    I’d like to switch the pull back, spring and lever/knob from underneath and on right, used with index. Instead just reverse it, so the pull back, spring and lever/knob to at the top so when holding you could just use your thumb. When holding normally just put thumb down keeps more accurate than trying to switch down with index.

    • @jimafcarbon4433
      @jimafcarbon4433  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Being a primate, we enjoy the use of opposable thumbs. They enable us to hold objects much better than other mammals. Thst said, they're out numbered. Keep your thumb wrapped around for control. Use your trigger finger to set it off. But that's the fun of it. They're cheap and easy. Make one of each then decide !

    • @ClintonT.Biddle

      @@jimafcarbon4433 just think about it truly picture it. When holding either funGunZzz you dont hold them like a normal gun with fist firmly closed.
      You must hold them like hitching a ride, thumb pointing up with 4fingers firmly gripped. When using index you compromise grip/aim/control but instead, while holding it like hitching a ride or thumb up, just click with thumb when lowering thumb back down to a make a normal grip.
      Just simple click while going from thumbs up/hitching a ride to normal gun grip/closed fist.
      Simply twist it 180 degrees from bottom/right index to top/left thumb...

The rifling can be done with a button (Ukraine and China produce most of them) or 3d print a mandrel to ECM the rifling and chamber. If used with out the liner what size pipe for the barrel?

    • @jimafcarbon4433
      @jimafcarbon4433  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Same. I had to drill it out for the liner. But without the liner, you'd need a really long piece of pipe to be legal. Excerpt from
      The ATF says that in order for a pistol to be legal
      and unregulated(meaning that it won't need to
      be registered & taxed as an 'any other weapon
      under the NFA rules), the pistol must have these
      3 characteristics:
      1. A grip extending at a downward angle from
      the bore.
      2. The barrel must be rifled 'sufficiently to impart
      a spin on the projectile.
      3. The weapon must be designed, built and
      intended to be fired with one hand.

    • @FLAlesslethal
      @FLAlesslethal 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes I understand all the rules. I was just asking a hypothetical question. What size pipe would work for a 22 without the liner- like 1/8 of an inch?

    • @jimafcarbon4433

    • @mikewelch3903

      Gordon, rimfire bullets do not have the primer charge in the center like regular bullet have. The primer is what sets off the rest of the gunpowder. They have their primer charge placed inside the cartridge rear flange (the bulgy part at the back of the bullet). For a rimfire bullet to fire, you need to compress that flange part, which squeezes the primer charge, and then that ignites the rest of the gunpowder.

      I'd like to think I'm more of a realist than a pessimist. Nothing I've done here or any of the other projects I show are my own designs. Just my take on existing designs. I like to put at least enough effort into them that they aren't embarrassing. But if they were perfect they might seem out of reach to many. I know my videos aren't the best production quality, but that makes them more realistic. I'm not here to convince others I'm better than them. I only hope to inspire others to take on a build of their own. Show them what can be made. Something achievable. Even with simple tools and limited skills. Sure, the finishing touches take a little extra, but patience anyone can make these. Learning the tools and acquiring better tools only speeds up the process. These are the simplest of all DIY designs. A good place to start. The Practical Scrap Metal Small Arms series is a great next step. I hope the videos of my projects convince them to give it a shot !

Who was not only totally delusional. He was also convinced that everybody had weapons of mass destruction……….. It is, alleged by one of his old PAs that he used to dance around the Prime Minister‘s office at number 10 Downing Street singing….
      “I-ee -a! I-ee-a! I’m the best king I am, I’m the best king! ,O E,IO……. 0 E,IO……. Satan is my daddy yes he is Satan is my daddy yes I’m a silly little girl!!!” (Toney Blare) (no honestly, I didn’t just make that up!)
      Yes, quite literally I believe the main reason they aren’t allowing us to have any weapons is because if we had everybody would’ve shot everyone else and Britain would look like …………. A ghost town from The made up old West.!!! Only with real blood!!!🩸

    Well if I want to build something and then I get caught with it then that's why I'm a dumb ass I guess.

      If this would be a struggle for you to build, you'll probably hurt yourself trying.

      @@jimafcarbon4433 I agree, 100 percent. I thought that was a funny line is all. Some people most likely would get hurt. I have the tools and what I believe to be most of the materials at my job. There's just some of the finer details I need(rifling for instance). I have plenty of firearms experience and would just like to say I built one of my own. As far as I've seen you have a very interesting channel and I enjoy the content. Stay safe.🙏🇺🇸🙏🇺🇸

    who you are really teaching this to is kids cause there are no age restrictions on this here. think about it. adults will buy weapons and kids can't buy em yet and there's a reason for that. for every adult here to learn this ten kids are gonna learn it too and likely more than some get hurt or hurt someone else when it goes wrong cause they are kids. I don't agree with showing stuff like this the people capable of doing it safely don't need the instruction the ones that do won't do it correctly anyway cause they don't have professional eyes for it like you do Jim. It may work then need attention later and how are they gonna know? it's not what they do for a living they won't see it

      OMG, what if a kid sees this video then makes one!?
      The other half are:
      We made a bunch of these as kids !

    I dont think your channel is for me. Too much gun building and cool fun stuff. I can't stand it. Im gonna report you to the socialists running youtube!
    But on a serious note, I can't express how much I love and appreciate you encouraging people to get out and build literally ANYTHING. I would very much love to see more handmade products in the world. Ive been contemplating for years now about trying to slightly redesign commercial products to make them easier for most people to make themselves. Either that or rebuild stuff to make it repairable instead of trashable and buy-another-one-able

      I like tools almost as much as I like guns. Having the tools and ability to fix and make stuff is becoming a thing of the past. Let's bring it back. Teach people how to use their hands and tools. We get more enjoyment out of using something we made than something we bought.
