So do you guy's like this kind of video format of just me or should there be more edits?
I preferred the other one but this is fine
I’ve always been a fan of the coldhearted truth so keep doing what you’re doing.
I think the ones about the military being good is fun to watch
Bruh my only real question, not Motivation but is how much will I earn my first year?
The other ones being more edited do feel more professional and less like some random guy in the military talking about his experience and more of a valid explanation. Even though both are valid explanations as long as they actually explain. But one just feels more trustable. Also I think you should try and step out of the just talking category and maybe start going into stuff like "my diet as a Army Soldier", or "My workout routine in the military". Just more content ideas and maybe more informative in other ways. I like all your videos but everyone can improve more and more.
I just realized he is using a spatula.
Respect.
I noticed that also.

Me too but I'm 17 so I have to have my mom enlist and she's a little scared for now. But We've already spoken with a recruiter and I've done my research. I'm excited to go achieve my dream!

@@Baconcatboy Go for it BRO!!!!!!
I can’t lie bro im 22 same age as you, thought that I knew it all and couldn’t accomplish as much as I’ve wanted for the reasons you stated bills and no funds to buy courses, but you’ve been a big inspiration gonna join the airforce or army and get my life back on track.
same situation as you bro see you out there man go for it
Young man keep doing what you are doing I’m a Army Veteran 13B10 a matter of fact I was stationed in Korea for 1978 to 1979 at Camp Stanley and rotated in and out of 4 Papa 1 on the DMZ. Your content is a good look into life as a soldier I can relate! Some days are long and grimy and some are hurried up and wait!! And I’ve seen you cover both so. The army is something I’m proud of and still talk about the experience mainly because of our unit we all become very close!!
Means a lot. Truly!
@@AaronbTV you know I’ve been kicking myself in the behind because I didn’t do 20 and retired. I was 17 when I enlisted I would’ve been 37 with full retirement in the bank. I used my GI bill to go to college I finished up at 32 because of marriage, kids and bills! Then started retirement all over and I have partners that did the 20 years and got out at 37 with their degree with no worries about retirement because it is already covered and they have full time jobs making 6 figures! These brothers are doing it!!
My dad was in Korea for 13 months 70-71…. He passed away. He was an E-4. Never got to ask him what it was like over there. Would you happen to know what it was like at the DMZ during that time…. Thank you for your service
@@alixflint3589 it was pretty tough back then a lot of things were happening that didn’t get reported I think President George Bush JR. signed the Korea Defense Service Medal KDSM that allows us to join the VFW (Veterans Of Foreign Wars) meaning they declassified our mission after we turned over the DMZ defense to the Koreans I think late 90s or 2000s. That place was very primitive back then and the North Korea first leader was in power which is Kim’s Grandfather!!
That's exactly my reason to join the military. I want to make something of myself. I want to Aim High and Rise Above!

My kids have specifically watched ones on the cons and not the pros because I want them to realize it's going to be hard. I'd rather them join knowing it's NOT fun. But can be beneficial
It’s nice to have a mix of the raw videos and the more edited, quick hitting kind of facts or vlogging. I appreciate all your content and have for about 5 months now. Thank you man keep going
Big ups Bruh! Diggin the vids B! I’m heading out to Reception Tomorrow! I’m the old bruh at 37, signed up for 15Q. Bless G!

The army gave my uncle experimental vaccines in the early 2000s, they gave him vaccines for ANTHRAX. my uncle has been suffering from parkinsons for years now.
Im 23 & im currently thinking about joining the army, i still havent talked to a recruiter yet. Im still doing alot of research before considering it, ive followed you for awhile and i enjoy all your videos and i appreciate you taking the time to tell us the not so pretty side of the army, this is a video that ive been searching for because most people talk about ONLY the good stuff and thats great but i need to know what im going to go through NOT just the good stuff, i know there isnt anyway to fully predict what im gonna be doing but i at least would like to know the common stuff that tends to happen to everyone and thats what u did here! Thank you so much!
I’m the same age i go to boot camp on July 22nd. If you make up your mind try to score as high as possible so you get a wide range of jobs. Just to get good transferable skills. Just beware lol, once you swear that oath and sign that contract there’s no turning back from that point.

