They 6 year old bay mare is VERY nice. I like it that she's older and probably didn't do too much too early. You looked AMAZING on her--relaxed and confident. Size is perfect. I've known a number of Connie/TB crosses and they have all been sensible and athletic. For me, it's between the birdcatcher spot grey from the AM, this mare, and grey #2 from Day 1. 🙂
DEFINITELY the 6 year old bay mare! She's the breeding you want, she's low mileage so as you said, you can produce her as you want but can just crack on straight away. Plus she went the best on the flat & you looked in total harmony with her straight away. She was defo a keeper!
Im not even done with the video but i really feel like megs taking that 6 year old bay home, hearing her talk about her and seeing her jumping into the water and everything, they just mesh so well!! Also the half connemara is just perfect
As someone who bought a 8yr old plain bay mare that had not done many of her 'firsts' - the 6yr old is my #1 out of all you've shown - what a gorgeous blank canvas with such raw talent!
Full disclosure, I love a plain bay mare❤ She is so elegant and fancy! The first shot of her trotting was incredible! She was round over her back and her whole body, she was on the bit and she stayed that way into the canter. I think you could actually get her out next year. She has my heart for sure 💓
Loved the first mare, the dark grey, she just seemed to float along. I couldn't believe she is only 4. She seemed very honest, and was balanced in her paces. Going to be a hard choice at the end of your trip!
The 6 year old is my absolute favorite. You looked so confident and relaxed on her, she's the breeding you want, and she's ready to get going. She is absolutely fab and my honest favorite
The fact the bay mare gave you confidence and made you feel like you could ride really says everything. I think that’s exactly what you need at this point in your riding journey - plus she’s the perfect size, breeding and temperament to boot! Rooting for her 100%. I also love a sensible six - they’re lovely as more matured than a 4 year old but still so malleable! Very exciting times for you Meg! Xx
@@NayCollison What a childish reply. I've been subscribed to her channel for years, but there will be new people who will be watching this video for the first time. It's called being considerate.

I can't imagine a more perfect horse than the six year old bay mare coming along in this trip and impressing you more. That smile in your voice on the VO! She's beautiful in every way and you loved riding her--you were practically beaming about her! She was clearly having a great time as well, seems like a natural on xc. I agree her being six isn't that big a deal since she hasn't been over-faced or pushed much. I can just image her and Winnie coming up together. She already feels like she could just fit right into the family. So long as her feet and xrays didn't have any surprises, and a literal Pegasus didn't fly down from the sky on the last day of the trip, I gotta bet she's coming home...
Oh my gosh, in LOVE with the 6yo dark bay. She's stunning + you rode her beautifully. You can defo see the two of you out on that XC course smashing it together. I know there’s still two more videos to go (!!) but she’s officially the one I’m rooting for!
You and the 6 year old Bay look like you were meant to be! The striding was so perfect and you both looked so happy and confident with each other. I think she’ll be such a good confidence giver for you and in turn you’ll produce her amazingly like your others xx 🎉
oh wow! both mares are beautiful! I do think the grey makes gorgeous shape over the fences, lovely natural movement too! Really nice to see such a genuine youngster, would be wonderful to produce. Amazing to see how well she recovered after that little wobble, very honest. Bay is very sweet too, I definitely see the Connemara in her and you rode her beautifully! Also lovely to see how versatile she is, very bold over the rustic fences. Definitely seems like a confidence giver, and ready to crack on with!! Although I must say the grey mare has my eye.. adore her way of going and really think she exudes potential! Two very quality girls!!
That six-year-old mare would be an awesome horse for you! She's really solid under saddle, over all types of jumps, and she is so gorgeous. She seemed really sweet too.❤
Honestly the bay mare just looks such a PERFECT match for you. You were so in sync and you looked so comfortable on her. She looks so athletic, I'm obsessed!
The 6 year old dark bay mare is absolutely lovely, and I think she could be a great fit at your yard(like you said Meg). Can't go wrong with a bay mare. Her gaits are beautiful, and she is so honest to the jumps.
