Why do ppl always come for Mariah. Girl was the most humblest during the early years of her careers(still is), and I don’t blame her for putting up that diva act cause I feel like that was a way for her to cope with the evil of the industry. The music industry today, like it or not, is not about singers doing what they like anymore but for ppl to make money off of them so they put women against one another. That’s why Mariah has gotten a tougher shell to fight off the evil of the industry, but then again only her real fans know that she is the humblest person because Mariah treats her fan like her own family. That was it from the start, and she had always been nice to the people. Of course she has insecurities, and as you should’ve known from her book or maybe from some youtubers, her insecurities grew from childhood. But people started to push her, and took her kindness for granted, starting in the early 2000s where people were sabotaging her career, of course she’d fight back, if she didn’t, someone else would sabotage her and take advantage of her. If she didn’t know how strong a person she can be, she wouldn’t be where she’s at today and she won’t be as relevant, people would just see her as the woman who sang in 90s and failed in the next decade. She was insecure people would write her off and replace her. But she had to fight.

Mariah wins this one. I've seen her compliment a lot of female artists over the years, but the ones she doesn't compliment are the ones who are not kind to her in the first place. We know her history with J.Lo, and who did what. Christina was at her prime when Mariah was having commercial and public difficulties, and maybe felt that she was on her way to replace Mimi. But no, legends do not fade away like that. I love Christina, but she's definitely not a better singer and not at all more talented than Mariah. She's also not as prolific. Taking 6 years off without any music and then releasing mediocre album after mediocre album? That's what's sinked her over the years.

I love Mariah but I have to say that Christina A. has always given props to the likes of Whitney and Mariah. However, she seems to ALWAYS get shaded on by other singer's. I've also seen Christina give top notch live tribute performances and receive absolutely no love. Also Ari lived in a time where emotional sensitivity is a social trend, pro-lgbt, women empowerment, feminism and mental health. If you’re following Ari, you’ll understand that she’s not the type to fight people and would rather be friends with everyone. And that’s what warmed Mariah because despite what media does to antagonize her against MC, she just deflects it everytime by posting a story on IG adoring Mariah, greeting her on her bday and commenting on her posts, until Mariah started interacting with her and asked her to be part of a video of AIWFCIY and finally collaborated with her on Apple’s xmas special even whistled together.

Mariah has definitely the range (very low notes and the whistle tone) but the "middle" is mostly made by moaning which I personally don't like hence why I'm not interested by an hypothetical duet. At the other hand Xtina has tons of power that would out-do a thunder storm and so many colours to her voice. Plus, Xtina always sings live, Mariah doesn't. I don't see any relation.
A duet seems impossbile to be honest but I really wish Xtina will have a comeback like Mariah's Emancipation.

I love how people are commenting on Mariah’s behaviour as though these clips are in chronological order. All of Christina’s clips from the first half of the video were from 1999/2000. The earliest clip of Mariah in this video is from 2000 - AFTER a public feud started.
