thanks you. There are many ways to produce a jewel. Today, with the rapid prototyping it is relatively simple. I love realize jewelry handmade because I can change the work at all times, and realize exactly what I draw and I imagine
scaffoal As a fellow goldsmith, I see true goldsmithing as creating jewellery entirely by hand without the assistance of CAD or wax models and castings. This is true jewellery making
I do this as a hobby and give my pieces away, watching you creating your magic has inspired me to have a go at things I normally would not touch, however I doubt I will ever aquire the level of skill you have
Thank you. I hope you manage to build all the jewels which you dream. Every time you make a jewel and it fails as you want, try again. You learn just by trying.
If you've been making jewelry for 40 years, you surely know the mechanical differences between molten metal and laminated metal. I never said not to use the 3D mold, on the contrary I use it and soon I will also make some videos on the characteristics of two different printers. I believe that to be able to decide each time which is the best technique to use, you need to know them all. Some objects can be made only in 3D and lost wax casting, others if they are made completely by hand even with more welds they are less delicate over time.
Lindo trabalho, acompanho seu trabalho aqui do Brasil Mestre, aquela ferramenta que você usa aos 14 minutos, não corre o risco de quebrar as Pedras a serem cravadas? Pedras sintéticas aguentam as batidas daquela ferramenta?
Hello, Mr. Scaffoal, I have a question. I understand that Italy is currently facing a financial and unemployment crisis. My question is, do the jewellers face problems in terms of employment, does the profession offer stability in the years to come? Is their job affected compared to other professions? or they enjoy a stable and secure future. I understand that the profession of the jeweller is one of the oldest professions in the world even older than prostitution. Jewellers enjoy tens of thousands of years old tradition and they're still going strong in the 21st century. Thank you for your elegant and timeless pieces that you create for us to witness. I'm very impressed by your skill and attention to painstaking detail.
Your work is fantastic!! I want to practice this work for my mother really....😂 I have a question. What did you put on the jwelys when soldering after setting up a diamond?
Thank you, to make the welds and to prevent the gold from oxidizing, the objects are immersed in an antioxidant liquid, which is also deposited on top of the gems. after welding it is removed with suitable acids.
A question, how do you make a stone to stick on that iron (similar to a phillip screw driver)? i've tried on some, but they fall too quickly, so i have to use Tweezers (which makes the job a lot harder)
Amazing work as always! =) Question: Would it make a difference for the shine if you polished the seats for the diamonds before inserting them? I assume it would be more reflective, and therefore shine more strongly...
you can get double shine in wierd way if you polish it becous it doe like double windows do give you two reflections somtimes if it does not seat perfecly and it never does
With good teachers in four or five years of practice you can succeed you have to realize many objects. He never finished better themselves. Each new jewel is a new challenge that you can cope by following a new path.
@@scaffoal I'm also a jewellery maker.. But my working style is different. n when I m making a jewellery then I some loss of material by making time.. n when I see ur video seen ur making style then I think that u hv also loss. n maybe big loss of me... ?? is that true
Thank you so much for posting this. I've been a jeweler for four years now and you have been my inspiration.
Thanks for this video. The general public is clueless what is involved in custom fabricated jewels.
thanks you. There are many ways to produce a jewel. Today, with the rapid prototyping it is relatively simple. I love realize jewelry handmade because I can change the work at all times, and realize exactly what I draw and I imagine
Now i see you make a lot of different type of pieces not just rings.

Your soldering skill is incredible. You don't seem to use anything but hard solder. Filigreenus is the only one on youtube that is your equal. Bravo!
thank you
I am so jealous of your control of the torch and solder. Your videos are so informative and entertaining.
Jim Schowe don't be jealous... like Denzel Washington said "if u practice something long enough you get good at it !!!!

I have been a jewelry designer for 40 years. I understand the hand made custom ring but who wants a ring full of solder. 3D printing is the way to go

All the diamonds are the same.

obrigado. Depende de como você o usa. a potência do batente é ajustável.
Fit for a Queen! How long did it take to make this piece?
6/8 hours
