    Tanzanite used to be known as Tanzanite Diamonds and they were more electric blue. Stunning. I saw my first Tanzanite Diamond over thirty-five years ago. A stunning Gem.

    In our first holiday together my husband and I visited Tanzania. We loved the country, the trip was memorable. He bought me a commitment ring there. 💍 I love it to pieces I love love love the colour. It is a worry for me though that it is not an every day ring. Any tips? I love it and would not want to change. At the time we were completely unaware of hardness, reflection etc we just loved it and thought it would be great for us. Has anyone had a tanzanite commitment ring?

    Remember that there is ocean or peacock tanzanite which is green blue and some tanzanite has color shift similar to alexandrite and go from purple to blue the ocean type color change can have close aquamarine

      Tanzanite is a heat treaded gems - where the color Violet or Blue depend on the axes the gem is polished, the small axes is the Blue the long axes is the Violet, in general there are larger and more by volume Violet Tanzanite due to higher polish from rough yield.
      .
      Some other color appear but if less value specially the light greenish ones.

    thank you for this, i liked the way you presented it, and nice humor too :)
    would you think that with the upcoming scarcity, even lower quality cuts, clarities and color gradings would still become valuable?

    Tanzanite, the stone that has recently taken a good hit on the market. What I have seen is if the stone has a GIA report and only a GIA report it will retain its value.
    Otherwise there has been a sharp decline in many areas. Unfortunately this is due to synthetic Tanzanite and lab grown which was said would never be done.
    If you are going to invest find yourself a very reputable dealer. Do not buy off of online sites at all. Unless they specialize in Tanzanite and have been around for awhile.
    I purchased a few examples of Tanzanite over 20 years ago. I know these are real including a few rough specimens. But I like many people do not sell stones I simply collect. Good luck kind people..

    Misleading! The demand for Tanzanite is many times less than diamond. Hot air Yair.

      Tanzanite can be found only in 1 place, Gem Quality Tanzanite are rarer than a diamond - with only 4km stretch of land where they can be found. Yes Tanzanite are less pricy than diamonds mainly due to their hardness being 6.5 on the Moe Scale.

    • @yairshimansky6496
      @yairshimansky6496  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi, Yes Diamonds are in higher demand as they enjoy hundreds of years of awareness and sales, Tanzanite was discovered only 55 years ago, which is very new for gemstones...

      Charles, your a fool. Eventually you'll be able to find diamonds, and never be able to get your hands on tanzanite because of the rarity. When the price shoots through the roof, u'll be dead in the water trying to get your hands on some. Charles, its obvious you don't have long term foresight.

    • @yairshimansky6496
      @yairshimansky6496  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ManifestingADream Tanzanite is rarer than diamonds. Their price is much lower due to awareness that impacts demand to supply ratio. The second reason is the gem's hardness, which is 6.5 hard on the Moe Scale compared to diamonds that are 10.

    • @ManifestingADream
      @ManifestingADream ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@yairshimansky6496 Yeah I think i read somewhere that they stopped mining tanzanite, so whats out there right now, is all there will be, raising the price even further.

    MANY gems are more rare than Diamonds. In fact Diamonds are NOT RARE at all. They are in fact, quite plentiful.
    The idea that they are rare is due to LIES, manipulation of the trade, propaganda all stemming from Greed. This is what happens when one company has a monopoly on a product or thing.
    Tanzanite is very rare by comparison. Most gem-quality minerals are more rare than Diamonds.
