lmao so true. This guy is a goofball who doesnt know what hes talking about. look at his video description too. focusing on carry heros as if solo carrying is the only way to be 'good' at the game
Did you watch the video? He covers carpet in like 2-3 minutes and the rest is about an updated build for 7. Talks about a number of changes to items and the map.
Why not put power surge on balls? You are throwing them all the time anyway, to farm or to kill, i sometimes throw 1st just so i can run faster under power surge buff. I understand the permannet spirit buff is good, but, is it really worth it having such a strong buff tied to ability you can't spam?
at high level its really easy for people to move away from the seven balls, while its not possible for them to dodge bullets, and putting it on power surge is a lot better damage wise
It's important to notice that you don't get all that buff. It's 40 spirit for the imbued skill only, and I don't think move speed is the core for this item
I tried doing this before but the cooldown wasnt quick enough really to compete with just reloading. This was before I knew how to play the game that well though. SO maybe with the right combination of cooldowns applied to it it could be quite good.
The early power of seven is his ability to get farming online insanely fast. Maximizing that by maxing ball makes significantly more sense than putting points into stun early. Why go for "potential" kills in lane with stun when you can just insta-push the wave and farm for GUARANTEED souls elsewhere. You're also forcing the enemy team to farm under tower, keeping them from being able to farm their surrounding jungle as consistently since they are risking missing wave farm. Stun in lane will only matter against overly aggressive enemies who are constantly out of position and/or have bad stamina management. Banking on the enemy to make mistakes for your strat to work is almost always bad for even moderately high lvl play.
I think the issue here is that you don't want to be omega passive, because that hurts your income. If you grab no other skills, you become very weak early. Your opponent can melee, they can deny, they can do whatever they want because you have no kill pressure. Kill pressure is not always about killing. If they're full health, they can dive you. They could even freeze. They can take your jungle, accompany you and kill you when you leave. They can constantly shove. You need some threat to be able to breathe. If you can do some heavy poking constantly. Against an opponent who will abuse you, if you're too passive in the lane, you might reach ball max slower, because you're denied 1k souls by dying/having to farm under turret while being harassed. By being stronger, you might even be farming fast enough to get max ball faster than going directly for it. The key here is that the investment for you to get a lot stronger is minimal. I don't know about you, but my experience going only max ball is playing catch-up. I lose lane hard, then I get ball and I can go to the jungle and eventually become a monster. Having an easier time farming in lane could probably go a long way for me (as if you're stronger you can trade more often, have the opponent have a much riskier dive, perhaps score a kill)
wow no surge of power on the 1. Ok guys this guy doesn't know what he's talking about, move on. Makes 0 sense to put it on 3 instead of the 1 where you can have upto 100% uptime. On the 3 you have it up every 30 seconds

The +60 Spirit is only an extra 30dps on the ball but the 5% damage buff per stack, which stacks a lot with the ball, will result in more DPS. Furthemore you're only getting an extra 175 hp. Ive begun to see some builds that wait to buy improved and extra spirit all together just to buy boundless in one go at the end of the game. I can understand why this philosophy exists as items that provide other buffs beyond just spirit are better utility, but i see now point in not getting them along the way. Soul shredder is a trap. Spiritual overflow and escalating are sevens Core items. Overflow is just better soul shredder. save the 1250 and the slots. You are 100% incorrect with your analysis of improved reach. Yes, it makes your balls bigger, but its hardly noticeable, but it is the best thing to imbune. The better part of Reach is the 25% range buff to your stun and your 3. So to say you're not focusing on your 3 build with it at all is incorrect. Furthermore, i used to also focus on 3 and ran SoP but in testing its not as good as you would think. You can basically get the same thing with Fleetfoot and save the souls. Fleetfoot is also going to allow you to move quicker as you can shoot and move at the same time when farming. Especially since the damage change on your 3 is only 6.8, its not the big of a change to even be noticeable. Sure it "lasts longer" but if you go for improved duration on your stun, which like... why wouldn't you. You have 100% uptime regardless. You basically have 60% uptime without duration all together just from natural spirit scaling just improved spirit and your other items like escalating, rapid recharge, mystic slow, and reach. Base duration extender or cooldown pushes you towards 75%. Both puts you at 90%. Boundless alone puts you at 70%. Combine with one of those items and your at 85%. Those 4 seconds arent going to be noticeable and they come with better utility as well. You talk about how good mystic slow is, and you're correct its a great item especially since it meshes well not just with the ball for its T2 movement slow, but also with your 3. Furthermore, let me introduce you to "Slowing Bullets" which will further stack on your 3. Mystic Reverb is also a great choice for this as you make it harder to escape your ball which stacks more damage. Finally, you buy a lot of useless items that just get sold later. Extra health is unnecessary outside of the lane. That 160 health buff is not going to make a difference outside of that, besides Extra Regen or Enduring spirit will be more helpful in lane anyways. Furthermore, 1 T2 item, like spirit lifesteal, is going to provide the essentially the same buff as extra health and its not getting sold later. Soul rebirth is a meme on seven its only good on characters that have great healing like Giest, or damage negators like Pocket in his case or Viscious Cube. Dont get me wrong, Seven has incredible lifesteal once you get leech. Before the lifesteal stacking nerf, my old build granted 98% spirit life steal naturally. Not including the Bullet lifesteal gained from leech. Back then soul shredder was worth the slot for the 25% to go beyond 98% but after that nerf, its just worse spiritual overflow.
