For all the truly dry skin girls out there, I have very dry skin and live I. A dry climate. the milky toners are great but I also add a couple drops of squalene (from the Ordinary) into my little puddle of toner and mix them together and then put it on. Then I immediately put in a very emollient cream on top to lock it in. Works great!
My skin is so dry! Thank you so much for sharing these tips. I bought the rose toner from the beginning of this routine. I have pretty much everything else so I can do this right. My skin has done a complete 180 . Looks much better for 57 year old skin that spent half it's life in the sun & the other half in tanning beds!!! Wrinkles are set but my skin glows now, smooth , my wrinkles are plumper & more filled in. It all started with you Nikki!! Before 3 years ago, I had given up. I watched one of your videos and you sparked something in me! Now, I'm back to my self-care and beauty rituals! Every single day! Thank you so much for that. Your kindness and bright personality brings me joy. You're the G.O.A.T and you're absolutely beautiful inside and out!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
That’s so incredible to hear this Amy! I had no idea your skin was that dry and that my videos had helped that much! This makes my day more than you know, thank you for sharing this backstory with me. I always notice and appreciate your love on my channel ❤️🥹🙏🏼
I could not agree more, Nikki you are an absolute treasure of makeup knowledge!! I am just now trying to get back into my self care since my girls are 4 and 3.. but being a “single” mom, i literally cant even use the restroom AT HOME without them BOTH wanting to just sit there and stare into my eyes haha i obviously would look like a bum my whole life if it meant my girls got everything they NEEDED and some of what they WANT!!! I want your brush set soooooooo badly, but i just dont have the money for it EVEN WITH the amazing black Friday sale 😢 it’s okay though.. it will happen one day, i have faith!!! Thank you truly and freely sharing all of your years of experiences and stories and things you have learned!! YOU REALLY ARE THE G.O.A.T 🐐 gosh i hope that is a goat lol my eyes are not what they used to be!
I have been using both since Nikki mentioned them earlier in the year. Total game changer for my year round Crypt Keeper skin. I've gone thru several bottles of each 😊since starting to use them. D'ALBA has some other phenomenal prods as well. The dual serum / moisturizer in the tub is awesome for bedtime skincare.
I appreciate the options ,"if you dont have this ,use this" ur suggestions and insight are unmatched. Thank u ❤🙌🏼 on behalf of the dry dehydrated Parched girlies 😅 .
Nikki, I have watched you since almost the beginning and its so awesome to watch you grow and invent your merch. You deserve it so much because you are always so kind and optimistic which is contagious...lol. Not to mention all the information you've shown me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
For a really pretty pearl sunscreen that is really moisturizing, I much prefer the RMS. It doesn’t need so much working and can also be reapplied on top of makeup later in the day if needed and looks really pretty. I am on my third bottle and I rarely rebuy anything because I am a magpie.
I also love that Haus Pomelo…I have trouble with most blush being too intense and that one really does look just healthy and lit from within. I’m surprised that you left out the Westman Atelier Biscuit and the Nectar and Brûlée Lit Up sticks…those are always in my bag for dry under eye touchups during the day.
I love love your channel. I never had anyone in my life to teach me all these and I’m always looking forward to learn something new from you. You’re so good at what you do.
I tried the Naturium moisturizer multi peptide (tall tube) and I’m in love. It works so well during the hot days and with all my skin tints and foundation. I haven’t come across the one in this video but I’m hooked on the brand. I’m 38 and my skin is true combo. During the winter I’m on the drier side. I may try their intense overnight cream. I also use the vitamin c serum for the morning routine and love it. AND I cannot complaint about the price! Everything else is usually over $25 and I love that this brand doesn’t break the bank.
That By Terry powder is incredible!! It is definitely not talked about enough, I have oily skin but love it for under the eyes. I feel like it’s even better than the PMG powder, yes it’s expensive but it lasts such a long time IMO.
Nikki did a whole video testing out all of the skin tints-search her video catalog 😊 also she’s done quick makeup for work videos as well ☑️ she’s got you covered! 👍🏼
My fave Nikki uncut yet. My skin does exactly what you described. And even worse in the winter as I’m a flight attendant and the air in the plane and outside is so so dry most places in the winter. I feel like this is a masterclass so Thank You!