Irish horsewomen and men are showcasing their skill in breeding/ sourcing & producing their wonderful horses spoilt for choice Meg! .The grey mare was my personal favourite here but the bay mare is more established and there is always an unexpainable connection we have with the right horse a feeling its an untangable thing . That will be the horse you come home with xxxx The Bay mare xx
I love that spotted grey mare for you!! She was sooooo darn sweet and willing to please you! 😊❤ The 6-y.o. dark bay mare at Ardeo also looks soooo right for you! Such a nice and lovely horse, you could go ev-e-ry-whe-re on her. ❤😊😊 Thanks for taking us with you. 🥰❤️
I watched the video of you riding Hollys horse Kahl, and you two fit together so well. Honestly that bigger broader build he had worked with you so well and you looked amazing together.
Im not even half way in to the video, only just seen the first mare. But OMG Meg, she is the one. You look like you both were a match made In heaven, like you had been training together for years. I know you were looking at a chesnut possibly but she is just way too stunning and smart. Cannot wait to see more!!
Meg, It seems like you are having so much fun in Ireland. Of the horses we saw today the grey mare was an absolute stunner, I thought she rode well, you looked so good on her, she is only a 4 year old but really didn't seem to be as babyish as most 4yr olds. I felt although you had a bit of a hiccup she seemed to trust you and jumped beautifully for you. On the other hand the bay mare was also lovely. You seemed to gel with her more and I think one big advantage with her is you could be competing on her next year. Both horses were lovely but I think you will pick the bay one out of the two. Lots of love to all. Jill, Birmingham U.K. XXXXXXXXX
Hi Meg, you looked so at home on the bay mare, she made you look amazing and she took care of you, don’t worry about her age she has all the education and talent to go to babminton, so think of the future and what the two of you could do together. Unstoppable
immediately that dark bay, she is something wonderful, and you two look like you've been riding together for years. She reminds me a lot of my Jim, a horse that hasn't done much but somehow can boost your confidence because they just have those hearts that are so forgiving and so understanding and so loving, that very much one on one horse. I know I keep mentioning my leg, but before I got on Jim to ride again, he stood by the fence and gently rubbed against my leg, not his usual, Brookie is a scratching post and I loves her, almost as if to say, "hey, its going to be okay, I know it's different now,". Bearing in mind, my guy is a hong kong raced thoroughbred at least 16'3H tall, so you know long way to fall, and unfortunately it was him I came off when I did in my leg. I was terrified, I was shaking with fear, as my CPTSD flashbacked to the accident. But that fear was not of him, but hey year off doing nothing, I sat on him bareback for the first time in his entire sodding life for a few minutes the week before and now I was expecting him to carry a saddle, carry his broken rider, and even more so, remember all of the bitless cues I taught him while being in a place he's only been up to twice. And, I went from, no I'll only walk, to, oh lets try a trot, laazy trot, but still a trot, and as he got into it, he jumped into his trot, like his great uncle used to do when he was happy, and needless to say the tears came flowing as the feeling of love and security flowed between us, as if Jim was saying, "See Brookie, you still can do this, we can do this". Then, when all was said and done, I asked him to walk back to his paddock, he could have run for home, but Jim instead took the lead, relaxed and walked happily back, even pulled up to where he had been tied previously and stood there, waiting for me to be ready to get off, and even turned his head when I landed on the ground, to be honest, much easier getting off of the big ones for me than the little ones, I had to grab onto him when I landed because my legs were jelly and he just took it all in stride, being attentive and cuddly. And it is those horses that can take us so far, and I see that with that dark bay mare with you, she took care of you, and you looked so good, and I'm adamant it was her face I saw a few times on your stories on Instagram. I reckon she's the one you went and saw twice and I firmly believe she's the one you came home with.
Absolutely love the first mare, it sounds like you already have a connection with her and you move so amazingly together NOW I FEEL THE SAME ABOUT THE SECOND MARE AHHHHH ok unironically ive fallen in love with the bay
Gosh Megan there’s something about you and that bay mare that cannot be put into words. You guys just gel so much and she looks like she completely gets you!!!!❤
Its really Lovely as an Irish person to see you so fond of our horses 😇 they really are great and those yards you've been to are a great example of how horses should be treated and produced 💞 I particularly love the Irish draft horses as they are just so genuine with a great temperment. The 6 year old was gorgeous, she looked very thoroughbred but obviously has the Connie brain. The perfect combination 🥳🤞 looking forward to the rest of your journey 🤗
I think the Sligo candy boy mare is FAB. Lovely demeanour and moves lovely. I’ve used Sligo candy before on my mares and the foals have been real sweethearts and you look great on her!
