Love your videos. I received the Loewe small puzzle bag for Christmas in textured leather red and I adore this bag. It is so easy to use, so we'll made, love the ease of the zippers and can hold so much. I love the look of it and it is so comfortable to wear and never feel it is heavy even wearing all day. Great in depth analysis! It's so difficult to think of all of these points when you're just excited about a bag. Would love to hear a review with your thoughts on your new Chanel bag once you have used her a bit. I want to say though, I have a small Givenchy Antigona in black and it Is definitely one of my favourite bags. I don't have zipper issues, and now they make the shoulder strap a bit longer so I have no t-Rex impersonation issues ( though not a crossbody length).
I recently bought the Saint Laurent tote but returned it both from Net A Porter and Selfridges as they’ve changed the design ever so slightly. It’s slightly smaller than yours, ‘wings’ out at the top and is also more rigid in shape. Such a shame as I love the unstructured nature of the original version. 😪
I loved this video even though I don’t really like handbags. I think you have the right idea about vlogs. You don’t spend all the time talking about how hungover you are. Much more professional than many others. All the best Emma

yes, love your choices, totally agree. I love the GG marmont I think its just lovely and priced well. I will however add the loewe in my wishlist down the line. the tan color you have here is sold out in the US for quite some time now.
Loved the video! I have a Small Antigona in black calf leather, and absolutely love it. Not necessarily the most practical because of the narrow opening, but you can fit so much in there! I guess the issue with the zipper is that it's SO big that you do have to close it with 2 hands... I have my eyes on the Gucci Marmont, glad to see it's in your faves list! x

Love how informative and in depth this was, it’s such an investment buying a designer bag and the pitfalls are not always obvious initially and often come from experience so it’s great to hear your thoughts on these. I have a pale cream Miu Miu bag which I love but it’s been destroyed by denim transfer on the back and it’s not really usable anymore so I’d never get something that light again! 😔 X
When I use large tote bags without a full closure I just put my phone and wallet under other things, like book/scarf, so the valuables gets naturally ‘lost’ in the bag hence not that easy for someone to find it unless they have a good search inside the bag. For myself because I know which direction I have ‘buried’ them it’s fairly easy for me to find them.
I have one that looks like the YSL one but a bit longer instead of wider. Genuine leather made in Italy. Bought in Italy for 30 euro. Admitedly you are not going to get it that cheap elsewhere but Etsy has some really nice leather ones for about 200 or so...

Yup; just sold my grey Chloe Faye because it just always looked dirty even though I only wore the bag like 6 times. Such a bad purchase on my part. Gorgeous bag but the suede is a no no!
I really enjoyed this video!! However, a lot of the worsts come down to choice. I have the small Givenchy Antigona in black grained leather and it's one of my most used and loved and lovingly gazed at bags :). I have the small Chloe Faye in the all leather cream version and it has no wear, no colour transfer and jingles minimally. It's very practical as a small bag. I love the Saint Laurent tote too! And please do the same for designer shoes!!!
I agree, I did say in the video that it's not necessarily the bag itself but the colour choice 👍🏼 But there are still down sides to the bags in the worst category, in my opinion. I am working on a best & worst shoe video for you guys xxx
When antigona first came out, I had considered it but I decided against it after trying it on in the store for the exact same reasons. My hands would get scratched by the zipper and the opening was so tight plus the bulkiness felt awkward when worn on shoulder
Best 'best & worst handbags' so far! I love my velvet marmont bag, even tho after 9 months the velvet on the lock part has shown a bit of use, I still love that! Now I think I need to try the Loewe puzzle bag!

Oh! I have a 40 year old purse made out of a Kilimanjaro rug that I bought for about $100. I had “feet” put on it and have had the leather strap reinforced. NO ONE has a big like this and it’s FAR prettier than any of the Neverfills! And my multicolored straw bag from Africa covers me for 6 months of the year here in South Texas! I use a purse organizer to keep the essentials in and just move that from bag to bag. I DID splurge on a few cute Michael Kors! Lol Just to have some smaller bags with less weight now that I’m old!11 72! Ha! 🌹
Great video Emma! Just wanted to mention that the little leather bits on the Faye clips are for covering the clip openings. It should prevent the clips from accidentally latching on to the bag. Cheers!

