    The difference is night and day while ben q makes good esports monitors quality just isn't there with 4k it should be for the price I wonder how the Samsung g8 stacks against the cooler master tempest I'm looking for a new monitor setup.

    Benq is the best monitor in this comparison, because it doesn't have the disadvantages that are found in an oled screen. on an oled monitor you can't see anything in dark scenes, on an IPS matrix you can see everything perfectly, with less contrast, how so ?

  • @barryjones2366
    @barryjones2366 ปีที่แล้ว +18

    Weird how you didn't see the massive difference in the colours between the samsung and benq, the samsung looked much more inaccurate and oversaturated compared to the more natural looking colours of the benq. The samsung looked cartoonish in comparison. So did you check to see if you could make them be a closer match first? Maybe the samsung was using native colour space and the benq was using natural?
    Can you do another short video comparing with better colour matching for it's settings? IPS should be better here and there than a VA panel since some can reach a higher rec2020 colour space than even the alienware qd-oled. But on camera they should look identical I would have thought.
    Black levels are no contest, 1200 zones compared to what 16 on the benq?
    And you didn't mention anything about scanlines on such a high refresh monitor like other reviewers....?
    Also worth correcting is the Neo G7 and G8 can't reach 2000 nits in normal content only in benchmarks by cheating.....the most hardware unboxed measured was 1250 nits for a bright highlight and around 350 nits full screen white. Which is much more than the benq but still samsung common! People will find out. Still you get alot more performance for $US300 extra, proper HDR (black levels and brightness) with a faster panel.

    • @JoelsterG4k
      @JoelsterG4k  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes I can see the difference, the BenQ monitor locks out any picture adjustments when using HDR so there is nothing I can do to adjust the image, on the contrary the samsung G8 offers a robust set of options to make adjustments, I showed that on my previous video, in this video I used Cinema preset which I liked but you can customize everything to your preference.
      So far I have not seen any ghosting nor scan lines while using 240hz mode like others have reported but if I do I will mention it and show in a video.

    • @DevineGamingTV
      @DevineGamingTV ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@JoelsterG4k He said the Benq looked the most natural. It doesn't matter how many adjustments the Samsung has, it still looks innaccurate in it's color reproduction. You couldn't edit photos on the Samsung, you could edit photos on the Benq.

    What are the black levels like in COD Warzone inside buildings? They have dark skins and players hide pretty well in dark corners. Which of these 2 monitors display those dark spots better? Is there black crush on the Samsung?

    In my country Ex 3210 is more expensive than sony x85j 55 inch, Samsung frame 55 inch and LG nano 91 all are 120 hz tv and HDR 600 and above. Benq pricing is total bonkers for a monitor of that specs here.

      I have the BenQ EX3210R and the Samsung G8 (similar to G7), yes there is a big difference, first the G7 is a 4k monitor that supports up to 165hz, it is much brighter and black levels and contrast are far superior in HDR, I know is much more expensive but it is worth the difference.

    WOW, BenQ next to Samsung looks like it died week ago and nobody informed him about that
    Ok for real Samsung is crushing dark areas, like some parts are not visible when BenQ displays dark details clearly in min 4:00 HDR on Samsung is crushing dark details and losing details and HDR means to see details in dark and bright areas...
    This BenQ is peaking to 500nits but 27” version EX2710U is able to produce 700+nits…

      No, you are way too used to IPS trash. You got scammed, sorry for you. IPS is trash. High-end TVs use VA or OLED panels, not IPS 800:1 trash, like $50 tablets. You bought a $50 tablet.

      I also just got the BenQ x3210U and I am of the same opinion as yours, I am a little bit unsure to get the Neo G8 because I don’t know what I am going to get, so many bad reviews over the quality control.
      My BenQ is Ok tho sometimes during the day the colors are lacking.

    • @xellaz
      @xellaz ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Hronis Kostopoulos You have to calibrate the Neo G8 to make it look great. Most people that don't care about color accuracy would just use "Cinema Mode" on the G8 and this will make things appear over saturated. Also "contrast enhancer" is the main culprit for "black crush" effect so I have this disabled. Once I have the Neo G8 correctly calibrated, its easily the best looking monitor I've used so far.

  • @marknorville9827

    I am tone deaf and poor night vision. The BenQ actually looked better on all of the games watching this video, it might be different in person, but the BenQ is cheaper than the G8 which is going to be a massive issue for most people, even the BQ is more expensive than the G7. A lot of people are not really going to notice such things unless it is really bad, it is like saying that professional gamers use 27 inch while the rest of us might want a 32 inch. I am torn between 27 and 32, for certain gaming, as gaming on a TV can be a bit of a let down, especially playing COD as an example.
