I usually never vote but the older I get the more I realize we are so lucky to be able to vote. In other countries you don’t have many rights as you do here in the states. Even if you think your vote doesn’t matter. Go ahead and still vote!!

Thanks for this. So glad to see a news station just list the facts instead of partisan talking points. It is more like getting a good table of contents than deep research, but it is a good place to start your research. Although, the CA voting guide is similar but in print instead of video.

I just finished watching this, but it was on top of going to the secretary of state site, reading arguments, then analysis, then PDF of proposed laws. Man, prop 34 is a 6-page PDF and almost confused me even more. The site helps even more, because you can look at top donors of proponents and opponents and then dig a little into who they are. Lots of work!

Thank you for presenting this information. We appreciate its accuracy and unbiased approach. I am a well informed registered voter, however the language in some of these propositions made it difficult to determine what their impact might be to our state. Thanks again for providing clarity to these issues. Today is the first day for early in-person voting, I look forward to casting my vote day!

Can abc do an investigation segment on where the lottery money goes to? So many California win big jackpot and a lot of that money should going to school. How are we in such a dire situation to need Prop 2?

    No on 5
It's sounds like it only benifits investors. To build more affordable housing?? Here in Downtown Los Angeles they said the same thing, built huge buildings but the prices aren't affordable, you guys should see these tall skyscraper buildings that are empty, houses no one. No more building, just let those greedy investors take a hit and lower the prices there.
And they want to be able to obtain loans/bonds easier to obtain. It means they'll be able to raise taxes faster and even higher. They'll just pocket the money and we're left to pay.

These bonds….can someone help me understand our history and track record on similar bonds in the past? Have we approved tons of “prop 2 and 4’s” in the past and then have we been faithful to pay them back? I want to understand if this is like a family who has a bunch of mortgages, but is paying them off and wants to buy another house, or if it’s like someone with a bunch of mortgages who is not paying off their mortgages and still wants to get approved to buy another house

When they say it goes to the school, what would the money be allocated to? Supplies, more teachers? Renovations? Cause I'd rather they spend it to expand or improve education.

  • @mightydeathlash2867

    Prop 2?
I thought we already paid taxes for education??
California pays double taxes too. How is that not enough.
I feel like if we say yes, it's money going unde the table for something else.
    Same goes for 4

I see only 571 thumbs up and 0 thumbs down. This is amazing, unbiased summary of the where the propositions arise (legislative or special interest groups), background on them and what voting yes or no would create. Since propositions are a direct representation of our individuals votes (no electoral college making final decisions for us) it would make sense for more Californians to view this and have it marketing in a way to reach the masses, not only a few who happened to see the page. As someone who actually reads the propositions and tries to interpret between all the personal narratives this was very helpful in creating the questions i could then specifically look up and in making a final decision. Thank you for posting this. Image what it would due for the masses if the network news referred people to it.

Taxes and more taxes. How much more does the working class have to give, while drug addicts, criminals, and benefits cheats get to enjoy everything for free?

    • @FunGhoul04
      @FunGhoul04 27 วันที่ผ่านมา

Actually that is propaganda. Homeless and criminals are still very displaced. The people who enjoy everything for free are greedy lobbyists and politicians taking a 6 month cruise on your dime instead of helping our infrastructure.

The wealthy need more money to help pay for for property taxes for their multi million mansions in various cities😮 I really feel bad that they have to pay high taxes to live in luxury. Imagine not able to pay for their 3rd mansions 😢that would mean not able to have extra income for vacations, dining, new cars, and swimming pool cost. 😢