I am so glad you talked about the By Terry powder! You talked about that brand a long time ago and I took your recommendation! That powder is absolutely gorgeous and keeps my makeup on all day! Your makeup turned out beautiful today Nikki! You’re always gorgeous though! 💜🩷❤️
I’m 51, dry skin. I liked the Mario powder but I LOVE the Fenty blurring powder. May even like it better than my Givency that I can no longer purchase. I find having dry skin, applying my powder with a damp beauty sponge leaves my skin looking so much better than with a brush. Melts it in and I apply just the right amount on my face.
It’s nice to hear other people have to make such a switch, too! My skin is oily/dehydrated, and the dehydrated part is SO HARD to figure out without having heaviness. I’ve been trying a few K-beauty toners this year to help. I’m going to check out the Naturium peptide moisturizer, too - it looks really lovely!!
Thank you Nikki for doing this for us dry skin peeps! I tried the Tower 28 and it did not work well for me. I have very dry skin and creasing and even with good eye prep it was too dry a finish. I am 52, though, so maybe I would have loved it 10 years ago. Great tip with the ELF liquid bronzer, it looks great. And I think it is time to invest in the by Terry.!
Sorry if this has been mentioned…the ByTerry powder may not work for those with dry skin who also live in dry climates. Because it contains hyaluronic acid, it needs to draw moisture from somewhere - and if your environment is dry (like mine is) it will draw the moisture from your skin instead. This is the case for me, and it totally dried out my undereyes any time I used it. 😢. I know lots of ladies who love it, but it’s something to be aware of for each person’s particular skin type and environment.
@ I’m no expert(!), but it’s been just powders with humectants (aka hyaluronic acid) that have been problematic for me. In relation to skincare, I recommend if using HA in a dry climate, to combine and/or follow with a moisturizer. That way the HA draws its moisture from the moisturizer instead of from your skin. Lots of moisturizers now do contain HA, which is a great combination for efficacy and super easy to find in all price ranges. In my experience, it’s only the powders with HA that dry me out terribly! 😊
I love the Naked Sundays Collagen Glow sunscreen for my 50 yr old permanently dry skin. It is my everyday go to under my makeup. I do my morning skincare, go get a cup of coffee, take the dogs out, get dressed or fix my hair and then start my makeup so that my sunscreen gets 15-20 min to soak in. Do I accomplish that timeline everyday...no way, but it is what I do my best to accomplish so my sunscreen gets a minimum of 10 min dry down lol.
I am a dry skin girl and dry to normal in the summer . I suggest a hydrating toner like make prem safe me relief toner essence it's a drink of water and then follow with the Dr Ceracuel kombucha essence for people that are dry and more sensitive. I can't use that fresh toner but the 2 Korean brands I mentioned are top notch amazing. The Dr C is also dual phase and both are frangance free alcohol free and essential oil free; ) just my recs u need to try Nikki you will probably love them as well they are also great for oily and combo and everyone I recommended them too loves them . I am a skincare junkie and ingredient nerd.
Thank you as always Nikki! Your advice is golden! I have very dry skin, and I have been loving the Glow Recipe Watermelon Toner. I find it very hydrating and smoothing for my skin. I wasn't using a toner at all until I saw a previous video of yours when you recommended one for dry skin. Huge difference! Thank you! ❤
I love you so much, love your knowledge, Could you please make a video regarding dry face, skincare, and makeup for mature skin ladies and also affordable so I will be able to buy and continue using ❤
Thank you so much for doing this video Nikki! I find all of your content SO helpful and I've learned so much from you, my makeup application is next level now, all thanks to you! I purchased the Kulfi concealer during the Sephora sale, again, thanks to you, yes I was heavily influenced by you😍, and I am absolutely LOVING it! You're awesome! (for ref. I have combo/dry skin, and it gets drier in the winter months). All I can say is thank you, thank you and keep em coming!! You're truly amazing 🙏🏼😍💗 And PS yes I'd love a video like this with skin tints!
