    Indian home cooking is poles
apart from restaurant food. Traditionally, we used to eat restaurant food only as an indulgence. What kind of indulgence you ask ? We only had restaurant food at my parent’s anniversary. ‘Hotel Food’ was something looked down upon and even looked down upon even until early 90s in small town India. It is not easy to make Indian home food because the recipes and traditions vary from region to region and have been perfected over centuries if not thousands of years. My household still uses cold pressed peanut/mustard oil, local mill ground wheat flour, besan, and daliya. Heck we even grind our own garam masala, black/red peppers, cumin, and rock salt. These are small town luxuries that folks do not get in Metro Cities today. Your video is much appreciated though as it is very informative to foreigners. Albeit, I have a suggestion to make if you don’t mind: try hiring a local cooking maid for a month. You’ll have to do a lot of grocery shopping, but it’s going to be worth if you’re still in for a long haul, and much more cheaper. I don’t really know how much sense it makes to you, but I’ve had my fair share of bachelor living of 7 years. Ultimately, I became a home chef myself 😀

Eat food by knowing your body type in Ayurveda
    Like vata, pitta or kapha
Also by blood group in japanese system of diet by blood group
Knowing your life style is important for food
    Less physical activity eat vegan
More physical activity then introduce animal fish etc in diet
Also eat a activated wood charcoal if you have gas

BTW, I'd ask the same question in the opposite direction i.e. why did american food make one so gassy. This was when I was in the US and this was the experience I and several of my colleagues had on eating any kind of 'american' food. I guess this just boils down to the 'stomach needs to get accustomed'

There is a much simpler answer, cooking soda. few restaurants add cooking soda to rice to make your stomach feel full after the meal. there is no test that I know of to see to if it has been added, but one indication is the amount of rice they are serving. Restaurants not adding soda don’t bother about the quantity of rice they are serving, because they are confident of their profit margins and taste.

@@bjenks Well I'm gonna wait till December and if no ripe apples are falling from the tree, I'm really considering going to Mexico 🇲🇽 and keep doing my thing till India 🇮🇳 opens up but frankly I really don't see them being able to hold out that long as the economy is going down the toilet. More and more people are getting a whole lot poorer fast and how can they keep feeding their families, paying rent and the whole 9 yards? I met one indian in Puri, Orissa last year and he told me two weeks ago that he had to take his motorbike to a place which is sort of a pawn shop. The deal is something like a sale-retro sale contract. The pawn shop keeper offers you a price for your vehicle and theirs a clause that you have the right to buy it back for said price within a year or whatever the law permits in India. If at the expiration of that time you can't buy it back, it's gone forever. Indians seem to have a lot of faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi buy how long will they bear this no work or very little work that is being experienced such asbiare the migrant workers who live in what they make on a day to day basis? Even worse when they have children to look after and even elderly folk! Colombia saw this happening as many people lost their livelihood, had to forfeit their businesses and homes only to move in with family members willing to take them in or 2-3 families getting together under one roof and pulling together to eat and pay the rent. Lots of business shops are closed as the businesses that were there went out of business so there are many vacant shops in places like LLERAS PARK, a super popular place fire foreigners to hang out and party here in El Poblado, Medellīn. Even in the popular domestic tourist towns like La Ceja, Guatapé and El Retiro here in Antioquia have lots of vacant shops. That's not normal as one used to find naybe one vacant shop for rent in this highly visited areas. There are many houses and apartments for rent to like never before. India cannot offered to extend this past December because people will fall into further desperation and tren crime can really start to spiral in a place like India 🇮🇳. We all have breaking points in general. It's only a handful that can bear the brunt of the storm all the way through or at least for us Westerners it's like that. Colombia went for the lesser of two evils and reopened to international travel a d tourism. Things are slowly but surely picking up. I saw that in El Poblado, Medellīn and Envigado on Saturday.
So as you said Benjamin "Let's just wait and see."

It also depends on ur food habit I think.if u normally eat these gaseous food then u might get gas.because I as an north east indian eat rice everyday in lunch and dinner.I don't get this problem.but one more thing is u should not eat some food at night like grean peas, cauliflower, etc etc whatever u mentioned because after dinner we don't do much exercise and go to bed because of which the food doesn't get divested.. And avoid having food restaurants as they put too much masala compared to homemade food.

    Hi,
Actually in individual house holds in tamil nadu, we drain the starch when we cook rice and we use boiled rice .
Most restaurants use raw rice and basmati rice. South Indians eat rice only once a day mostly afternoon. We also don't eat out that much, maybe for occasions.. we avoid eating dairy products at night except for buttermilk ( it has good bacteria helps in digestion). If we have trouble in digestion, we drink rasam and lots of warm water

@@bjenks Well Benjamin just keeping busy with my English language teaching through Skype, Google Teams, Zoom and WhatsApp Monday through Friday and on Saturdays I go out on my motorbike 🏍️ to different towns here in the state of Antioquia or to the Medellīn metropolitan area to make videos for the 3 TH-cam channels I have and then editing then videos on Sunday and doing lesson planning for those classes I have as they are my bread and butter. I have enjoyed teaching for 22 years now and still do overall. Looking to make as many videos about the different towns around here in Colombia 🇨🇴 as well as the nature walk areas before going back to India 🇮🇳 and staying there. I'll continue doing the same regarding making a living and continue my passion with the TH-cam channels. They're still in that infant stage and it's so cool to see them growing. Just stay away from looking at the analytics these days to avoid any dissatisfaction or disappointment because sometimes I'm expecting way too much.
