Glad Spud is doing well on chemo. I know how you feel dealing with health issues, been there. Patience and lots of Self-care sewing is a great way to help you through the tough times. Love the strawberries. I meditate twice a day for stress relief, and exercise. Walking, just getting out in nature, really helps. I think the gloomy weather has contributed to a lot of us feeling depressed. I've used one of those light lamps before and they do help. Your description with the Fibre Mood issues made me laugh. Love the Megan Nielsen swimsuit and the fabric you're using is adorable.
Hi Sam, Oooohhhh, you are getting so close to the thousand subscribers you need. After that, we will need to get you your 4,000 viewing hours. Have you applied for monetisation yet? Great video. I have to laugh though - the whole time I was watching you I kept waiting for you to stand up so I could see ifthere were any other greyhounds on the fabric besides the black one with the orange/rust coloured coat on😆 I am glad spud is doing well. Hopefully she will continue to cope with the treatment without too much trouble. I know what you mean when you talk about the cost of sewing, and sure, you could buy cheaper garments than you make if you want to buy into fast fashion with all it's consequences. However, what I can't put a price on (am I begining to sound like a credit card advert?) is the theraputic effect of sewing. I not only enjoy the sewing process but I love it when I wear a garment I have made and someone comments on how great that garment looks. Just today someone noticed the top I was wearing and I got such a buzz to say, "Thank you. It's my favourite fabric and I made it into my favourite pattern". I also love it when I catch a glimpse of myself and although I am far from a model (oh soooo far from being a model), I like it when I realise how well my garment fits. I also love it that my home sewn garments last so much longer than bought garments.
Hi Libby! I’ll keep you updated! Looking at it, I think the fiddly bit is that elastic with the slippery swim fabric, I’ll let you know what it’s like and if it’s true to size! 😘😘❤️
I'm at the stage where anything i make now will need to breastfeeding friendly...! Do you think the m7969 would work? Maybe with a popper in the front? Love the design. A modern classic!
Oooh huge congrats to you on your new baby! How wonderful 😘❤️ yes absolutely! The popper idea would definitely work, I’d maybe make the bodice pieces a little longer just to accommodate a little extra space. You could also make it elasticated around the waist where the gathers are for comfort. If that all fails - Velcro 😂 😘😘❤️
That's so helpful thank you!@@SewinginSwitzerland I like the idea of elastic around the waist (anything comfy at the moment...!!) I guess I would just cut a size up, or grade to a size up around the waist on the bodice pieces and then elastic the join to the skirt...?
Hiya Ruth, I love yoga with Adrienne - that’s a great recommendation, thank you so much! I find yoga is so soothing on the joints actually. Hope you’re having a fab week 😘❤️
Argh what a faff with the fibremood website! Why do it differently to everyone else?! Must take them longer to sort out all the queries that set it up in a package in the first place 🙈
That’s exactly what I thought! Like just send the people the instructions that they paid for?!? 😂🙈 it’s been very frustrating and I still haven’t printed it 😂😂🥸

I would love to see how you get on with the Cottesloe as I also have that pattern but haven't started it yet. Love the Nerida Hansen fabric.

@@SewinginSwitzerland Thank you appreciate that. X
I don't want to know how much sewing costs. You can't put a price on happiness!!!!!!
Hahahaha Kate, I completely agree. I have made a huge judgement in error and regret it deeply 😂😂😂🙈
Gosh so sorry your body has been under so much stress. You're doing a great job being kind to yourself 🙏
Thank you lovely, you are so kind! It’s always everything all at once isn’t it 😂🙈
@@SewinginSwitzerland💯 hopefully you'll get a period of restbite to follow

Have you tried “yoga with Adrienne” on TH-cam? Think she has short 10 min stretch sessions.
