I think there some more movies shot in india. City of joy The Japanese wife The bengali night Heat and dust Junoon Many more. Now the latest trend is Web series on amazon prime india. Lots of new contents are available in this platform.
@@cosmicworld5665 Excellent list. Not at this level, but how about Chetan Bhagat's 2 States and Manoj Kumar's Purab Aur Paschim would give an insight to the cultural ethos??
There is also movie called Extraction shot both in India and Bangladesh... Hollywood collobrated movie with India, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Mayanmar
Amazing .. Man have you visited Darjeeling? and Sikkim... After this covid situation, you must cover West Bengal ... Fun fact WB is the only state where you will find Himalaya and bay of bengal .... Mountain and Sea ... Digha Beach ... not so famous, not so developed but still its very good ...
Hi Sar Kar sounds nice there. I have not been to Darjeeling yet. I would like to see tea places and the Himalayas especially. Is that where you are from?
I agree with Lunch Box and Meet the Patels in your list: Dubbawala swaps the Lunch box, leading to a platonic extra-marital relationship. The film shows the struggle of both partners. Truly Indian. Meet the Patels is slightly over the mark, yet mostly factual arguments. Movies like Octopussy and Indiana Jones (or for that matter any other 60s/70s Hollywood movie with Indian reference) are often based on the Western interpretation of India - tantrics, snakes, belly-dancers. And tonga drivers. Agreeing on Sayed Musthaqeem comment below, films by likes of Mira Nair and Satyajit are more popular stereotyping India. Also include British movies like Bride and Prejudice, The Jewel in the Crown, Tandoori Nights, etc.
Me too I love watching movies and I’m a fan of Bollywood films, there are new ones available on Netflix now. India is a place close to my heart ❤️ I’ve seen Million Dollar Arm, Life of Pi and Octopussy. I didn’t go with them to Pondicherry too bad. Slumdog and Eat Pray and love is also 🧡
Hope you have seen the film "Bucket List " Part of the movie was shot in India. My favourite Hollywood stars Morgan freeman and Jack Nicholas are cast in it
You are doing a great job.. Keep doing this.. And improve the image of India in western countries.. 🙏🙏❤️❤️ Because western media always shows the dark side of India..
@@bjenks Yeah, I think the director went backwards with the story. He had locations so he has woven a story around it. It felt very choppy at times. But the lead actor (Lee Pace?) carried the movie for me.

Yeah, the reality is Hollywood is so popular we don't see many outside movies, but Bollywood movies are gaining in popularity with Netflix and if they do, then more good movies will come from the other studios. Do you have any recommendations?
@@bjenks yes and now many south Indian movies also available in netflix, amazon ,yes we will soon reach the peek as soon as possible, for recommendation you can watch 2.0(tamil movie) available in amazon india, jeans(tamil) its an love story but took place in USA, baahubali(telugu)movie i think this has 2 parts , dasavataharam(tamil movie), SPYDER(Bilingual tamil and telugu), thoongavanam(tamil movie), naan e(Tamil and telugu bilingual) this is movie is in different genre because the main protagonist is literally an flying insect anyways there are even more but now i leave you with this kindly try to watch take care.....
As a movie lover I will suggest u some south Indian movie.... 1st one is ASURAN...2nd super deluxe....3rd vadachennai...which all three are Tamil but if u see these films u know all the social things happened and happening in India.
Have you seen Heat and Dust? It is probably my favorite movie set in India. It is a little hard to find now but I watched it on Kanopy. And being you are in India there is always piratebay.
It is not Yudapur but Udaipur. (Pronounced oo-dai-pur). It also has Vijay Amrithraj the tennis pro - who came upto the quarter finals in Wimbledon twice (as the tennis pro who is Bond's local contact). Remember the dialogue (..my backhand has improved ..")
Million Dollar Arm movie is based on the true story of baseball pitchers Rinku Singh and Dinesh Patel. Rinku Singh is WWE wrestler now under the brand NXT
Pro Tip :Watch some bollywood movies instead such as 1. 3 diots 2. The LuchBox 3. Hellaro 4. Jallikattu 5. Ms Dhoni: an untold story ( IF you're a fan of cricket.) 6. Tumbaad 5. Sairaat 6. They have a universal appeal.
There is nothing much except elevation for the lead role. Oh god it gave me cheap thrills watching it first time. Second I watched in TV and felt boring. But I like the music for sure.
I am recomding one thing that changes your life completely. It's 'Radha Krishna' around 400+ episode teaches whole life and beyond. It's available only in Disney Hotstar. Don't miss.. it's equal as you miss India. It's beyond Breaking bad or Dexter..
3 blockbuster i knew that were shot in India, The bourne supremacy, they had mentioned of Goa,so no brains there, similarly ghost protocol, the dark knight rises,i had read about it
Sir Benjamin Jenks one small request: could you please stop flicking your fingers and the thumb at your camera lens? It feels like you are about to poke them in my eyes. I can hardly watch your videos when you are in full swing. I am reduced to just listening to you with my eyes closed. To get the full benefit I would rather watch you too. If you must swing your hand, could you consider swinging the right hand instead? By the way, I am a fan of your channel.
wow you try to watch indian(1996) tamil movie which is based on corruption and enthiran the robot(2010) tamil movie which is robotic science fiction movie and also watch 2 baahubali movies(telugu)......
Many viewers have already commented about inclusion of films like Indiana Jones and James Bond, etc. So I am not going to repeat the same thing. But please do a simple google search before pronouncing indian nouns, like Irrfan or Pather Panchali, etc... It's not hard to get audios or videos where these nouns are pronounced the way they are supposed to... Each time you pronounced Irrfan sir's name, you were like 'Iraf'. I mean just read the spelling...it's not that hard to get it right. It's rather insulting towards them, specially when it comes to great people and things. As u already know, Irrfan Khan sir recently passed away, and here you are not even trying to pronounce his name correctly.
