Storm started to build when truckers started to work in non-union yards. As long as non-union yards will outnumber union yards - trucking will be going downhill.
I took a Michelin tire load of raw materials to manufacture the tires from Louisville Kentucky to South Carolina. I was sent from South Carolina deadhead all the way back to Louisville Kentucky to do the same run. That means that the rates are so high that to return deadhead all the way is no big deal. This was less than 2 weeks ago. The independent and small trucking companies are getting screwed.