The leave policy suck. And the fact that civilian control my pay really pisses me off.
Can you elaborate further? What do you mean civilian controls pay?
This don’t makes sense lowkey
I've been watching for a while and I'm glad you made this content :) It really influenced me to push myself out of my comfort zone to join the military (specifically the army) so it's nice to see your positives and also the possible cons.
Your experiences and expressing them have made me feel more comfortable about joining. I'm in high school (first year) so I have a long way to go but I'm hoping for the best, especially when I finally find something interesting, but it's a process 🙌
So. I thank you for making the videos. It's really nice.
I’m enlisting in the army. This video def helped and I do like the whole not editing thing. Also can you do a video on how to deal with toxic leadership?
Really not much you can do to deal with toxic leadership (and in the army you will have really toxic commanders who will do things like send you to the field more to make themselves look good so they can get promoted to the next officer rank, and that includes sending soldiers to the field on crutches) except take it day by day until your contract comes up, which means it's a good idea to sign the shortest contract possible .
@@golfery5119facts they can make or break the experience, I haven’t been to the field since basic but I’ve seen inadequate leadership hinder peoples careers, find mentors and stick with them
if i had a dollar every time you said "you feel me" i would be rich man😭
And “bro” lol
Ima break down n ima cry a bit but you deff right its only hurts you i can never give up man
i think my comment came off wrong. I was initially replying to someone saying they just took the asvab and are joining because your life looked like so much fun. Which is why i simply stated it’s not all like your videos, *because* of what you said in this vid, that your vids are highly edited and obviously are going to be showing the best parts.
Don’t get me wrong dawg i love your vids and the information you have given for people trying to join is a major role in why i joined not going to lie. You didnt deceive me at all as you were trying your best to give people all the information but when someone sees a video of your life in korea (very above average military experience) i was simply warning that they may want to rethink and look at some of the downsides too (reason why this is actually a pretty good video to make)
I’ve been subbed for a while and actually met you at the waukegan recruiting office so you may remember that i’m not far into my army journey (essentially saying i don’t have all the experience in the world, in fact far from it) so i don’t want to make it seem like you’re trying to misinform/ just get people to join.
you good bro, your comment was just the most recent one along the lines of that. I remember you actually. Hope you're well
My parents basically forced me to join. Right out of highschool they was tryna kick me out and I had no license, no car, lived 12 miles outside the nearest city to even get a job. It was either be homeless and struggle to find a place to stay or join the army and hope for a better start in life. And damn did I fuck myself over
Sorry brother
Every complaint or criticism this side had about the military can be said about a job in the civilian world. It’s actually worse for unskilled labor which most people are that enlist in the military. A small percentage of people actually get everything they can get out of the military while the majority that were shit birds before they joined remain shit birds while serving and then return back to the streets a slightly more disciplined shit bird.
I got kicked out of Space force after graduating cus they found out I had a scar that ended up being a autoimmune that doesn't affect my work but they threw a huge fit over and wouldnt approve waiver.
I’ve been watching your channel for some years now, you do a great job. I joined last year and now I’m in Korea first duty station, love it. Keep up the good work Corporal

Watching Your videos assisted me in deciding what branch I’d want to join & how I can improve myself while in & out of the military.
This format for your video is great; the raw footage for these types of video is perfect.
For less serious content; edits would make it more playful.
Military easy. The only job you can be late too multiple times, be sick multiple times and still not be fired. I been in for 15 years, traveled to 17 different countries deployed 5 times 3 of them combat l, I been to 6 different states. Dude this is easiest job ever, you will get promoted by just existing. They will pay you to live out in town and for your food. I sit and do nothing and have others do my job for me.
Civsw like to say you’ll get dragged out of bed or court martialed if you’re late to work lmao
The only guy I knew that was court martialed for being late to work, was passed out on coke at his home out in town.

Love the videos bro
Just to put this out there each branch has their own unique experience. Army has a more strict approach & have a huge focus on armory, Marines the most disciplined & most lethal combative branch, Air Force is air-to-air, air-to-ground combat with the biggest job market to support each base where the jets are parked. Navy is the most specific to Sea & Air to Air combat/expeditionary combat
I go into Army basic training on May 28th!!!! Also I am going to serve for 20t years!!!!! And eventually become a 2LT!!!! And than a Captain!!!! But if I like 2LT than I am staying into 2LT!!! Either way I am going to become a 2LT!!!! I am going to work hard!!!!😤😤❤️❤️😤🤩😆

8:31 "cant even put your hands in your pockets" nowadays that is specific to the army and marines.
The other branches now allow their members to put their hands in their pockets (although i cant imagine them doing so while talking to superiors).
The Air force also, from what ive seen with my own eyes from working with them, lets their members also untuck their PT shirts (whenever they even do PT to be wearing a PT uniform).
While im not completely sure about this, i have with my own eyes, saw someone in a navy uniform yse an umbrella in the rain. know in the army definitely you better not be seen carrying an umbrella in uniform. I was yelled for wearing my hoodie on my rainjacket in the rain one time too, which is also something you probably wouldnt see with the other branches. Soldiers in the army would rather just let themselves get soaked in the rain instead of putting the goddamned hoodie thats on their rain jacket.

Basic training and AIT is the easiest thing you will do in your military career, when you get to your first unit you’ll realize how much it really sucks, but some people have it good depending on on the unit but it’s ass when you really realize your rights have been practically stripped away
@@ZennithZXI got lucky, I got a great unit and a great duty station,we do need to get better at quality of life for soldiers tho
Hey man what part of the army did you enlist through? I was thinking about inlisting as a infantry man but idk I’m lost on what to do
I'm a 68E Dental specialist, choose a job that's good in the civ world too
If you know you have the mental capacity and warrior's mentality to be an infanteer and go way beyond what is expected of you, then do it. Hone your mind and soul on it. If you're lost on that idea, if you aren't willing, if it's just a job to you, then you should reconsider a career that goes into civ life.
Go infantry. Get that bonus, Go option 40 (RASP), reclass when your window opens up. Do “some cool guy stuff” and then reclass to cyber/signal if you’re still worried about life after the military. First thing is pick a job that you see yourself enjoying.

When you say diploma do you mean HS, GED or college? Navy doesn't need HS/GED as of march 2024 so technically you could sign up with them if you wanted to rn. But most branches just need the certificate/diploma. There isn't a waiting period after you get it so you can sign up immediately when you complete it.

It’s the ged btw…
Nothing wrong with the navy actually that’s the first branch I was thinking about not knowing too much about the military or the batches but what I really want to to is enlist pass the asvab and stay on base after basic training and all that stuff I really want a branch we’re I could basically stay while on duty not just a reserve or someone that stays off base want to be dedicated and locked in
