I was trying so hard to find a video that helped me learn how to make it bounce sideways. I gust realized that you could change the angle. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Is there a way to just make text or a photo do the elastic or bounce effect without having it be moved in the beginning?

You can use the Essential Animator effect: th-cam.com/video/UWVIHKVMuWM/w-d-xo.html

Okay, I am just a beginner, but I also have 30+ years experience in programming and technical support. What I found in my animation is this: Placing a checkmark in the “Invert” parameter did not change the direction. It changed the starting location to be outside the view and by doing so, also changed the direction. I can see in your video how it immediately left the viewing area and moved up above it when you placed the checkmark in the box. In my case I wanted it to enter from the bottom, so I changed the “Scale” parameter to -0.6 which places the graphic outside the view and below it. This causes the motion of the graphic to be upwards. If you have both the Vector Section and the “Curve” section open, (which it did not in my version until I pinned the section open) you can see the “Distance” parameter in the “Vector” section change when you move the “Scale” parameter. The labels on the sections need to be evaluated slowly, as the word scale is used in so many places. One could assume it is the scale of the graphic, but it is the scale of the “curve”, and hence moves the graphic closer or farther from the center of the view. I can imagine, but do not have the time to try it, one could alter the “Distance” parameter BEFORE adding the modifications and thus change the direction of the motion. I am very happy that I found this video, thank you very much for giving me more ideas to improve my streaming.
Just my thoughts on. I love this video. I will continue to use it to learn this technique better and maybe design more animations than the one I am using.
    Thank you so much.

The drop shadow effect is an easy way to make text appear embossed, but I was wondering if there was a way to make text appear debossed, ie to appear "sunken in". So the shadow would be within the text, if you get my drift.

Ah. Just found another of your excellent videos that show how to do something like this. Thanks.

If you have more detail or a screen recording of what's happening, I may be able to have a look.

PROBLEM: I have a video of a person. I want to do a light "Edge detect" on the video except on the person's face... The face moves from one side of the screen to the other in an uneven motion... I can't seem to be able to track the mask over the face. Trying to use the Planer Tracker to track the mask. Just can't seem to get it to work. Solutions?

Is this effect similar to what you are trying to do? th-cam.com/video/jaixKDUeYgQ/w-d-xo.html, you may have to do manual tracking/rotoscoping to isolate the person and then add the edge.

@@EssentialVideoEditing no, but that is cool also! I was able to figure it out.
1 - I duplicated the video clip and placed it above the original
2 - I did my Edge Detect effect on the clip I used for the background.
      3 - I combined the 2 clips into a fusion clip
4 - In fusion, I brought in a Difference Keyer and attached it to the background and to the Foreground. I then attached it into the Merge box between the Background and MediaOut1
5 - I keyed out the parts in the foreground clip that I wanted the background to show through., and viola - the effect I was looking for!
      Thanks for your response btw!!!

Hi, do you have any idea how to Animate such a retro style clock in Fusion ? th-cam.com/video/vnAzUKQpT2A/w-d-xo.html do i need 60 ImagePlane 3D Objects or is there an easier way ?

    • @EssentialVideoEditing
      @EssentialVideoEditing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

No, I don't think you need 60 imagePlane nodes for that. I will make a video to show how we can do that in Fusion
