My bff started off with Prime and did OTR and lived on his truck for a year. He had an awesome trainer and was able to get out of a financial mess he was in. He left to start driving local. Keep driving girl!!!❤❤❤

@@elliottcruz1874 man I drive for Sysco work 4 days a week and home everyday gross around 1600-1700 a week. It’s hard work though. Our drivers that work 5 days gross 2-2300 a week

Why not be a traveling nurse and make bank!
I would have done that when I was younger. I no longer work bedside or case management. I have a great job now and work part time as a correctional nurse.
My reason for doing this is to potentially have something to fall back on should I want a break from nursing, but I appreciate your feedback.

Hey i drove for 27yrs medical retired & 1st week you did well & fine & 1st lease will be your hardest & having that "Head Start" many dont have that extra extra now those extras have to very slowly be your side reimbursements,your Trucking acct & your bills are ready your settlements +remember your a baby lol & always remember SAVE & Success On &Happy Trails 🚛 🙏
If you like to travel this is a great job. And if you have no kids! I came home from Schneider in January. I have a family so I came home. The time I was missing from my kid wasn't worth the money. Rates not what they used to be.

Quite confident that's not majority of Americans....OP was very cavalier throwing that 30k figure out there.

I drove for prime awhile back they are a good company to start with in my opinion but as long as you have a clear goal you can make money with them. You should calibrate the load scale on the truck when you get loaded heavy, so you don't have to scale out

1) fuel
2) trailer
3)tractor
4) insurance
5) tires
6) accountant
7) SEP
8) the company’s cut
So, as a owner operator you are expected to know these thing going into it while everyone knows most folks don’t…..
Sharing knowledge from credible sources is not should ever be interpreted as “ hate “ ….
It’s called guidance ! Caring about the other worker !

The first video of truck driving i saw, where you even film under the trailer and film the fifth wheel also, don't see that in other videos, that tells me that you are concerned with every aspect of the job, stay safe out on the road delivering goods and services for families.
Monthly Quarterly Yearly matters far more for success and failure unfortunately then weekly. Hope them numbers stay solid.