That 6 year old bay was absolutely beautiful. Yall looked really great together! Both looked fantastic but my personal favorite is definitely that bay. She seemed to really take care of you and seemed to very much give you a confidence boost which I always think is important in a horse 💗
The 6yo brown/bay mare is my choice! You were riding sooooooooooooooo confidently on her and having so much fun. Also, with all these different horses you've ridden your riding is just *chefs kiss*. You really "got back on the horse" and have come back stronger than ever!
Both of today’s are definite favourites! The bay is a horse you could (and did) sit on comfortably and be bold from the off, but she’s in some ways quite similar to your current girls in size etc. You also looked fantastic on the grey and saw how she reacts under pressure; there’s so much potential for growth for both of you in that relationship
I am definitely rooting for the 6 year old bay mare, she is the perfect age and she is the breeding you want. You can produce her the way you want as she is still low mileage and you looked so good on her straight away, she is the perfect fit.
1000000% the 6yr bay mare! What an absolute stunner! Love the grey too but the way you rode the bay gave me butterflies, you gel so well and look such a fab partnership already! I think the more you get to know each other the more you’ll know how to spice her up! Also the no white is a massive bonus for an easier life 🤣🥰xxx
Have to say I absolutely love the 6yr old Mare. She's my favourite out of all them so far and it'd have to take something pretty special to change my mind. I Loved her in every way!! 😊
Honestly, the seal bay mare would be perfect I think. She makes you feel confident and comfortable, I think that would be amazing to have. Also she’s just gorgeous✨
I love both of them but I have to say I love the 4 year old's colouring and attitude to learn and please 💗 I do however think Meg is taking the bay home as they just clicked so well with each other 🤩
In love with that bay mare!! She was so willing to do anything and everything. Meg was talking about her in such a sweet way, I think they’re perfect together honestly! Can’t wait to see who you bring home Meg!! ❤
Omg!!! The grey mare is to die for!!! You looked great on her. The bay looked nice and you suited her too, just like the grey more! The dark bay from yesterday's video is still lush too!! Can't wait to see whichever you pick ❤🍀
The 6 yo mare... that's the one Meg. That's the one for sure. I might be biased because the moment i saw her she reminded me of a little horse I competed for a while, but she looks fantastic and 6yo is such a good age to start producing into higher level stuff.
The 6 year old was my favourite so far. Glad you are enjoying your time in Ireland so much! How many more vlogs do we get before we find out who comes home?! Thoroughly enjoying the journey!
This series is SO much fun!! It was my childhood dream to buy a horse, but it wasn't feasible. Finally I get to go horse shopping (just without the cost😂). Thanks for taking us along Meg, I'm totally invested, not just in this series but in the future of whichever horse you get. 😊
The little bay and you looked so at ease. While you might prefer the "hotter to start" horses, that polite, athletic girl could both be the raw talent you're looking for to go up in levels, but also the confidence boost to do so. A 6yo with a SOLID base who has had time to grow into herself without doing too much, and with talent like that is definitely something to hold onto.
Absolutely love the 6 year old, you could just see how she was able to shorten and lengthen her gallop. She also had a verry nice head carriage and nice movements. I have no doubts that she would be an amazing event horse. 👍 I also have a TB x Connnie and he is 22 and still going strong, so I absolutely recommend buying a TB x Connie for that reason.🙂
I couldn't click fast enough. I really loved the bay mare from today. You looked the most confident on her, you looked good on her, she jumped everything that you asked her to, and she took care of you. I like her the best out of the horses you've tried so far. You're riding has been great as usual Meg!!
I gotta say that at first I was totally rooting for the first grey in this vid but once I saw the bay I fell in love. Omgggggggg I would snatch her so fast❤
I 100% think the bay mare suits you the best. She has very good potential for eventing and is very brave and as you said she made you feel like you can ride and at the end of the day that’s all you really want in a horse 🐴
I love the horses you tried in that video. Both suit you so well! But I think the 6yo would be the best bc you could do more things with her bc of her age. You also look very confident on her which is very important to 🥰
Both the mares you ride today are fabulous, I love the way the grey mare moves and has such a great attitude. The bay has a terrific attitude as well and you look great on her and she is of an age that you can really get going with her plus you really seemed to mesh well with her!
