Something came to me.
Decorate your boundaries,
Decorate your circle.
Doesn't that make sense??
For me, the word 'God' totally transcends all notions of human gender. God is an 'it' in my language :)
aww :3 shucks

The ego work you speak of, surely the invocation of the gods in Wicca constutes this persona play?
