you can bind turtle mode to C1: double press. So if you single press C1 the drone will beep to help you locate it, and a double tap will activate Turtle.
Manual feels so much more gratifying to fly and the movement feel a lot more deliberate and smooth imo. First couple flights IRL manual after about 7 hours in a sim and I'm loving it. Haven't tried any dives, flips, split S, or anything quite yet but soon I'll be trying some of these
..... Fine.... I'll fly my Avata 2 again with my FPV controller..... I think you're right though - I just need to dedicate more time.... the motion controller is so fun though.
Definitely agree that the motion controller is fun, but now it’ll only be used when friends and family want to fly it. After getting to manual, there’s no going back.
@@VantagePointImagesI am still just practicing in the simulator, but I feel like I will still use the motion controller when I want to explore the forests around me. Since their isba lot of twigs and brush i glhsve to dodge. With hovering and being completely still super hard in manual, I probably wount use it much for that. But I am still learning for when I go out to more open areas so I can freestyle
I mostly use the DJI FPV drone and have been playing with the controller settings to better match what I have the drone set up as. I continue to tweak the controller settings. The Dquad LRX (no clue what that stands for) felt similar as well. It’s fun to try them all.
That was with no filter and the sun was behind the drone. Not quite sure why it looked like a spotlight. I am using Freewell ND filters now which should solve for that and get better motion blur.
I just ordered the controller, I’m so excited to start practicing
II love how the baseball fields look like the Avata 2

Wait till you get a custom fpv quad. The experience is much crazier and better.
Cool... I need a drone.
Nice Guitars! Suggestion... Do a Lake Jesup shore fly by.

Nice video. You did great first time experiencing flying in manual mode. Please adavise what was the simulator that you are using.
I use Liftoff.
Thanks for posting! Which model drone in Liftoff did you find was most similar to the Avata 2?

I've got an Avata 2 myself, so thanks for sharing. Does somebody know why there is this bright spot in the picture like @5:17 and onwards?
i think that is the sun reflecting off the grass.. in AZ i get that often on my mini 3
also needs an ND filter or at least a UV filter to remove that

@@VantagePointImages Yeah it was the same sitation for me: sun behind the drone and still this weird "spotlight". So no lens flare or something.
What simulator app did you use?
I use Liftoff.
Drone good. Cat better.
I got to try the Avata 2 in the liftoff simulator and compared to something like the babyhawk 03 it flies like a brick
what simulator is that, thinking of getting an avata 2 as well
It’s Liftoff and it definitely helped!!
I would recommend trying to push to 70 mph as 40 is like normal drone speed
Which simulator did you use?
Yes I’m interested too as DJI don’t have a simulator for avata 2 as they do for avata 1
Yep, found out as well that the DJI simulator does not work with the Avata 2. I am using Liftoff.
Liftoff is it on steam. Can you provide a link
@@opinions551 , it is on Steam.
@@VantagePointImages cant find it the one i find will not download no. is it dji liftoff.
will the drone lose self-balance in manual mode?
Yes it does. The pause button puts it in normal mode which is awesome. It’s already saved a few crashes.
what simulator ? thankyou.
I use Liftoff.
