    Your state of the art airflow testing system is one of my favorite parts of these screen reviews lol. I just installed a carbon fiber yoke on my Model 3 and Im still trying to decide which one I want... I feel like these screens are getting closer.. but I still havent found one Im totally in love with yet. Which one is your favorite so far Shiva?

      Glad you like them! Thank you so much for your support. TesStudio's 8.8" display is likely my best pick right now. I have that installed with a Yoke on my M3. I am about to review the same unit but with airvents built in and that may top the list due to airflow. Thank you.

      @ShivaSapkota how does the airflow differ with this versus the 8.8" ?
      And when is the other one who airvents coming out?

    Blind spot warning should be considered a basic feature too. Apple CarPlay and a front camera are important to me. Having automatic changes to the clock when daylight savings time changes is missing on my current ultra mini display. I don’t know why the time setting can’t be updated based on the car’s timekeeping. At the moment, I’m considering the 8.8 display you showed, but I’m still waiting for your review of the version that connects to the vent, to see if it gives good airflow including when you split the air direction. I’d also like to know if that 8.8 vent version might scuff the (white) dash piece over time. Keep up the great work!

    • @erichchan3
      @erichchan3 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      not only that but you risk a mechanical part failing but I get why they added it to try to address the AC airflow issue. Not only that but the display is only 3.9 inch which is impractical to display most information and have less features (ex: no AA/carplay and no front camera).

    Thanks for your thorough reviews Shiva.
    Nevertheless this product has completely missed the purpose of a driver instrument display: provide essential/useful information to the driver simply and unobtrusively. Now the driver must choose between HVAC and data - that’s foolishness.
    Though HUD‘s put the information closest to the driver’s line of sight those I have seen on the market are weak because they cannot compete with bright sunlight and do not deliver essential information - perhaps that technology is not yet available at a mass-market-acceptable price.
    Next best are some of the low-but-wide displays where the air simply blows over the top (but without distracting visual effects).
    I want information to make driving easier so I can drive better - not bells and whistles that impress children.
    Keep up the good work!

      I personally support this point of view. This is such a simple issue that I believe everyone understands it. However, I don’t get why TES is doing this. It’s very impactful for both SHIVA and TES. I really like what SHIVA is doing and will continue to follow their content, but I don’t want the quality to be affected by TES’s products. In sum, the video is excellent, but I don't support TES.

    Great video as always. Unfortunately, I think this product is a "miss." No touchscreen. Doesn't autodim or go to nightview at night. Doesn't replicate the key info from the main screen. Mixed metric and Imperial units. No Car play/Android Auto integration. Really needs the side camera view and blind spot warning too
    Most of all, I'd be concerned about the hinge mechanism breaking.
    Thank you for giving us a good, thorough look at this product.

    The amount of R&D that goes into these little touches t9 try make something that the manufacturers hasn't even given its customers is a lot. But still, users are not happy. If you can design something better, let's see it. Or everyone write to Tesla and ask for an instrument cluster or HUD.

    What's the point of a foldable display? Either you want the extra display and look at it while driving, or you don't want to add anything. When would you ever want to fold down a display if you bought one? Seems like a useless cost adding gimmick to make it foldable and motorized. It might look impressive the first few times you show it off to your friends and neighbours, but in reality, it serves no real purpose to make it foldable. It's a solution looking for a problem.