I absolutely love your videos and product recommendations and your spot on with almost everything, but I have somewhat dry skin and the makeup by mario loose powder made my under eye are look extremely dry. I tried it a few times because I know how much you love it, but same result every time. I would recommend the huda loose powder for dry skin, or the laura mercier tone up loose powder in rose.
Nikki, please try the Haley's beauty loose powder. It's a blurring powder, finely milled, clean beauty, and owned by a chemist woman. Please try it and let us know what you think. Some of her line is in Costco as well.
Bought your N14 brush after watching this video and can’t wait to receive it with my Mario powder based on your recommendation too! Thank you for making incredible makeup tutorials and product recommendations!!
Hi Nikki!!!! I’m new as a subscriber and have been spending late nights trying to catch up on all your videos. I love your techniques, your style, and tips. I wish I had these suggestions growing up in the 70’s. But, it’s never too late to learn. My favorite video is Mitch doing your makeup 😂. Also, thank you for making a video on brush washing.. it was really helpful. ❤❤❤❤
Very timely. Dehydration is a beast. Every time the weather gets cooler and the wind picks up my skin dries up. My skin is normal/combination but I need super hydration in the fall through winter.
I would love more dry skin recommendations from you from you! Love your educational tips but a lot of them don't work for me because I'm a 45 dry skin gal.
Thank you so much for this video and love that’s it uncut! I haven’t watched many of your videos but I already am such a huge fan. You explain things really really well and I truly appreciate it. I can tell I can trust your opinion on products as well. For a SAHM (stay at home mom) that’s trying to get back to taking care of her skin and herself, thank you 🤍
@ I am so excited!!! So can’t wait . Spoiling myself for my birthday . I got the foundation the new eyeshadow slurry duo. Brow set some lipsticks. You have to try Paula’s choice enriched calming toner. I am in love with it. I’m a dry girl and is so quenching
@ loved this video too . Early in fall I said I will not be red and flaky this year. I will be hydrated and fresh. Loved this video. I went and got those reds from melt cosmetics love them so much
Such a helpful video! Your brushes are on the way to me, I am so excited. Question: what hydrating skin tint or foundation do you think is the most blurring for mature textured skin? Love you Nikki, thank you!!
Hi Nikki! I’ve been following so many of your tips and techniques over the last year and it’s made such a difference in how my makeup looks! I had this video saved and I have a lot of meetings today. I came back to this video since I have dry skin and even more so in the Fall and Winter! I have some of the products that you used in this video and I followed along while getting ready and I love how my makeup looks and feels!!! I’m so happy to have you here on TH-cam! I’ve been following you for about two years now and every single video I learn something new that elevates my skin and makeup! Question, if you don’t have the By Terry powder or the EM Cosmetics divine setting spray could you please recommend another alternative? The By Terry powder looks so incredible on you and I need a good hydrating setting spray. Mine are all for oily skin. I would appreciate any recommendations ☺️🖤✨ so much!! I loved this video the first time I watched and I love that I can go back to your videos and follow along.
I have really dry skin and one of my favorite hydrating Concealer I LOVE is the one size beauty butter silk concealer. I wish I liked the Ravie Beauty effortless lips, because I love watching Allie, but my lips always end up peeling when I use it. I’m either allergic to it, or it’s just not hydrating enough for me
You’re so talented! Always appreciate the effort you put into all your videos, and your recommendations are always spot on ! (Everytime I followed anything you recommended it worked so well for me) AMAZING thanks for sharing with us all
Dry skin girlie here! 💁♀ Thank you for always thinking about us, even though you have a different skin type! Btw Fresh is having a 50% sale so pick up the Rose Deep Hydration serum there! and Love love love that EM cosmetic finishing spray!
This is exactly what I needed. Thank you so much Nikki! Truly helpful, I’m going to try out the rose essence. I’m hoping that works, I’ve been using the Byoma milky toner and I feel like I need some extra hydration 😊
I love your advice and really do agree with you almost always. Thanks so much. Just wondering if you have ever tried the Il Makiage foundation, I have found it very good. I also like the Maybelline 24 hour with vit C. Really good for the winter.