I'm rooting for the 6 year old bay tb cross. It is what you were looking for and the fact that you felt a connection and comfortable says alot. 🤞 this girly is coming back to you soon!!!!
Love the Bay Mare. You looked like an immediate partnership. So pretty. AND she whickered to you when you first walked onto the yard. Oh my god the suspense is killing me 😂
Not even done watching yet nut: I absolutely adore the 6 yo mare! She looks, moves and jumps wonderful. Really like how the two of you went round aswell. She looked so sweet, sensible, secure and genuine. I personally love that in a horse more so than them being hot. There's a bit of lean way in training hotness (responsiveness) with a sensible horse whereas a hotheaded one who also happens to be a natural daredevil that's something else entirely. The latter type brings fun challenges but a ride like that 6 yo may be a breath of fresh air especially when pursuing higher lvls that might come with some extra nerves. So far all the ponies have been really nice but this 6yo kinda reminds me of my own horse and how he got me back into jumping purely because he was such a sensible horse. Good luck with your pick, you sure rode a nice group of horses 🤩😍
The 6 year old mare is so calm and collected she was very stable and patient calm she wasnt hesatint approaching a jump she put a soft place in my heart and i would love to see her on your channel but ofcourse its your choice not ours but in my opinion that mare gave you the confidence and showed your talent my favorite thing about her was she didnt charge at the jump she didnt spook at anything and for a 6 year old she is very well built and has good manners i would love a horse who loves being a horse but she was just amazing so we will see what happens im rooting for her love you guys cant wait to see the next video❤
HelloMeg, Boy do I ever love that Brown Six Year Old Mare, the Connemara Thoroughbred Cross. You looked super on her, I could tell that you seemed to suit each other so well. I am truly hoping that so far she is on your short list of the horses that you are really considering. I would absolutely be lost as to what you should do. You have been shown so many lovely horses, and I don’t think that you have seen them all yet. I hope that the two friends that have gone to Ireland with you are going to give you lots of very good advice so that you will be very happy with your final decision. As you know for sure purchasing a young horse that you are going to put a lot of time into training and getting ready for the Events that you want to compete in is going to occupy much of your time and your will surely want to make the correct decision. I cannot wait to see who you bring home. Whoever it is I will be here cheering you both on and hoping to see the pair or you at Badminton when you are both ready. Take Care, make a smashing choice. Your big fan Jane. ❤️🧑🏻🦰❤️🐴
The bay I’m definitely rooting for the bay you guys totally clicked and you looked so comfortable on her and I think she would make a great addition to your yard
Oh, they're all lovely, I don't know how you decide! Though you did speak so happily about riding the bay, and looked like you were grinning while you were riding, I think that might have sealed it for me.
I absolutely love both of them. They both move beautifully and both look sensible, but still a fun ride with a lot of energy and "spark". And they definitely look confidence-giving despite their ages, IMO. I think you'd have a great partnership with either, but as Simon said, you did look "at home" on the bay. I think the grey just has a "fairytale horse" sort of look to her and that's what I'm a sucker for 😝 I can't wait to see who you bring home (assuming you do!) 🥳💖
They 6 year old bay mare is VERY nice. I like it that she's older and probably didn't do too much too early. You looked AMAZING on her--relaxed and confident. Size is perfect.
You SHINED! On the 6 year old. I’m rooting for you two, she will be such a confidence builder and safety spot for you. Pick her!
That 6yr old bay mare is absolutely stunning! You looked like you had so much fun with her 😍
I am definitely rooting for the 6 year old bay mare, she is the perfect age and she is the breeding you want. You can produce her the way you want as she is still low mileage and you looked so good on her straight away, she is the perfect fit.
The 6 year old for you! Ashe gave you so much confidence and you looked amazing on her. There is definitely a bond growing
My favorite of all the horses so far was probably the dark grey 4yo. Her movement was absolutely gorgeous and she seemed to have a good mind.
