Arkansas fan. These vids popped up in my feed and I am glad I watched them. Really enjoyed the analysis. This was a game both teams really needed and of course I sm glad we won, but both teams fought hard even though we both have some similar issues (*cough*OL*cough*). Best of luck the rest of the season. WPS.
Preciate you!
As an Arkansas fan, what an incredible resource for the Florida fan base.
I really wish we had a guy breaking down film like this on our team so our fan base could have more educated opinions
Thank you so much for the kind words!
Y'all younger fans if you ain't been afford a fan at least 15 years don't even comment we've seen the UPS we grew up in the ups Napier is the guy he needs offense of coordinator and a special teams coach but other than that we're young give the players time not the coach the recruiting speaks for itself
I honestly don't put a lot of this on Napier. I feel like the scheme was fine mostly. The fumble for a TD, the offensive line not executing in some moments, and then Mertz taking some throws where he should have thrown it elsewhere, changed this from a double-digit win to a loss. Crazy how large an impact a few plays can make.
And the missed extra point plus field goal
Napier DID NOT say FG decision is on a player. He said the leader of the FG team relays the call TO the FG team from the special teams coach. This was a bad call by the special teams coach AGAIN and bad communication between him and Napier who verifies the call. Napier needs to hire a new STC. He's clearly not the guy.
WHAT special teams coach? Florida does not have a special teams coach.
gators converted these 3rd and longs much more than i expected, but they shouldnt have been in that situation so frequently in the game
Seriously we live in 3rd and long. Not a good strategy. Napier knows it
Did Mertz start actually start passing into the left field? A badly needed move to opening the whole field for defenses to cover.
He didn't roll left by design, that is for sure.
Lotta stuff I was taught in highschool, not being applied
Great video! Multiple times you have complimented the Gator fanbase as being smarter than most. I would have to disagree entirely based off how many people are calling for Billy to be fired as early as last season and even more how many “fans” are calling for Scott Stricklin to be fired after he was awarded the CapitalOne Cup. This fanbase reeks of ignorance
You are describing basically all fan bases in the modern era.
Yea as I said before I think Napier has some plays where it’s only one read because it’s no excuse for this type of blindness for open receivers for 2 years with 2 different QBs. It really doesn’t make sense. Too many plays left on the field by design, of course he said would say the players didn’t execute but they’re only doing what you told them to do. I can agree it was some plays that was executed properly but majority was his calls
I really do not want to watch this. But in all kinds of weather. We stick together
Offensive line is suspect
Obviously
I just want offensive guru who knows what he’s doing :(
Billy Napier the worst coach in the SEC. It shows every day he’s on the football field and he gets in front of a microphone. What an embarrassment the gators will never win with that guy. Please sign him to 50 year contract.