I remember u talking about the By Terry product once before. Just FYI my local Walmart carries a few of the By Terry products and they have the powder. Just placed a store pickup today. Great video as always!
So grateful for this video, thank you Nikki! Do you have any recommendations for hydrating concealers that I could get in the UK please so I don’t have to pay loads for shipping as I think Kulfi and Tower 28 are more US based? Thanks so much ❤️ xx

Yep! Great tip it’s great for everywhere lol lips too
I do the same! Great advice.
@@pappyone6062 Squalene is a god send for dry skin. Even for my oily but dehydrated skin.
Try Origins squalene
Plant based . I hope.😊
Yes please! Do a video for dry skin with skin tints
SAEI skin tint is very good for a dry parched skin in winter
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
You are the Bob Ross of makeup artistry 🖤 …tap tap tap…
I love that! You’re so right…..Nikki is the queen of makeup technique! 💜
I now only tap tap tap when applying makeup, it's changed things completely!

Just yesterday I thought to myself, I hope Nikki does and updated dry skin video. It's like you're a mind reader. Thank you ❤
As someone with year long dry skin and who lives in northern Minnesota, where the high is 43 today, this is wonderful. Thank you!
Same! It’s already so dry and da k up here.
A skin tint video would be greatly appreciated! Thank you Nikki!❤
She has a vid already where she reviews all of Sephora’s skin tints
I LOVE the Fenty milky fat water toner and LOVE my D’Alba products.
Ahhh !! So so good!!
TINTS! PLEASES! ALL THE TINTS!!! I am very iffy with foundations and have used tinted sunscreens as my “foundation” for nearly 3 years and love it!
Yes please do a skin tint version too ❤
I love your videos! I love how there’s no music or anything but you talking! It’s the best!

Yess, i would love a video of skin tints!! Love you Nickiiii

It's like you knew my soul needed this video. I use the Fresh Rose and Squalane Hydration and I'm obsessed.
A video with skin tint would be amazing! I can't really wear makeup as a nurse, but I still want to look nice!
Nikki did a whole video testing out all of the skin tints-search her video catalog 😊 also she’s done quick makeup for work videos as well ☑️ she’s got you covered! 👍🏼
@alicenicolai2323 she had mentioned in the video to comment if we'd like to see this routine with skin tint instead.
Nikki, could you do a video on how you care for your brushes? How you clean them? How often, etc? Thank you!!!
My fave Nikki uncut yet. My skin does exactly what you described. And even worse in the winter as I’m a flight attendant and the air in the plane and outside is so so dry most places in the winter. I feel like this is a masterclass so Thank You!
I’m a flight attendant too , Sis my entire face is giving Phoenix layover 😭 sooo dry

Haha! That mosquito was persistent! Glad you liked the routine, thank you for watching! 💖
Good morning Nikki! Love my Tuesday morning videos ! Hope you have a great week nikki!
Yes I would love to know the best skin tints for dry skin
But she has oily skin Maybe she. Could share some advice from her older clients it’s all about skin care
Yes please! A video on skin tints would be great. I generally use a bb cream or skin tint
I love milky toners and the D'alba spray. Works great! And we're going to need some tap tap tap merch! Thanks for all that you do Nikki!
This video is 100% for me ALL year though. The fresh oil I bought when you talked about it a year or so ago and LOVE! TY
I love the longer form content Nikki. Very informative….❤
Yassssss. This is my video! I’m crusty and dry all year but winter…….I’m 43. It’s truly a struggle.
Yes please! Please do winter skin tints too ❤
Hello 👋🤗 yes! I need this topic today. I've been suffering with dry skin for a while now! As soon as season changes! Thank you ❤
Please do one with skin tints for dry skin!!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you for turning me on to the d’alba first spray serum! I have combo skin and this serum is a great first step for me after toner!
this was a great video! would love to see more makeup look videos for us dry skin folks 🩵
I live in Arizona/dry climate, do you have any dry desert skin recs? Or is the rule of thumb just to avoid hyaluronic acid?
I’m such a fan of all of the naked Sundays formulas! They are so good under makeup !
