  • Putting the most expensive Vevor wheel through two days of constant use, then giving it to my last assistant who used it for two weeks. Together we made lots of pieces, I personally threw 60 pieces in one day.

Heads up to all my followers, we just had the gallery hit by lightening which caused a small fire on the upper floor, it smouldered for 10 hours over night before we opened up in the morning. We had a lucky break in that we used ICF construction so it just smouldered and melted the insulation. I may have spotty internet for a few days because it zapped out the electronics including the TV. The lightening also zapped Bell Telecommunication building a few doors down the road, lots of lightening strikes last night, terrific storm.

Thank you for your reviews. We got a vevor for my wife and we also added a bat system to it.

I love your videos. Thank you for sharing your amazing skills. They have helped me greatly as a beginning potter.

I don't pot anymore, haven't for some time but have other artistic outlets. I find your videos very relaxing and it is so much fun to see what other artists are up to. I hope to get a planter from you in the near future. Am enjoying the t pot and bowl I bought earlier this year!

Hi Vaughan. This is a good review of the Vevor wheel. After your review last year I purchased one of the $435 wheels, especially for throwing only white clay. It's sitting up on a box at standing-height, with the foot pedal on the table beside me (a bit of a learning curve, having to take a hand off the pot to adjust speed). I really like standing up throwing now! I am so impressed with it's abilities. I have thrown 8 lb and had no problems, but of course smaller amounts are better. My 25-year-old SHimpo is the real workhorse, but heavy as can be and it's sitting on bed risers to get it to a comfortable height for throwing sitting down (it also has a dual foot/stick controller so I am used to the take-the-hand-off-the-pot style of throwing.) I had planned on a smaller Whisper-type wheel in the future, but this one got me to a 2nd wheel earlier. Cheers to the East Coast!

Great tip! I throw with groggy clay and always smooth with a chamois on my rims. But I never thought of using a stone on my rims once leather hard..... No more grit! 👍👍👍👍 THANK YOU!

Bought this same wheel last month because it had a lot of good reviews. Unfortunately, the wheel head is off-centered and wobbling. VEVOR's customer service is the worst I have ever encountered. Their website says 30-day no-hassle returns, but getting a new wheel has been the biggest hassle ever! Their first reply was for me to wait 3 weeks for a repair kit so that I could fix it myself. We've gone back and forth several times and each time they refuse to let me return the wheel - they keep upping the incentive to keep it. So far they're giving me $125 to keep it. Does anyone know how to fix it? I have no idea and now I'm stuck with an off-centered pottery wheel.

Ah yes, the lost chamois --- I managed to lose 3 over the years-

I just purchased this wheel. I’m a beginner and thought it would be a good one for me to start with. I love it. I do have to ask if you figured out a way to fix the dripping from the tray. Mine does the same and it runs down my foot!! Lol. Thank you for your reviews and videos. Love your work!

I notice that you dont cone the ball of clay. Can I ask why?. what are the benefits of coning? You make it look all so easy, so far I am not good on the wheel, would rather hand build.

  • @jhenniceamorrow5936

Was that a polished rock, used to smooth the bottom?

  • @cpnotill9264

Thanks for the stone tip Vaughan. What kind of letter stamps do you use?

  • @katemckinley

Does it have holes on wheel head for bat pins?
