You can get the strap repaired on the fendi. Any cobbler should be able to glue and stitch the strap back together. I’ve had that done for vintage belts, it’s great!
I love vintage bags. I have 4 vintage Chanel and 1 vintage Celine Triomphe. I get my bags authenticated with Etinceler. The prices ranges from $10-25 depending on if you want an official certificate or not. Also when I send my bags in to the Leather Surgeon for services I request an authentication certificate which is free if you’re already having the bag service and $50 if not.

I'm a leather backpack lover too - last year I treated myself to a full leather backpack from Bally: black leather, gold hardware. The leather is absolutely wonderful and it's going to stay with me for the rest of my life (I hope)! 😘💋❤️

I just got the Chanel classic flap in caviar for around £2635, and I love it. It’s a vintage (almost 20 years old) but in such a very good condition. You’re right. This will be the bag that I will keep forever (unless I need 💴😂)
I like putting a mini bag, like the burberry, in a large tote or shopper for work. That way if I go out to run an errand or grab lunch, I just a take the mini.
I LOVE the Chanel tote, that's the size of my normal handbags, they're more like luggage! My theory is....the bigger the bag the smaller the bum looks, bhahaha. You have no such problem. X
Thanks to you I bought my Gucci Ophedia GG Small on ebay. Was too scared before to go over there for handbags but I got it for 560€ (hi french here). New it costs 980€ and the girl had bought it on vestiaire for 1300€. I think she just wanted a Gucci bag 🤷🏻♀️Everything was right, I made an offer 70€ under what she wanted at first and Voilà. Love vintage for the price tag but also a lot of iconic bags looked better 15-20 years ago. Got a speedy LV 25cm (they don’t do this one anymore I think) from 2003 and won’t change it for a new one. Saving for a Chanel like yours. I want this one for as long as I could remember. I hope to have enought for my 30th birthday (got 6 years). Thank you for sharing from a french handbags lover.

I LOVE the Chanel backpack 😍 I actually prefer the Chanel Boy over the classic flap (more edgy to me versus feminine/ladylike). I think one of my life goals is to own a pro-owned Chanel, I also love the more lived in look and vintage styles (plus then you don't have to worry about being quite as delicate when you know it's already been loved and used). I love your new bag style. I am also chasing vintage LV bags lol I love the fact it's more affordable and it's unique. I think with LV mono bags the quality is even better in older days. The canvas is more shinier and darker which I like it looks lexuries. The new ones are dull looking and it looks like cheap material to me. Anyways I love your whole style. Very informative video! I've just started looking into vestiaire bcos I want to sell off some of my bags before buying more... Do u have any tips on selling on vestiaire? I live in Asia and I'm not sure if thats gonna be less convenient.
Firstly I would just say check it is viable for you, but I have used them several times to sell and find it relatively easy. The main PRO for me is a lot of people use the site as it is more trusted than others. My main negative is the fees are quite high, although they have just restructured them. My main tip would be to ensure you take lots of photos of the items(s) as that will help them sell. Hope that helps a little. 👍

Hi Emma, I just love your Chanel backpack. I never thought I would be a backpack girl either, but then I got a Kate Spade (I know, it's not a Chanel, but I love it) backpack, and then a DKNY backpack. When will it end? I'm hooked on the convenience.
I like the chanel bags really. But i am not a fan of fendi's and louie's. I just dont get a warm feeling of them. Burberry is also a cute bag. But i wouldnt buy them. I am a person who stuff my bags untill the brim. As a mom i am always filling it to the brim with my stuff and then i am packing my daughters stuff in that same bag. I have or 7 from gucci. 5 big bags and 2 small bags. And i am a fan of them I used 2 of them. The others i will during the time. But the dyno bag i will use when i have holidays or when i have fancy event. That is my new evening bag. Also where my daughters stuff will go in. Ps They are vintage and second hand. I got them 2 or 3 for 100 135 and the others 150 and then 200 or a little above maby 250 max. I love them.

For me personally it would be anything before 2000(s) but this will obviously change as time goes on. 👍

I'm not really a designer bag person, but a girl at work has a Louis Vuitton one (same colour as yours) and I was really impressed by the quality of it. If I had money to spare, that's the brand I'd get. Your Chanel ones are beautiful, but a bit pricey for my blood. Enjoyed the video.
I can talk about the new bags (i bought one 7y ago +- and it was after couple months that hardware was giving of colordiscoloration) i called them ( in the chanelstore) wouldn't help me and they were not kind at all. So okay now push play carmen

eBay now has eBay authenticate for purchasing luxury items. They authenticate the items before they are sold which is great.
I like the idea of vintage bags... since leather and the entire process of tanning is completely cruel and disgusting.... I think that’s why buying vintage is so important.
