This was so interesting! That is awesome that you get to do this while being a student too. I love how you explained the process of how the relationship is first stablished and then the coping skills.
Getting the experience alongside taking classes has been so helpful in seeing how the knowledge is actually applied but then also has 100% increased my confidence for when I enter the field after graduation :)
ahh congrats & good luck!! I was just doing that super recently, too :) this vid may be helpful to you for the licensing exam: th-cam.com/video/33PVRJV3EWE/w-d-xo.html&lc=Ugz-yr-V4H-R9fPtn954AaABAg hope you're having a great day!! 💗💗

Did you ever feel zero confidence? I'm doing my undergraduate and can't imagine myself using my degree at all because I just don't feel that I have the confidence to do a job like social work or anything. Do you have any advice for building confidence for starting a career?
I have experienced that!! for me personally, after my undergrad I was prepared academically but confidence-wise I did not feel prepared. through my masters program, I grew a lot personally and also had encouraging supervisors and professors that ultimately helped my confidence grow a bit. but know you are not alone in that feeling & it can get better with time!! I touch on this topic a bit in my MSW experience video if that’s helpful for you :)
Did you stay at the jail for the entirety of your internship time or are you guys able to switch placements? we had to complete multiple internships and couldn’t stay at one single one for all semesters of internship so I was curious if this differs between different programs/schools. I obviously wasn’t social work but super curious!
I've been here since the beginning of the year! I had a different internship for my undergrad. If someone's doing the two-year program, they'll usually do a different one each year.
To my knowledge, they would look very similar as applied in practice but just vary a little in the frame with which they focus on! Super shortly put, biopsychosocial looks at the connection between different factors in a person's life to understand how they've gotten to where they are at today and person-centered approach aims to focus on the client as a person with strengths and weaknesses and a personality moreso than looking at a client as their disability or diagnosis.

Nice sharing. Have a nice day friend 😁
Hey, I have question. I'm trying to research what's the difference between Biopyschosocial Model and Person Centered Approach?
To my knowledge, they would look very similar as applied in practice but just vary a little in the frame with which they focus on!