I know you've only had your Chanel for 2 weeks, and said in this one they are a lot to spend... but what would you sway towards if you had the choice now?
My vintage Chanel is much much smaller than the Marmont so it would depend on the size, My Chanel was £2,200 and the Gucci was £1,600, to get a bigger Chanel (vintage) you'd be looking at anywhere from £2,600-£3,000 depending on the condition so it all comes down to your budget. They are essentially the same style of bag...but Chanel is just so classic and iconic 🙌🏼
Literally had the exact same thoughts about my Celine Phantom. SO HEAVY, so impractical, so big. I got sucked in, too - they looked so good on some people. Not for me.
I worked for Coach in the states for 8 years and we always remedied the stiff zipper issue with some wax paper. Just rub it back and forth while the zipper is open is open on each side for a minute or so each and your zipper will glide! Hope this helps!
Lots of people have suggested this, but for the money these bags cost it does kinda make me wonder why the zip doesn't just work smoothly in the first place 🤔
I have the black Chloe in all leather and it's my go-to bag! I think the color makes such a big difference, plus the fact that I don't carry a ton in it (vs. a vlogger w/ a camera). I love how detailed this video is with all your thoughts and experiences. Thank you!
Itssnitchy I wish I’d have gone for all-black but even then I’m not sure how much I’d wear it because of the camera issue. My camera isn’t even that heavy, it’s one of the lightest, it’s just the weight of the bag and that thin strap on my shoulder 😩😩😩

Judith is a lovely bag! I’d love to see a video on bag styles you think should be wardrobe staples if a person could only have a few bags. I’m also curious about brands you don’t care for. For example, I don’t recall seeing any Louis Vuitton in your prior bag collection video. Outside of Gucci (and the new Chanel) it seems you’re drawn to brands that are typically only known by us handbag junkies. I’m interested in hearing more about brands you like and those you don’t like.
Stephanie G it depends on the style of the bag, there are a few brands that I wouldn’t buy like Fendi because the brand just isn’t my cup of tea but otherwise it does depend on the style of the bag. I have a series coming up called ‘Wardrobe Staples’ so I’ll be touching on good investment bags during that video 👍🏼 With regards to Louis Vuitton, I’ve just never found one that I like enough to pay their prices 🤷🏼♀️💋

Great in-depth info! I have a bag that has the same issue as the Givanchy bag, where the opening is smaller and stiff, which makes it really hard to retrieve things and put them back in easily. I also have a suede bag, and a leather tote which I love, but they get so heavy when filled that I have a tendency to leave them on the shelf. 😕 So, I definitely related to a couple of your quams. I own the Givenchy Antigona in the medium size and I'll start by saying I love the bag so much. It is really a gorgeous bag BUT it's wayyyyyy too big and structured. When ever I wear it i feel like i'm carrying luggage around plus I always knock things over which is super frustrating. I've gone back and forth with selling it but i truly believe it's best to part ways and grab a bag that better suits my lifestyle and body frame.

u might want to try n clean by gently rubbing suede w white or. yellow cornmeal then take small brush n brush off excess. it will absorb oil n dirt. hope it helps my mom used to clean her felt hats w it.
Tried and failed. I tried every trick in the book with that bag, the only thing that removed a bit of the dirt was an eraser but it also caused damage to the nubuck 😩
Again, great vlog!! I can't believe Faye made the worst list but totally see your points with why she made the list...one of my fav outfit pics ever of you, you are wearing her in it. You have on the Asos blue and white stripe top with high waisted jeans, and those wedge sandals with Faye :-) I bought that top just to replicate that look and wished I could afford Faye but I will look for another bag now. To loosen a zip, run a candle along the zip teeth. Then run the zipper pull over the waxed teeth a few times and wipe off any wax residue with a damp cloth. I tried this on an LV Alma and it woked beautifully.
Lianne Hansen I have heard that but I kinda feel like over a grand for a bag, it should really have a smooth zipper and I shouldn’t have to faff about with a candle 🙈

I'm actually considering getting a Chloe Faye (about time as well) but your review is really making me re-consider it! The weight factor is a make-or-breaker for me - I've already got the YSL Loulou (also as an alternative to the chanel classic) and much as I love it, it's really quite heavy and I don't want to end up with another bag which will weigh my little 5' frame down more! thanks for this!! x

Oh! I have a 40 year old purse made out of a Kilimanjaro rug that I bought for about $100. I had “feet” put on it and have had the leather strap reinforced. NO ONE has a big like this and it’s FAR prettier than any of the Neverfills! And my multicolored straw bag from Africa covers me for 6 months of the year here in South Texas! I use a purse organizer to keep the essentials in and just move that from bag to bag. I DID splurge on a few cute Michael Kors! Lol Just to have some smaller bags with less weight now that I’m old!11 72! Ha! 🌹
Great video Emma! Just wanted to mention that the little leather bits on the Faye clips are for covering the clip openings. It should prevent the clips from accidentally latching on to the bag. Cheers!

