Ever since I was a kid listening to Della Reese cut loose with this song on her album "Della," I have been wishing that I would someday watch her perform this live on TV. It was a long time coming but...wish fulfilled. Thanks a million, TH-cam!
I became hooked on music shortly after WWII and there have been quite a few greats who were relatively little known and yes, Della was one of them. So was Jaye P Morgan and Eartha Kitt. Even more so was Big Maybelle. But none were ever really 'underrated' by any who heard them.

This was the closing number on Della's awesome 1960 RCA album titled "Della". I should know as I probably wore out two vinyl copies of this top favorite album! This last number on the original vinyl release really leaves you in a great mood as the whole album literately puts you into orbit by the time this number closes out the recording! Even though she is a Reverend now and is doing fine work close to her heart , I'd bet money that even in her Eighties she is still a 101% fine singer who I still wish would revisit some of this kind of music on a new recording for us fans at least one last time!
