Ultimate Cavatini Recipe-Easy and delicious pasta bake

  • In this video, I’m sharing my favorite cavatini recipe- a hearty and flavorful pasta bake packed with sausage, beef, pepperoni and plenty of cheese. It’s an easy to make dish perfect for family dinners or meal prep. Follow along to see how it’s made.
    Ingredients:
    1 lb ground beef
    1 lb Italian sausage
    1 small onion diced
    2 tsp minced garlic
    1 small green bell pepper diced
    3/4 cup chopped pepperoni
    2 tsp Italian seasoning
    2 cups fresh mushrooms chopped
    1 14.5 oz can of diced tomatoes with the juice
    1 24 oz jar of marinara sauce
    1 pound rotini pasta
    4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese divided
    1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese divided
    Preheat oven to 350
    Brown beef and sausage, onion, bell pepper, garlic, pepperoni and mushrooms. Cook until meat is fully cooked. Drain mixture and return to skillet and add tomatoes, marinara sauce and Italian seasoning, salt and pepper to taste. Simmer 5-7 minutes more.
    Cook pasta in salted boiling water until done approximately 12-15 minutes.
    In a large bowl combine cooked pasta and meat mixture and mix together thoroughly. Add half the mixture to a greased 10x14 pan. Sprinkle half the cheeses. Add remaining meat mixture and cheese to pan. Bake for approximately 20-30 minutes or until cheese is fully melted and bubbly.
    Makes a large serving, plenty for leftovers and meal preparation.