I love both of them but I have to say I love the 4 year old's colouring and attitude to learn and please 💗 I do however think Meg is taking the bay home as they just clicked so well with each other 🤩
The last mare is stunning. You two work so nicely and she would fit with the other Elphick Ponies. She clearly has a good brain and works lovely
I loved the first horse so much. She was so sweet and gave you confidence even after the bad stride jump
Second favorite was the 6yo bay
In love with that bay mare!! She was so willing to do anything and everything. Meg was talking about her in such a sweet way, I think they’re perfect together honestly! Can’t wait to see who you bring home Meg!! ❤
Omg!!! The grey mare is to die for!!! You looked great on her. The bay looked nice and you suited her too, just like the grey more! The dark bay from yesterday's video is still lush too!! Can't wait to see whichever you pick ❤🍀
LOVED the Connemara/TB cross; you looked so natural on her!
The 6 yo mare... that's the one Meg. That's the one for sure. I might be biased because the moment i saw her she reminded me of a little horse I competed for a while, but she looks fantastic and 6yo is such a good age to start producing into higher level stuff.
I have a feeling that the 6 year old bay mare will be arriving at your barn soon! she’s a beauty
The 6 year old was my favourite so far. Glad you are enjoying your time in Ireland so much! How many more vlogs do we get before we find out who comes home?! Thoroughly enjoying the journey!
Meg , you should so get the Bay at Ardeo because you had such a good connection with her and you looked amazing on her too ❤️🐎
This series is SO much fun!!
That 6 year old bay mare is absolutely stunning and by far my favorite you've ridden so far. She's just gorgeous!
You also look very confident on her which is very important to 🥰
That Ardeo 6 yo brown horse ❤❤❤ she is gorgeous and you look so good on her + your comments make me feel like it’s a very good match !!!
Oh my god the suspense is killing me 😂
You looked so at home and comfortable on the bay mare! Shed lovely
Agreed!!
Oh my that first girl was stunning and you guys looked so well suited!
The Connie X TB bay mare is gorgeous; and could see how much fun and how relaxed you were popping those XC jumps and water with her 🐴💕👏🏻
I'm even more excited to go shopping in Ireland next year now, im a big fan of the Ardeo horses, they are on my list 😊
HelloMeg,
Boy do I ever love that Brown Six Year Old Mare, the Connemara Thoroughbred Cross.
It’s the bay mare, the way you got confidence and the twinkle in your eyes said so much!
The bay I’m definitely rooting for the bay you guys totally clicked and you looked so comfortable on her and I think she would make a great addition to your yard
You look brilliant on the six year old, she’s super sweet and you really clicked with her. Rooting for her!!
I love the bay, she was so lovely and without seeing the end she was my pick! You look so good together!
You definately look confident and happy on the Bay in my opinion! And she was so good and seemed really sweet 🥺
Love the bay you look really comfortable on her ❤
I really hope you brought the 6 year old bay mare you looked amazing together xx
You and that bay mare made a lovely pair, you worked beautifully together!! Xx
Jumping on the BAY BANDWAGON! She is adorable!
The bay is just beautiful, looks and personality 😍
The bay mare looks stunning! Seems like she would be a really good fit for you :) I liked the grey one too very cute.
The 6 year old bay is amazing you both worked amazing together I feel like she would be the perfect match and you both could go a long way!
That 6 y/o I think you would be silly not to get. You were so relaxed and happy and smiling!
The 6yo dark bay mare was very very nice! You looked great on her and she moves really nicely, I reckon she’d fit in well at your yard ❤️
Oh, they're all lovely, I don't know how you decide! Though you did speak so happily about riding the bay, and looked like you were grinning while you were riding, I think that might have sealed it for me.
The 6 year old bay was amazing. You looked so good on her as well.
I absolutely love both of them. They both move beautifully and both look sensible, but still a fun ride with a lot of energy and "spark". And they definitely look confidence-giving despite their ages, IMO.
I think you'd have a great partnership with either, but as Simon said, you did look "at home" on the bay.
I think the grey just has a "fairytale horse" sort of look to her and that's what I'm a sucker for 😝
I can't wait to see who you bring home (assuming you do!) 🥳💖
