ughhh nope. wb pirates got spank hard. his last ditch attempt only annoyed the government. as long as they killed ace and fraudbeard thats all that matters. they did fail on ending the pirate era but the other objectives were accomplished
@Red Emperor they achieved their objectives sure but whitebears final words were enough to inspire the entire current pirate era to continue on fighting against the world's government's and try to reach the one piece him telling them its real amped up the entire pirates in the current era also "fraudbeard" 💀 only reason he had such a bad time is cause he was very ill
@Red Emperor and like I said wasn't "last ditch" he just wanted the world to know it before he died as he was the current only pirate in existence at that time who knew if it existed or not amping the New generation to push forward by telling them there goal isn't just mere fantasy also I love how you claim "fraudbeard" yet completely ignore the FACT that he had a terrible illness which basically hindered his ability
@@Green-cactus. the whole point was to end the Pirate Era. All they did otherwise was cause a bigger problem (Blackbeard) to rise and they destabilized Whitebeard's territory.

For the non-manga readers, the scene where Akainu burns off half of WB's mustache is a lot more gruesome in the manga. He basically blasts off half his face. Everything else that WB does after that (beating up BB etc) was with the left side of his head missing. So if you thought he was a chad based on the anime... manga is amazing.
Whitebeard is indeed great he is the strongest man in the world in his time, he beat the 3 admirals while suffering to his own disease, has the power to destroy the world if he felt like it and the only man to rival Roger himself.

Of course he's doing his job but he extends his sick sense of absolute justice beyond his duties and that makes him hateful. He wanted to kill Coby as well, who only wanted the war to stop as there were pointless deaths even after they achieved all their goals.
Akainu always be one of the best character in ONE PIECE... He is the real meaning of justice... But too bad that Ace died because a piece of shitty paper... People blame Akainu for killing Ace but he just happened to be at the wrong place and wrong time...