You are glowing!! Looking gorgeous hun! I've never purchased a designer bag, but have my eye on either a Chanel or the medium marmot... time to save, plus, which would you suggest? I know you've only had your Chanel for 2 weeks, and said in this one they are a lot to spend... but what would you sway towards if you had the choice now?
My vintage Chanel is much much smaller than the Marmont so it would depend on the size, My Chanel was £2,200 and the Gucci was £1,600, to get a bigger Chanel (vintage) you'd be looking at anywhere from £2,600-£3,000 depending on the condition so it all comes down to your budget. They are essentially the same style of bag...but Chanel is just so classic and iconic 🙌🏼

I worked for Coach in the states for 8 years and we always remedied the stiff zipper issue with some wax paper. Just rub it back and forth while the zipper is open is open on each side for a minute or so each and your zipper will glide! Hope this helps!
Lots of people have suggested this, but for the money these bags cost it does kinda make me wonder why the zip doesn't just work smoothly in the first place 🤔

I have the black Chloe in all leather and it's my go-to bag! I think the color makes such a big difference, plus the fact that I don't carry a ton in it (vs. a vlogger w/ a camera). I love how detailed this video is with all your thoughts and experiences. Thank you!
Itssnitchy I wish I’d have gone for all-black but even then I’m not sure how much I’d wear it because of the camera issue. My camera isn’t even that heavy, it’s one of the lightest, it’s just the weight of the bag and that thin strap on my shoulder 😩😩😩

Judith is a lovely bag! I’d love to see a video on bag styles you think should be wardrobe staples if a person could only have a few bags. I’m also curious about brands you don’t care for. For example, I don’t recall seeing any Louis Vuitton in your prior bag collection video. Outside of Gucci (and the new Chanel) it seems you’re drawn to brands that are typically only known by us handbag junkies. I’m interested in hearing more about brands you like and those you don’t like.
Stephanie G it depends on the style of the bag, there are a few brands that I wouldn’t buy like Fendi because the brand just isn’t my cup of tea but otherwise it does depend on the style of the bag. I have a series coming up called ‘Wardrobe Staples’ so I’ll be touching on good investment bags during that video 👍🏼
With regards to Louis Vuitton, I’ve just never found one that I like enough to pay their prices 🤷🏼♀️💋

Great in-depth info! I have a bag that has the same issue as the Givanchy bag, where the opening is smaller and stiff, which makes it really hard to retrieve things and put them back in easily. I also have a suede bag, and a leather tote which I love, but they get so heavy when filled that I have a tendency to leave them on the shelf. 😕 So, I definitely related to a couple of your quams. Looking forward to the what's in my bag and the bonus video! 🤗🤗🤗

I own the Givenchy Antigona in the medium size and I'll start by saying I love the bag so much. It is really a gorgeous bag BUT it's wayyyyyy too big and structured. When ever I wear it i feel like i'm carrying luggage around plus I always knock things over which is super frustrating. I've gone back and forth with selling it but i truly believe it's best to part ways and grab a bag that better suits my lifestyle and body frame.

u might want to try n clean by gently rubbing suede w white or. yellow cornmeal then take small brush n brush off excess. it will absorb oil n dirt. hope it helps my mom used to clean her felt hats w it.
Tried and failed. I tried every trick in the book with that bag, the only thing that removed a bit of the dirt was an eraser but it also caused damage to the nubuck 😩

Again, great vlog!! I can't believe Faye made the worst list but totally see your points with why she made the list...one of my fav outfit pics ever of you, you are wearing her in it. You have on the Asos blue and white stripe top with high waisted jeans, and those wedge sandals with Faye :-) I bought that top just to replicate that look and wished I could afford Faye but I will look for another bag now. I really enjoyed this video! I have the medium Givenchy Antigona and I agree with your assessment. I also have the Gucci Marmont in that sane color. It’s one of my favorites too! I’m not a Chloe or Celine fan. That’s just me. I will get the Chanel classic flap in black calfskin, but that may be the only Chanel purchase I make. I may give the puzzle bag a chance. Still pondering. I’m more of a Louis Vuitton kinda girl right now. Thanks for sharing :)
To loosen a zip, run a candle along the zip teeth. Then run the zipper pull over the waxed teeth a few times and wipe off any wax residue with a damp cloth. I tried this on an LV Alma and it woked beautifully.
Lianne Hansen I have heard that but I kinda feel like over a grand for a bag, it should really have a smooth zipper and I shouldn’t have to faff about with a candle 🙈
Try a pencil on the teeth. It will stop it over gripping and won't risk a mess

I'm a bit late to the game here but so glad TH-cam just recommended me this video! I'm actually considering getting a Chloe Faye (about time as well) but your review is really making me re-consider it! The weight factor is a make-or-breaker for me - I've already got the YSL Loulou (also as an alternative to the chanel classic) and much as I love it, it's really quite heavy and I don't want to end up with another bag which will weigh my little 5' frame down more! thanks for this!! x