I can’t wait to try that rise toner 🌹🌹🌹 love the cute top you are wearing 😍 was hoping you would link it?!🙏🏼🤎
Hi Alice-- I looked for the toner on the Fresh website. It's actually considered a "serum" there.
@ 🙏🏼🌹
Im pretty sure the top is a free people top. I tried to link it but wouldn’t let me.
The Ciele bronzing drops are hydrating, non comedogenic and have SPF 50. I use the lightest shade as a bronzer and it's beautiful ❤
I am a dry skin girl and dry to normal in the summer . I just ordered Patrick Ta today . Foundation was in there so pumped to see it on here.
You’ll have to let me know what you think!

Such a helpful video! Your brushes are on the way to me, I am so excited. Question: what hydrating skin tint or foundation do you think is the most blurring for mature textured skin? Love you Nikki, thank you!!
Nikki I started using the Rose water last year when you recommended it You’re right!…..it feels WONderful!!
Yes please ! Share skin tints for dryer seasons ! Thanks so much !
Hi Nikki!
I’ve been following so many of your tips and techniques over the last year and it’s made such a difference in how my makeup looks!
I had this video saved and I have a lot of meetings today.
I came back to this video since I have dry skin and even more so in the Fall and Winter!

17:38 yes I have to use completely different products in the winter! So annoying!
Thank you so much! There are many gems here that I’ll be adding to my kit.
Pro tip!! You can find a mini of the By Terry pressed powder on dermstore!
So I use the Misha Time Revolution toner you recommended in another video and now have my 74 yr old mum on it! It works really well.
Hi Nikki, yes please do a video on skin tints. Thank you! Love your videos!
The best mornings for me is when I can sit by my vanity and do my hair and makeup and be accompanied by a new Nikki video ❤🥹🙏🏾
Could you do another video on how to match foundations to your skin????? Still struggling to figure this out!
I have really dry skin and one of my favorite hydrating Concealer I LOVE is the one size beauty butter silk concealer. I wish I liked the Ravie Beauty effortless lips, because I love watching Allie, but my lips always end up peeling when I use it. I’m either allergic to it, or it’s just not hydrating enough for me
this video literally came in the perfect moment in my life, love you
Thank you so much for this! This is so helpful, i felt the change in my skin once it started to get colder!
You’re so talented! Always appreciate the effort you put into all your videos, and your recommendations are always spot on ! (Everytime I followed anything you recommended it worked so well for me) AMAZING thanks for sharing with us all
i have dry skin, thank you so much nikki!! ❤
Dry skin girlie here! 💁♀ Thank you for always thinking about us, even though you have a different skin type! Btw Fresh is having a 50% sale so pick up the Rose Deep Hydration serum there! and Love love love that EM cosmetic finishing spray!
I received my mirrors last week and they are so beautiful! I’m so happy I ordered before they sold out. I should’ve purchased two more.❤❤❤❤
Hi Nikki! Please do a skin tint video. I use Maybeline BB cream and Tower 28.
Immediately purchased the pressed powder! Such a helpful video, the winter weather is rough on my skin. Thank you for this video!
Oh you are going to LOVE IT
This is exactly what I needed. Thank you so much Nikki! Truly helpful, I’m going to try out the rose essence. I’m hoping that works, I’ve been using the Byoma milky toner and I feel like I need some extra hydration 😊
I would looovee to see you do a winter season makeup look. 🖤
I love your advice and really do agree with you almost always. Thanks so much. Just wondering if you have ever tried the Il Makiage foundation, I have found it very good. I also like the Maybelline 24 hour with vit C. Really good for the winter.
Ive ordered Vieve in 210. Waiting on it to come in. Excited
Having dry dehydrated skin, I really appreciate this video. I will be buying the By Terry powder. I believe that Dermstore sell it.
Am looking to purchase the Fresh toner… thank you Nikki!!
It’s so good!! You’ll love it!
By Terry powder is great, they have the same powder in a loose form, I use it for 5 years already and it’s the best for under eyes
The video I needed. Thanks Nikki ❤
Great video and so helpful! I love the top you're wearing....hope to get a link to it.
